He's just so important, ordinary walls can't keep out the rampaging danger.

My G&T has just been lightly sprayed all over my iPad.
Observation of the day! 😆

“He is said to be looking forward to introducing Archie and Lilibet to friends and family”
Which family members is he planning on introducing them to?
I really don’t think anybody will want to see them.
Maybe some of the Spencer’s - but I have been (mentally) through the entire RF and I just don’t know who would want to see them.
Even the outer circle of the family- I can’t see anybody wanting to piss off The Wales. I mean -why would you?
(I screenshot and posted a picture of the DM article which has the above quote in it).

He'll guilt William into meeting his 3. Hope William tells him to f** off

If this is all from the Sussex camp, then it shows they are failing and aren’t living their best life. Which some of us have suspected for a while…

And they have not even set foot in the country yet, imagine the leaks once they get the keys to a royal residence, maybe Meghan will give us a guided tour of the private apartments on her Instagram page.

‘And this is the housing unit …’

Starryfifty · Yesterday 18:32

I thought the firm were, well firm last time H leaked about a visit. Now it's all out there and no response from the RF

Which party has leaked that they are staying ?

No one with any authority.

Perhaps he does mean the Spencers. I agree, no one in the RF would give them the time of day.

Recklessismymiddlename · Yesterday 18:52

I’d love to know if all the family do come and stay at a royal residence how the Sussex fans will spin it. I assume something like the RF need the Sussexes, when we know it’s the other way round, otherwise the Sussexes would never have capitulated!

I really hope the RF tell them to take a running jump but emotionally I know that’s very hard to do.

Not2identifying · Yesterday 18:58

I agree with @noonames's predictions.

I'll add:

Most (not all) of the British media coverage will be positive.

The reason for my guess is that they found 'Harry the Villain' generated lots of clicks, they've found the endless drama has generated lots of clicks, and now they feel a change in the narrative arc towards redemption and the 'prodigal son' will generate lots of clicks. Even if it's people disagreeing with them.

I'm also inclined to say that they will publish photos of the British public fawning over them. It won't be hard for H&M to find people that are curious to see famous people and people who haven't been paying attention and people who think H&M were the victims of 'The Man'. Those photos will be used by the media to poke at the Royals and say how much they lost when H&M left.

The British media: 'it's all the drama, Mick, I just love it!'

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · Yesterday 19:03

I remain unconvinced that Meghan and her collection of badly crumpled outfits will come to the UK. Something will 'unexpectedly' happen to prevent it, that she thinks shows her in a wonderful light - a friend in desperate need of her showing up, pissed, in a bad frock at their charity night, or whatever.

Starryfifty · Yesterday 19:04

It's last chance saloon for H and Meg. I'd say they want something set in stone that they guaranteed their titles, and some RF role when he passes. Unless of course there's a thawing with William

TheAutumnCrow · Yesterday 19:08

Long predicted extraction operation?

Puzzledandpissedoff · Yesterday 19:10

I think the RF has done a very good job on the whole in refusing to comment on most of the stories the Sussexes put out
I am glad that they have officially commented on the security one, given that it is again being suggested that the King might act unconstitutionally

I agree about the RF staying schtum, @bluegreygreen - it's really the only thing to do in the face of this stupidity - but wasn't aware they'd said anything new about the security?

It's just that the Mail made it sound as if there was something fresh, but then as usual they're desperately fishing for clicks about something that may never happen

Of Harry? Could be…

BasiliskStare · Yesterday 19:12

Like others I really hope H can find a way of privately rebuilding a relationship with his father , and I hope his children with their grandfather. I truly do. But surely in the name of Betsy , if he didn't make such a palaver out of everything he could very privately done this already. He doesn't seem to understand he is not part of the WRF - he is a member of the family & in important ways these are different. He now still has a title , not a significant constitutional role.

If BP isn't secure enough - what does he want? If RAVEC thought it necessary on a bespoke basis I am sure they could put some camp beds in a basement at GCHQ. Behind a locked sealed door with no electronic communication to the outside world. 😂(That is a joke - but seriously what is the man on?)

I think H is spinning this for all he is worth - I can't see anything he now has that was wasn't given to him before his court case. Ie a bespoke arrangement. I wonder if H never understood the word bespoke or has he forgotten it since the freedom flight and his wife has had to wear off the peg. ( Too naughty ? 😊)

We shall see but a 😂to the (is it? ) Godzilla type memes and other amusing comments.

Just meant the piece I copied from the article, @Puzzledandpissedoff, where the palace is reiterating their position on not interfering with security matters.
There have been so many reports (or rumours) over the last couple of days about what the King was apparently offering that I'm glad they've been very clear.

The palace position remains clear that all matters of security are for the Home Office to decide upon.
It is not the case that His Majesty plays, or could play, a determinant role in that process, nor has he made any private undertakings to his son.

He’s quite mad at this point. It’s something or oblivion and I don’t know what I’d do in either his father’s or brother’s shoes given the monarchy roles.

This family is self-interested but it is tough and utilitarian (‘for the greater good - well, at least for the look of the thing’). I’d be heeding the sage advice of ‘fool me once …’.

This is it for Harry. Whatever happens, this is it. He’s built his life overseas after all with his family. That was a clever Xmas broadcast statement in hindsight.

I know, bluegreygreen, but I'm not clear on whether the italicised bits are something new the palace have said, or whether it's simply the Mail's take on their already stated view?

Same with the reports about what H&M have been offered by Charles. Remembering the palace silence how would they know ... unless it's been leaked by Harry and clearly there's no point in believing anything he says

Not2identifying · Yesterday 19:40

@TheAutumnCrow - Charles said the following comment is his speech when he first became King (not during a Christmas broadcast):

I want also to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas.

I don't think he's ever mentioned them in his Xmas broadcasts (I was able to find headlines saying they weren't mentioned in the first one in 2022 but couldn't find anything for 2023, 2024 or 2025 (it's amazing to think there's been so many; I feel as if the Queen died only a few months back).

Justmuddlingalong · Yesterday 19:53

You know that toe curling mortification you feel when you've made a total tit of yourself and you have to see those who witnessed it?
Do you think that Harry and Meghan don't actually possess those feelings of embarrassment, when not only the Royal family but also a huge chunk of the UK population have watched their shenanigans?

My guess is that all of this is from the Sussex camp. A mixture of wishful thinking and forcing KC's hand.

Not2identifying · Yesterday 19:55

@Justmuddlingalong I haven't seen any signs of shame or embarrassment. I have seen enormous egos and self-importance and righteousness.

Zero shame/ embarrassment. They just never self reflect. If they were successful in the states, this visit would not be happening. I'm sure the RF know this
