I would not submit to any questions by US law enforcement without a warrant.

I honestly think absolutely nothing will happen. This is a huge damage limitation exercise that reflects on the Monarchy and for them it cannot go further.

Just read the updated Entitled by Andrew Lownie. It has all been laid out there in great detail.

And while I also want to see AMW charged for alleged abuse of vulnerable women, depending on what TVP unearths, Lownie has always said that it would be easier, initially anyway, to follow the money and the paper trail and evidence from other trials and try him for alleged fraud while in office.

Lownie is aware though that, in reality, there will probably be a fudge! People seem happy to focus on George’s schooling or William’s love of Aston Villa, while ignoring the rather depressing outcomes of previous investigations and that the law is applied somewhat differently to the Windsors than to the rest of us!

Agree it’s too close to the Crown who have covered up for years. Lownie has it on record that the RF knew what AMW was up to fifteen years ago! Senior politicians, diplomats, one head of the FO and intelligence officers have given him evidence of this.

And Lownie and The Sun newspaper both came across the same information separately about Charles contributing to the VG pay off despite a rather sketchy rebuttal of this story from The Palace.

Everyone should think about this; that they knew what AMW had been up to and not only protected him and covered it up for years, but paid money on his behalf so that a trial would not go ahead. I for one find that extremely disturbing. I think it says a great deal about Windor values and their attitude towards women. And they are still covering it up!

And yet people continue to trust this family? How? why? I find it genuinely baffling! Of course I understand that they may have mixed loyalties turning in a brother, but when you have access to solid senior intelligence sources and diplomats bringing you evidence, there is no excuse.

Also, as you say the limitation exercise has been wide-ranging and extremely active. Some posters seem to have swallowed the story that the RF are doing everything in their power to allow the police to uncover the truth, when at the same time, in reality, the Palace are relying heavily on NDAs and leaning on former PPOs reminding them about the terms of their pensions!

I sincerely hope I am wrong but money , money, money, power, Influence and privilege makes all of the difference in our justice system when it comes to the RF and those on ordinary salaries who don’t have any of those assets simply cannot afford to speak out and tell the truth.

“People” though are not responsible for administering justice. So while some members of the public enjoy whatever hobbies they have, it has little to nothing to do with the lack of investigation of Andrew.

You seem to conflate individuals with institutions, using the Crown, the Royal Family, the Palace, the “Windors”, Charles and the term “They” as if they are all interchangeable.

They are not.

So while what you’ve written all looks at a glance to be very concerning, under inspection it’s a little less clear.

Also, Lownie’s book had 60,000 copies recalled and an apology issued due to what I can only surmise must have been an egregious error. He also used his mother in law as a source for some highly inflammatory accusations.

I can’t base my judgment of an entire family on that, nor on the wretched actions of bad man.

As I watched Fauci pleading the fifth to every question asked this morning, I remain dubious that the Monarchy is the problem here.

I think if he was ever going to do an interview he'd have done it soon after the Newsnight interview when he promised he'd do all in his power to aid the relevant authorities and expected the nation to swallow it 🙄

While he's supposed to have offered a written statement (rejected) I doubt his very expensive lawyers would ever allow him to do any form of 'live' q & a on the basis his crass stupidity and arrogance (as evidenced in the NN interview) might have the effect of inadvertently landing him even deeper in the shit.

What on earth has Fauci to do with any of this?

Having read extracts from his diary I applaud the man, he was trying to contain Trump. An impossible task.

I didn't bring up Fauci? You did!!! Anthony Fauci has nothing to do with this thread, not sure why you think otherwise.

You asked me about it and then said you wouldn’t discuss it further. I was trying to establish if you intended for me to answer the question or not but obviously not.

You brought up Anthony Fauci, out the blue, it is irrelevant to the thread and I said so. He was the former Chief Med Adviser in the US. Not UK, so not relevant.

You claim the Monarchy is protecting him as if the form of government is the problem while another form of government, a democracy is doing the same with a man that had a global impact. You don’t see the relevance because it doesn’t suit the pre-ordained conclusions.

I’ve just read that AMW is still a Counsellor of State. Obviously will never be called upon but how long will it take for that to be resolved?

He was never going to speak to the FBI, he's stupid but not stupid if you get my meaning. At one point I had hoped that he would have consequences for the financial irregularities at least but now I'm afraid that so many would be implicated in the government and civil service that it will never happen.

He had a massive legal team in both the US and the UK and they will have advised him not to go on record anywhere! I agree, a lot of skeletons in the cupboard.

From a legal point of view that's good advice I suppose.

I do wonder why no one else has been prosecuted in connection with the Epstein files. It's not about British monarchy for me but a much wider, international example that the rich and powerful are rarely called to account.

Absolutely this but imho this shouldn’t stop us Brits prosecuting our own.
