The outpouring of criticism about them both has been enthralling & entertaining, but I really think it's time to just leave them alone. Let them get on with their lives and sink into relative obscurity, like Edward and Wallis Simpson. What do you think?

I'm genuinely getting a bit concerned about their mental health. Remember Caroline Flack.
I'm really not shit-stirring.

Their mental health looks fantastic. Jumping into a pool with sunglasses on for a birthday! They're literally radiating happiness and grandiose narcissism

The very last thing Megan and Harry want is obscurity. They bang on about wanting privacy, all the time being attention mongers and using their (hair hidden) children to play peek-a-boo with social media and the press.

Viperregency · 09/08/2026 18:41

It’s more they keep leaking stories and courting publicity. It’s them at the root of this, but people are bored of them.

ThunderThighs123 · 09/08/2026 18:53

Some of you seem very well-informed. I appreciate your input. I had overlooked their own role in their predicament, and I suppose I made the schoolgirl error of putting myself into the shoes of people who perhaps don't deserve empathy. Narcissists are their own worst enemies as any fule no.

What an irony that, in the land of narcissists, they should be seen as beyond the pale! Awks 🤣

I'm watching Lady Colin Campbell responding to the backlash from M&H regarding the Harry's affair rumour which she revealed several days ago.
What's really striking is the anger with which she talks about it, them and especially Meghan. Goodness me!

I love the gossip but cannot understand the hatred. But, recently social media and discussion forums just seem full of haters, trolls and bots, generally, anyway.

I think Harry looks terribly unhappy in recent photos. I think H&M’s image is undergoing a planned and deliberate rehabilitation at the moment. I think working up to some kind of professional relationship with the RF and acceptance in the UK. Not necessarily HIHO but something similar. It will succeed, as it did with Camilla.

It’s very sad, H was always so popular, the UK was happy for him and M but they blew it. I think H regrets it and misses his brother and SIL and their children.

Yeah, well, some of us have still not warmed up to Camilla. And for some valid reasons. Don’t hate her, but haven’t forgotten either.

I know nothing about it. I was just pointing out that the Press will never forgive Harry for taking them to court.

Why would they?

Didn't it strike you as rather staged and inauthentic? She seemed so stiff and tense, desperately trying to appear spontaneous and fun.
And we haven't heard about any fancy birthday party, with slebs in attendance. It all seemed hollow, somehow.
I hope I'm wrong.

No reason. Just pointing out that the British press will continue to print stories about them however much they want anonymity (even if they did).

They don't want anonymity.

They don't want this.

They will make an appearance again and again. And again.

They certainly will as long as Harry and Meghan feed them info via the WhatsApp groups set up to do so.

feministmom4ever · 09/08/2026 20:44

They obviously don’t want to be left alone to fade into relative obscurity 🤣 they made a TV series and wrote a book about themselves! They are a couple of attention seeking, money grabbing, narcissists!

I was surprised this week after changing channel from LBC to avoid the monotony and patronizing of James O’Brien, to find that Talk Radio are still banging on about them.
I ended up listening to 70’s disco, a vast improvement over either station.

Your username is fabulous 😂

I know, my mother in law being another. She make me laugh, actually, with her impressions of Camilla and Charles. She cannot forgive them at all.

They did behave appallingly to Diana. It does seem wrong that Camilla is now queen. After they married and she was very slowly being put into the public eye, it was made known that she would not be called Queen when Charles became King. Fast forward 20 years of palace PR and there she is, Queen Camilla. I'll never forget in the Diana interview when she said "there were 3 of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded".

That was more than 30 years ago. Maybe it's time for people to move on.

I would be very surprised if her children have entirely moved on……

Interesting phrasing. “She cannot forgive them”.

I could understand judging them based on their behavior, but “forgive”? Surely she was not personally impacted?

We have no idea about William, because he's very private like that. If Harry can't, then he needs a different therapist.
Random members of the public with no skin in the game? Weird.

Sounds like a parasocial relationship. That was apparent after Diana's death, wasn't it? All the flowers and the weeping.

kirinm · 10/08/2026 14:00

ThunderThighs123 · 09/08/2026 11:17

It smacks of floundering around for things to say or do, so that we pay attention to them. I agree that they don't want obscurity, but this endless criticism of them both is appalling.
Maybe the best response from the public would be apathy?

So you did mean for this to be yet another thread to attack them then?

It was and apparent still today right on this thread, surmising the feelings of adults about the relationship between their parents who divorced nearly 30 years ago,

Yes, it's a very interesting phenomenon.
