Eugenie gave birth to a daughter on Monday. She was born in Lisbon, Portugal.

The baby’s name has not been revealed yet.

They might be not paying rent but presumably they have to pay the bills etc.

Not sure about a Portuguese influenced name. If my husband had a job in say, Thailand and I lived there part time, I wouldn't give my child a Thai name. It'd be weird.

How about Frederica Alexandra? Or Isabella Maria (the Portuguese equivalent of Elizabeth Mary).

The photo that was published announcing the birth on the Royal Family instagram account credited Jack Brooksbank for the photo. It was definitely a man’s hand, quite hairy.

I think she will be named Victoria or Helena (Eugenie’s middle names), with Elizabeth Nicola as second/third names.
Beatrice used Elizabeth for both of her daughters middle names so I think that’s a certain for this one too. Nicola is Jack’s mother.

Cecilie, and given she was a Nazi who died in a fiery plane crash, I doubt it very much.

Also agree re the houses they live in. The live in Crown Estates properties, so properties owned by us, for free. They are not working Royals. Why do they need 'an office' in a Royal palace? Beatrice is carrying on the work of her shady parents, so who knows who is paying their bills?

It’s from the brand of her distant relative - Marie Chantal of Greece. A gift from the Greek royals perhaps?

Victoria also had a daughter Helena which I will go for as my pick. I agree Elizabeth is likely to be a middle name - Eugenie was very respectful to her grandmother when she was alive.

That is not the question to ask.
The real question is - why this particular baby ? Why is this particular baby offered up for public consumption?

Posters here do not fawn over every baby a celebrity has so why this one ?

Its PR . It attempts to build the faux intimacy / parasocial social relationship that their dwindling support now relies on .

Speaking of Royal babies I’d love a tv series, similar to Downton Abbey, on the children of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. They intermarried with many Royal families in Europe.

Given that both her sons have the "st" sound at the end of their names, I'm going for Celeste or Esther or Estelle. Probably Elizabeth as a middle name.
