Can’t see a new thread so thought I would start a new one to continue discussing the grifters

I read something that suggested that a significant deciding factor in their leaving the WRF was when Meghan realised that eventually William would have the power to determine how much money they would receive. I doubt he'd be factoring in endless Dior haute couture or £50k dresses like the engagement shoot one.

I remember reading ( before Megxit) that eyebrows were raised when Meghan’s clothing accounts landed on the Duchy desk and concern that she wasn’t using British designers ( or indeed the High Street).

Sorry forgot to add screenshot

What a disconcerting record Harry has of repeatedly disregarding people's boundaries and social norms, if we want to be generous, or of assaulting people where he thinks he'll get away with it, if we don't.

MyDogClive · 20/06/2026 14:38

Once George reaches adulthood, the Montecito muppets aren’t even going to attract people to boo them. They are becoming less relevant by the day.

That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy watching their attempts to get attention though.

The RF has covered up a lot of this man's egregious behaviour for years

Sadly, I think I agree.

An interesting side story from Richard Eden. The £1m Harry donated to Children in Need during his end of 2025 self promotion tour was actually not money from his own earnings. It was money from a charitable trust fund that had been Diana’s and which was divided between her sons on her death. Interesting that Harry never mentioned that small detail.

Hopefully they'll have the Defence Minister and a royal representing the King rather than the actual King.

To answer another poster, the reason they have a one year to go event is because it's such a minor sporting event they need to keep reminding people it exists.

I've had an idea. The King could send the Lord Lieutenant Derrick Anderson CBE to all Invictus events in Birmingham.

'The Lord-Lieutenant of the West Midlands is His Majesty’s personal representative and the role involves supporting civic, ceremonial, voluntary, charitable and social activity.'

Here he is: https://wmlieutenancy.org/

He is Black, British, and supports the King's priorities, which are Community, Culture, Commonwealth and Climate. The Lord Lieutenant Derrick Anderson has said, 'We are a diverse region, vibrant and full of energy and ambition, not just for ourselves but for one another. Together we are stronger. We celebrate our diversity but also share what we have in common with one another.' Perfect. No family involved - but official, ceremonial representation.

Yes, he remembered to say it wasn’t Archewell money, but was ‘personal’ and came ‘out of his own pocket’ (according to People), but seems to have forgotten to mention that it was from a different charitable pot and not his money at all. Funny how absent-minded he is.

Amazing isn’t it? He invokes Diana at every given opportunity, but this one time where he should give credit to her, because that money was collected due to her work before she died, he singularly fails to. And since he was asked whether that was his personal money, he can’t claim this was a matter of semantics or omission. He lied.

And actually, isn't it revealing of H's mindset ... i.e. isn't it peculiar what Harry considers to be his 'personal money'?

There is evidence from others that he feels like this about other charities, like Ingriftus (M's catwalk), Sentebale ('an extention of the Sussex PR machine') and possibly others.

I was reading an article about the Duchess of Gloucester today. Apparently when her husband was born, he was fifth in line to the throne. Most people, especially under a certain age, know little about him and he grew up the royal fold. Archie and Lilibet are sixth and seventh at the moment and live in a foreign country. They will be irrelevant when they are adults.

He was 5th in line after Queen Elizabeth, Princess Margaret, his father and his older brother ( who was killed in a plane crash in the 1970s.
He is now 32nd in the LOS .
Harry should take note .

I regularly read here that A & L will be 'irrelevant' when they're older as they will be so far down the LOS but I think they will always be in the spotlight in some fashion. Their parents love the limelight and they've got titles. Especially Lilibet Diana....what a heavy saddle of a name. Wouldn't you love if she changed it to something simple like Grace when she is older?!

Yes, poor girl. In spite of some crazy claims on the other thread, it's a really identifying name.

Can't she just go by Lili? I expect that's what she's usually called anyway.

And unless her parents somehow manage to build bridges with the royals, she and her brother will just be minor curiosities by the time they are adults.

JSMill · 20/06/2026 16:12

@Fromhere1fair point. There’s no doubt if Archie and Lili grow into attractive adults and want to be in the spotlight, they’ll definitely attract media attention. However, they will go out there and actively seek it. Zara T is way down the line of succession but she gets a fair amount of media attention because of what she does for a living. Peter Phillips, on the other hand, is seldom seen in the papers.

'The Crown never dies' and W will become King the minute KC3 breathes his last - it's an instant transfer of power. Who knows what he'll have already decided to do about H&M!

She’ll probably just be “Lily Windsor” or “Lily Sussex”- there are so many Lily’s in her generation it’s going to be easy to blend in if she wants to. Archie and Lily are both pretty common names in their age group.

At a guess, extend significant respect to Aunty Anne and Uncle Edward in terms of funeral seating and procession order.

Haz will be invited, but offered the bus along with lesser family members.

They will probably do what they did with the Platinum Jubilee and “ miss “ the bus necessitating a limo .

I can imagine they may turn out to be quite odd and awkward if they’re anything like their parents, and with such a dysfunctional upbringing.

Ah, @noonames , you have my sympathy.
I tried a little irony/humour on a different royal thread yesterday and had people carefully explaining to me why Carole Middleton couldn't become Queen Mother.

😂😂😂😂

I totally missed the sarcasm and thought Harry had actually said it in an interview. It says a lot about the guff he comes out with that it was believable!

elessar · 20/06/2026 16:47

Although it doesn’t feel nice to speculate about KC’s demise, I can already picture the shenanigans from Montecito if there’s a similar situation as with the late Queen and the family dash to the bedside.

I can imagine Harry kicking off, demanding Meghan (and maybe even Archie and Lili, who barely know their grandfather) be allowed to attend. I wonder if it’s something William has already considered how he might handle that situation, or if it’s something he and Charles have discussed.

I should be very surprised if H&M were allowed to do another walkabout, though I believe last time they were going to go rogue and do their own one and that’s why W&C stepped in.

Almost all the Hollywood A-listers have kids. Even child free Hollywood power brokers like Oprah have extended family and friends who they will promote. Stars like Goop can get projects for daughter Apple by leveraging her massive fan base and her impeccable Hollywood connections. And Goop would do favours for people who can help her kid...and that is not the bridge nuking Sussexes.

H&M have no resources to launch either child. Moreover, by the time the kids are in their 20s the core Diana fanbase will either have died or retired...not exactly a free-spending target market for consumer retail. Willam will likely be on the throne with the drawbridge up, the portcullis down and guards ready to haul any Sussex who trespasses off to the Tower.

Hollywood is oozing with attractive people, either genetically blessed or (more often than not) have been to the right plastic & dental surgeons. Being prettier than average is an entry point and not a selling point. And claiming a relationship to famous relatives who don't acknowledge your existence...is not a selling point either.
