Objectively speaking, is it entirely true that they are not needed, or is that just your opinion?
There has been lots of press coverage about the RF being stretched and not being able to fulfil there remit nowadays as it is!
I have read Monarchists arguing on other RF threads that one of the reasons why William was upset with Harry for leaving, is that it landed him and his family with more work?
Especially given the fact that currently, the most hard working members of the institution; The King, Princess Anne, and The Duchess of Edinburgh, are all over sixty.
And the statistics that show the popularity of the RF declines the younger the section of the population being polled.
And given the recent unfortunate news that the RF collectively are carrying out fewer engagements for far more public money?
Also, if the RF want to represent their citizens with credibility, then it would have been helpful imho, if Meghan, with her mixed race heritage, could have been included in the core family.
H & M have remained popular in deprived areas of the Midlands for these reasons. If we are stuck with a monarchy and not an elected head of state, then I think Harry’s more relaxed style of interacting with the public is more suited to a younger audience.
Just a different perspective.
