I expect most of you know all this but it may be an update:

I’ve been exposing the royals for decades. Andrew has pushed them to the brink

That is a very interesting article, thank you

I’m abroad and the article is blocked. I’ll try and remember to look at it on my return but me not comment isn’t because I haven’t tried.

I was going to C&P but I think the pics through it, might muck it up!

Ahh thank you
don’t worry I’m back in a few days so hopefully will remember! Just didn’t want to look like I hadn’t bothered. 😁

Try this instead:

I've been exposing the royals for decades. Andrew has pushed them to the brink

Thank you - Think it may be because I use Duck Duck go and I’m abroad as I got this again

I’ll try when back

AMW continuing his effort to end the Monarchy part 5
Recklessismymiddlename · 27/07/2026 14:03

Thank you anyway.

Thanks for this.

I think Graham Smith sums it up when he says “The royals have lost their shield – the late Queen,”

I've always thought and said the wheels would fall off the gravy train after her death although even I didn't expect it all to unravel quite as quickly and spectacularly as it has.

I really can't see how full transparency can save them either when it may expose even more of the egregious troughing suspected.

Thank you OP and some of the other regulars - you are very polite and gracious on this thread, the late Queen would be proud of you! I worked on an exhibition where we borrowed some chairs from one of the Royal Households and we had to say they had been graciously lent to us...

I joined in with a thread about the Trooping of the Colour - where posters were getting a right royal roasting - and thought I'd look to see if there was an ongoing, but not sycophantic one, and found this.

LipglossAndLies · 27/07/2026 22:56

The generations coming up after the boomers do not care too much for this archaic institution and after this exposure on Andrew as those generations struggle with jobs, money and ao on more questions will be raised about the cost of having a Royal Family.

I read something today that one fknthe European Royal Families only earns approx £300k a year but does plenty of engagements which speaks volumes.

simpsonthecat · 28/07/2026 12:25

Interesting.... the only 'honour' Andrew still holds is Freedom of the City of London. He only received it because it was passed on when his Father died. The City of London Corporation thought they did not have the power to revoke it so they wrote to AMW asking him to surrender it voluntarily.

He ignored the request.

So a new bill is being drafted by the legal officials of the Corporation which would enable them to remove the honour.

Don't you think once, just once, he would do the right thing?
Obviously not.

OP posts:
CathyorClaire · 28/07/2026 19:48

So much then for his 'tendency to be too honourable' 🙄

Worth noting that he's still technically DoY but has magnanimously (🙄) agreed not to use it.

Wouldn't surprise me if he finds a way to do it though especially when the HRH he also agreed not to use was seen slapped all over the boxes when he moved 😡

BasiliskStare · 28/07/2026 19:55

@simpsonthecat "Don't you think once, just once, he would do the right thing?"
Well I agree , one would have thought , but why would he change the habits of a lifetime. Frankly , given his much touted "I have done absolutely nothing wrong re JE , I am innocent /maligned (my paraphrasing) " , the fact he won't go to the US to answer questions when he claims he is innocent in such an important thing means he probably can't be bothered to shift his arse off the sofa watching the golf , or whatever he does all day , to reply to the mere City of London Corporation.

@CathyorClaire re SF and Paddy McN " More fool him if he's left her a brass farthing but even if he has she'll have spunked it before he can turn in his grave." - the speculation I have read is that he may have left her a house and some money but the money would be in trust as he knew her well enough to know she'd blow it - or indeed spunk it in your wise words 😂 . I can't access the Telegraph article I think that was from the DM online.

simpsonthecat · 28/07/2026 19:58

Basilisk... I agree. It means a man like him will never ever learn, will never show regret, will never look back .

Thank you @BrandiedAromatics - he clearly had a bit of sense (if you leave being close friends with Fergie to one side 😂) More lives than a cat that woman .

BrandiedAromatics · 28/07/2026 20:08

So many questions regarding why he might have left her anything. But if we take it on face value he's left her a house I hope it's secured in chains.

Weren't Bea and Euge supposedly the brakes on flogging the 'nest egg' Mews that still went with a substantial loss on the purchase price?

She's proved she can't be trusted with a humble collection box. Why is anyone giving her the benefit of any doubt now?

simpsonthecat · 28/07/2026 21:14

I found it quite odd that he has left her house/money. Is it verified or is it just a made up story by media.

The Mews house was a very peculiar purchase and sale. It was meant I thought as an investment for the daughters, then it was rented out, then it was sold at a loss.
But all their property dealings have been dodgy. SouthFork sold to a Kasakstan oligarch for £3million more than the sale price. Then left to rack and ruin. Then raised to the ground.

The Swiss chalet that had debts on it and court cases swirling around.

The whole family were/are total liabilities.

OP posts:
HoldMyWine · 28/07/2026 21:34

The whole family are money launderers pure and simple I would suggest.

BasiliskStare · 28/07/2026 22:24

I think the family got into the habit of thinking the world owed them a living , and they didn't have the judgment to realise when there are times when if something looks too good to be true , it's because it is too good to be true. And without the wit to think at some point it was all going to come out. It should have come out sooner , but better late than never.

Recklessismymiddlename · 29/07/2026 06:15

So blooming murky. Why would an ex leave an ex something in a will? Very odd.

The only thing I’d say re going to the US to give evidence, wild horses wouldn’t drag me to another jurisdiction, but I’d answer questions in the uk. US? Zero chance. Seen too many episodes of Law & Order!

AnnunciataM · 29/07/2026 07:18

No, I can't blame him for not wanting to go to the US. But surely any questioning could be done via a secure video call?

Recklessismymiddlename · 29/07/2026 12:33

Exactly, why hasn’t he done that at least???

BasiliskStare · 29/07/2026 12:51

Actually I do agree - a secure video call is more what he could be reasonably criticised for not participating in.

Basilisk... I agree. It means a man like him will never ever learn, will never show regret, will never look back .

I would like to see Andrew charged and tried for trafficking and for abuse. I think the facts need to be laid bare for all to see and a judgement should be made.

But (and I know this will be terribly unpopular) until then, that happens, it’s hard to understand how someone becomes so convinced that they KNOW.

Because of the Dan Wooten thread I needed up reading through many old threads here about the Byline Times and also some things offline.

Posters, some highly visible at the time, were absolutely ready to fry Dan based on accusations that were later found in court to be unfounded. I am not sure if any of them came back to discuss the court’s findings or not.

I also just watched a Netflix documentary called “A Toxic Love” which made my head spin.

So while I personally dislike Andrew and think he’s likely guilty, until he’s legally charged I remain confused about what people want to happen exactly. Could you shed some light?
