Also, !YOU! mentioned reading Fauci’s book and even decided to bring Trump into it then try to shut me down from even responding?

You claim the Monarchy is protecting him as if the form of government is the problem while another form of government, a democracy is doing the same with a man that had a global impact. You don’t see the relevance because it doesn’t suit the pre-ordained conclusions.

I don’t think you meant “Monarchy” anyway, though.

The problem for AMW is that he may have allegedly committed a criminal offence in the States and IF the evidence becomes overwhelming there is a chance that his position might become untenable and he would have to go to the US.

In the UK he appears to have possibly committed civil or criminal offences.

Fauci was a respected scientist and senior medical official representing the USA Government during Covid who for political reasons is now being pursued/persecuted.

He served under seven US presidents and through numerous health crises, including the HIV crisis, Ebola outbreaks and the first coronavirus outbreak.

He pleaded the fifth because he is being pursued by an unhinged Republican senator and bc Biden gave him a pardon in advance knowing that he was going to be pursued for political reasons, which included, him calling Trump an incompetent idiot and odious adolescent!

These are two completely different issues and people and scenarios and one has absolutely nothing to do with the other!

Leaving Fauci to one side, if you are trying to say that cover up happens in countries that are republics, as well as in monarchies, of course that is true, but at least in the former, the general public have a chance to vote the incumbents out!

Absolutely this but imho this shouldn’t stop us Brits prosecuting our own.

It’s not stopping us Brits from prosecuting our own..
There’s a police investigation going on at the moment for misconduct in office that involves four or five different police forces. The UK have asked the US for the redacted Epstein files, which at present they are reluctant to share. If they do eventually agree to share this info then there’s a lengthy mutual legal process to go through first. There is unlikely to be any successful prosecution without those files.

You seem to conflate individuals with institutions, using the Crown, the Royal Family, the Palace, the “Windors”, Charles and the term “They” as if they are all interchangeable.

They are not.

So while what you’ve written all looks at a glance to be very concerning, under inspection it’s a little less clear.

Also, Lownie’s book had 60,000 copies recalled and an apology issued due to what I can only surmise must have been an egregious error. He also used his mother in law as a source for some highly inflammatory accusations.

I can’t base my judgment of an entire family on that, nor on the wretched actions of bad man.

It’s in many people’s interests to try and discredit Lownie. The bulk of what he wrote about in Entitled had already been reported in many different newspapers though; he just brought the information together in one place. So if you are saying that the majority of his findings are untrue, you also need to discredit all of those newspaper reports too. I don’t think you are saying that though?

And no I agree that Charles, QE2, the institutions of the FO and intelligence services and the Palace, are separate entities and non-interchangeable, but they each bear some responsibility in allowing AMW the leeway that he had, so let’s get to the nub of it…

How would you describe the Head of the FO going to the Head of State reporting AMW’s alleged nefarious deeds and being sent away with a flea in his ear?

Is it a cover up? Or a conspiracy? Or just a total abdication of responsibility by many in power? A right royal fuck up?

Either way, if AMW is proven to have made deals and gained financially off the back of his official position as trade envoy, then he should be brought to justice. Ditto allegedly giving away state secrets. Ditto alleged fraud and money laundering (the latter being an offence that legally one is required to report if discovered btw!) Ditto trafficking vulnerable women.

I am not an expert on the Constitution but the ruling Monarch cannot (conveniently) be prosecuted. The late Queen knew this, So where does responsibility lie? Does it fall to the Head of the FO for giving way to the Monarch?

Or does responsibility get passed to Charles who must have known eventually bc he was allegedly involved in paying off VG which took place only a few months before the late Queen’s death when many powers had already been transferred to the then Prince of Wales?

At this point in all fairness I should point out that Charles at least objected to AMW’s original appt as TE saying he would use the position to make deals and pursue women. But that is also proof that he had pretty good knowledge of AMW’s activities way back when.

Or does the responsibility lie with the MIGs at BP who once the facts were known, proceeded to cover Andrew’s back? Maybe a loyal lackey will take the fall as usual and then be rewarded in other ways?

Or does everyone who provided funds for VG’s pay off bear some responsibility too?

As I keep saying on these pages, remember that AMW would still be free to carry on doing god knows what, had the Epstein trial not taken place!

So it may not be a coordinated cover up exactly but AMW’s activities have still been, er, covered up for at least fifteen years, (can’t think of a better term) and so I would be interested in knowing who you think is responsible precisely?

Also, if you know that a member of your family, or anyone of your acquaintance had committed a crime, do you not think you are morally obliged to report them, particularly if you are head of the C of E?

The above scenario seems to me a convincing argument to support the Republican cause as our unwritten constitution assumes that our Head of State will always do the right thing! Most people agree though that QE2 was wrong to favour and protect AMW.

And before anyone points to Trump and the USA arguing that cover ups occur in Republics too; yes of course they do, but the USA president holds many more powers in their system than ours ever would, and he is about to face mid-terms when it is widely believed he will lose the support of both the Senate and Congress …hopefully democracy will prevail… .

If a Monarch commits a crime themselves or covers one up, they cannot be prosecuted, but ultimately, a President can be impeached.

And remember, theoretically, at one point in history, we were only one polo or helicopter accident away from AMW being king.

How anyone can support this system is baffling to me!

I’ve read posts on this board questioning why GM and AMW are the only people facing consequences and saying it’s unfair when many more powerful American men were involved and seem to have got away with it. I agree with this point but I don’t think it should be used as a justification for the Brits not to prosecute our own. I’m sure there is a lot of useful evidence in the Epstein files stil to emerge and who knows when the USA administration changes, much more information may come to light.

But on the UK side it was reported by Lownie in Feb 2026 (who cited a staff member who looks after AMW) that AMW spent Christmas 2025 destroying documents just prior to his arrest by TVP. Obviously if the RF had not dragged their feet for so long and continued to protect AMW then he wouldn’t have had the opportunity to destroy potential evidence,

Lownie also, through FOI requests, exposed that the Department for Business and Trade "may no longer retain" memos, emails, and flight cables detailing who accompanied Andrew on his official government trips.

And in interviews and updates of Entitled, he accused Andrew's taxpayer-funded security detail of “ turning a blind eye” while accompanying AMW on his trips including to Epstein’s private island. Because flight logs were destroyed or incomplete, Lownie has continuously advocated for the release of PPO rotas and palace security logs from 2001–2010.

Lownie argues that since PPOs keep detailed journals and logs of who their principal meets, their notebooks are the only way to bypass the deleted flight manifests and prove who AMW was meeting.

And obviously there have been reports that BP are leaning on the PPOs to this day reminding them to stay quiet and of the terms of their pensions.

And even quite senior figures at the FO who were previously happy to speak to Lownie have suddenly become reluctant to do so.

Fine if you want to characterise all of that as tin foil conspiracy theories but it all sounds quite detailed and specific to me.

Exactly. Both on the advice of counsel. Both in an effort to avoid being trapped into saying something incriminating but also because there is no benefit to answering questions when you are being investigated. In fact, it’s long been pointed out that the rights read when doing so include “anything you say can and wi be used against you.” With no mention of it being used to potentially exonerate you.

Fauci also refused to testify in part because lying to congress is illegal even if you haven’t done anything else wrong. People have served time for this even when simply getting something unintentionally wrong.

None of this makes AMW less guilty. But it’s silly to say refusing to be interviewed by police is a sign of guilt. Only a fool would do so.

Recklessismymiddlename · 30/07/2026 06:31

@Ferrycrossingmakingwaves9 makes a very valid point, that KC when POW, didn’t want AMW to have the TE role. I’ve thought that before. What made him think that, and why was he opposed. Those are questions I’d like answered I think.

If AMW sees the inside of a prison for Epstein I’d be very very surprised.

I doubt you’d ever get him on the Epstein stuff but the misconduct in public office if can be proven, well I reckon maybe different.

He wouldn’t be the first royal in the tower, so to speak.

Yes. Charles knew exactly what his brother was like. However Mummy overruled him and gave him the role despite there being no due diligence done or questions about suitability for the role. Files released show that the head of international trade had said how much QE2 pushed for this
Fast forward years and there he was sharing confidential government information with others , Epstein being one. The Lord Chamberlain was told he was doing this, but he buried it. Unbelievable.

Yeah ok, I appreciate the effort put into your post, however, a lot of this has been posted about before.

As I said in my earlier post there is an investigation ongoing in the U.K.but you can only prosecute if you have sufficient evidence that would stand up to scrutiny, otherwise the case collapses. It is also, I think, naive to believe that if we prosecute Andrew in the U.K. it could bring pressure on the US to do the same.

In all honesty though, I don't think I'm the best person to be discussing this at length with as I'm actually really not all that interested in AMW (if the redacted files ever get released I'd be more interested). I like to dip my toe in on these threads every now and again but apart from that, meh.

Just picking out this bit from your excellent post, @Ferrycrossingmakingwaves9, but is Charles actually on record as objecting, or is this merely a bit of spin designed to distance him from the mess?

It's always interested me that the opprobrium rightly heaped on Andrew for his enablement of paedophiles doesn't extend to his older brother, but perhaps it's one more example of a determination to protect whoever occupies the "top job" in order to keep the monarchy show on the road?

Totally agree - up to and including Ed Perkins, TLQ's deputy press secretary in 2011, and his bosses.
