@Mylovelygreendress They want the association without the work. Of course Meghan liked the idea of being Royal and kudos, but it meant working and she didn’t like the rules. She preferred to monetize her position and silly Harry then writes a book most people thought was in poor taste. Meghan was never intending to fit in! It’s certainly possible if you have a calm, less volatile and sensible husband!

I didn’t blame them for wanting a new life, fair play and good luck to them. I doubt it was easy and you would have to have titanium spirit like Princess Anne to keep going in the RF while your sibling gets a bit more in the way of money etc. Harry is not PR Anne.

But no, running your family down in public, rubbishing your family in every interview going knowing they (like the NHS, Teachers etc) cannot defend themselves properly. Then the audacity of spewing the most venom and slinging mud when your dear Grandfather who put duty first everyday and complaints in life last was dying and your dearest grandmother grieving was for me the last straw. I dread to think of their days listening to this knowing they had no time left here to defend or fight.

He talks about love, humility and peace. Fear of cameras in the UK, hatred of most of his family. This I can appreciate, so why now to return?
They would have succeeded if they had been pleasant, positive about their family and moved on, they’d have been dining out every night and loaded.

Every family have issues, maybe without the National lens, but many people suffer awful abuse, grief, disease, illness, tragedy etc and have to somehow in some awful way carry on with life. This is not to say he isn’t suffering, but finding a way.

🙄 Every time Harry comes to the UK it's the same recycled stories and the same arguments. People read a headline based on unnamed sources and instantly decide they know who's leaking. Half of it is speculation wrapped up as news.

God it’s so cringe how they leak all these stories trying to drum up interest, on one side they complain about media intrusion on the other they spend their time leaking stories.

It’s so amusing to see all the predictions about Harry and Meghan coming true, all the pushback from their fans at the time when posters laid out their realistic predictions for what they expected was in store for Harry and Meghan, and here we have it Harry and Meghan proving how wrong their fans were.

I would love to go back and pull out some of their quotes and blind deference to H&M, I still remember a few of the names of the most deluded, it would be a great laugh no doubt to prove how mistaken they were, but I guess that is not in the spirit of MN.

I remember lots of assurances that Meghan would be a great film producer because she had been in Suits. The evidence for this was that Reese Witherspoon does some producing. Some struggled to see any difference between RW, an Oscar-winning, A-list film actress and influential Hollywood player who has had a production company for many years, and Meghan, who was in a cable tv show in Toronto for a while, but has no production experience, no Hollywood clout and indeed had left the business years earlier.

Oh and remember how they lived by the word of the Byline Times 😂😂.

Well we know that Harry emails People magazine directly because they included the text of his email to them when they were talking up his 40th birthday plans and we know that Harry claimed not to have friendships with journalists in his recent court case (thats not the exact phraseology - but the gist) and then lo and behold we learn about movie snuggles and a weekend of naughtiness messages to a journalist.
We know that Meghan briefed Omid on his book, denied it and then oopsie, just remembered i did brief him, soz judge...

So, we do see a pattern of behaviour that certainly points to possiblity that they leak.

He went on Oprah and wrote a book spilling all the family secrets. How can anyone trust them again? They definitely wouldn't be told anything confidential if they do meet up.

my take is the desire to see the king. And bring his kids, is simply leverage for them to bolster their Image as they are failing so badly.

if they only wished to mend the relationship none of this would be in the media.it would be a private visit. It’s not. They are all ready trying to leverage it.

The idea that Harry and Meghan always leak to the press but the Palace exists in some briefing-free bubble is genuinely amusing.

Royal reporting has been built on aides, friends, courtiers and anonymous sources for decades. Everyone knows the press gets information from multiple camps, yet people still declare with absolute certainty that this one must have come from Harry and Meghan.

That's not evidence. That's just bias dressed up as fact. A few examples doesn't equate to they definitely do it every single time and its noone else but them 🙄

That’s it I think - unlikely ever to find out for sure but you can make an educated guess based on past behaviour and thinking about who has something to gain from articles about Harry, Meghan and the king in all the papers 🤔

They didn’t want to be working Royals. They wanted a quiet life in the USA. I say they but I’m sure it was MM who manipulated the move by her claims of racism. I doubt any of the RF gave a toss that she was mixed race. What they DID give a toss about was how unkind they found her. Dear old H has been digging his heels in for all the years they’ve been gone. How can he let his birth family prove him wrong. I think (hope) the scales are dropping from his eyes and he can now see the wedge his wife has driven between himself and not only his family but the British people. She’s a grifter that had no intention of fitting into the role she’d married into. She’s used him for all her hare-brained business ventures which have fallen flat. The USA are bored shitless with the pair of them so he’s holding an olive branch out to daddy. The trust has been broken. I hope the King tells them to do one. What a foolish man Harry has been. Did he not know how MM treated her first husband? Can he not see the high turnover of personal staff? Is he not bothered by the fact she doesn’t see her own father? She’s secured her future by having the two kids. Wish he’d hurry up and bin her off, because it’s coming.
