Will they stay at Royal Lodge? I really hope it all works out for KC and to see his grandchildren would be lovely.

Harry is wearing a baby blue linen shirt and a black 'Invictus Australia' baseball cap. Meghan is wearing a darker blue and white striped shirt.

Isn’t it Mike Nolan?

Who is this YouTube performer then?
Anyway, I think only teenagers watch YouTube nowadays?

Oops sorry, cross post.

I watch YouTube. Wait, do you mean actual YouTube content?

Nope! Engagement tends to indicate interest!

No thankyou .

This is often used as evidence that Harry needs security now, but that interview is 4 years old, and even then he was talking about the past. Threat levels change, it’s why they assess every time he comes. Someone tried to kidnap Anne but it doesn’t mean she needs 24/7 security because that particular threat is no longer a concern.

But as I understand it, Harry’s statement seems to imply that the the promised up-to-date assessment hasn’t happened, so how can they judge this accurately?

What are white ring extremists?

Dunno. Perhaps they're no longer a threat if it was 4 years ago. However, RAVEC will be on it.
UK taxpayers will fund it of course.
That really is good enough for everyone else. Not "Hazza" it would seem.

So Harry is solely responsible for the legion of increasingly hysterical stories and broadcasts and You Tube podcasts produced about his potential UK visit?

It’s hardly his fault that the press response to H & M is wildly out of proportion to the situation in hand!

I was looking at one such by Marc Dolan which popped up on my You Tube feed today after reading a RF thread!

There he was shouting and waving his arms about in the middle of the street, wearing comedy glasses, accusing Harry of behaving like a toddler 😀

He really comes across as quite deranged but it must be worth making a fool of yourself for the £££££ I suppose?

So many of these supposed royal commentators making a buck out of a family feud and licking their lips with glee are ghastly!

Yet so many monarchists on here seem to support their views? It’s a mystery to me honestly!

Why does H have to announce his plans ? For someone so concerned about his security he is certainly making it easier for someone of ill intent to harm him .
If he didn’t make such a song and dance about everything, there wouldn’t be podcasts etc .
The real Royals don’t always announce their plans ( eg Catherine’s weekend challenge) so why do the fake Royals ?
And what about Invictus in all this mess ? Surely the veterans are more important that H’s tantrums .

RAVEC are a panel of experts in the field. They will not put him at risk. They know more than Harry, that's for sure. He is not an expert. He just wants to make a few headlines.

Was it ever officially announced that there would be a review ? I know H asked for one but normally security matters are top secret so who promised him a review ?

The plans are known about anyway because, according to the current rules, Harry has to give quite a few days advance notice of his visit and because of this, quite a few people get to know and the news filters out. This was one of Harry’s objections to this rule I believe.

Good question @Mylovelygreendress

Harry: I’m very worried about my security, I don’t feel safe in U.K.

Harry: Here is my U.K. itinerary

The deal was they need to give 30 days notice of their intent to come to the UK then a threat assessment would be done and security granted based upon that.

We have not been told that they have the appropriate notice so they must not have done so because heaven knows they cannot walk into a room without announcing they’ve done so to the world.

Ravec may have done an assessment but will not tell us because it would compromise their security to even announce they intend to come.

Ever had a job where the people you support are actively working against you?

No. It only filters out because Harry tells people. He shouldn't do that, but then again he's an idiot.
He's getting as much security as other members of the RF, who are actually working.
Anne, Edward, Sophie etc get no security at all unless they are working. Edward travels by tube, Sophie by bike, Anne and her husband go to restaurants in London and Gloucestershire. They have all had serious threats against them. Anne was once the victim of a kidnapping attempt at gunpoint.
Harry, whenever in the UK, gets appropriate taxpayer funded security, even though he's binned off the UK.
The problem is that he shares too much because he can't stop taking about himself and the man is a risk.
Knocking on random doors in London?

I call bullshit, they announce themselves everywhere they go. One day I hope they have their “we have met the enemy and it is us!” moment. It has not come yet.

You do understand that Security Services are used to dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information? If people’s lives are potentially at risk there is no way H’s plans would have been leaked .
There would have been a security review for Catherine’s weekend and that didn’t leak !
Anyone with half a brain can see that the last few months ( Project Thaw etc) are being driven by the Sussexes . They want back in the fold so are leaking and plotting - the very things H accused the MIGS of !

The trouble is, that Harry and Meghan love publicity too much and share everything. That makes them a huge risk.
No-one knew Catherine was going to do the Three Peaks Challenge because she didn't brag about it, nor put it all over Instagram.
It's impossible for H&M ever to be as low key, modest or circumspect like this.
It's all about the pictures and the headlines. Sad.

But as I understand it, Harry’s statement seems to imply that the the promised up-to-date assessment hasn’t happened, so how can they judge this accurately?

From a news report: Ravec had concluded that because Prince Harry was going to be an infrequent visitor to the UK, his security needs would be assessed on a case by case basis.

This is why he is supposed to give notice, so they can assess the risk and sort appropriate protection.

I believe his request to the Home Office was in the hope that instead of this bespoke case by case arrangement, they might decide that he should get automatic protection at all times, regardless of the level of risk. Currently the only people with that level of security are the King and Queen, and the Waleses. This is because of their constitutional importance.

However - if the case by case threat assessment for a particular visit determined that Harry needed 24/7 armed security, he would still get it now. The risk is assessed each time he comes and appropriate protection provided. If on the other hand he is judged to need the same arrangement as the King, he wouldn’t have to give notice and the risk wouldn’t be assessed each time, it would be automatic. So he could turn up at a moment’s notice and have 24/7 full armed security which wasn’t actually necessary. That’s what he wants.
