He would need to have his diary arranged in order to supply the deets. I don't know if "Harry's team" works far enough in advance.

I don't think Megs, or the kids, will come for "IG minus 12 months". For the actual IG, maybe, but not this summer.

I think it will be a PR and reputation nightmare for Invictus if Meghan surfaces for the year to go (or whatever the stupid name and idea is) and even worse if they use it to launch the kids.

I am sure Harry wants it, probably feels he is entitled to bring his wife and family if he decides to, Meghan would love the exposure and the column inches it would generate, but I think Invictus would take a huge hit if she or the kids show up.

Invictus need to be very careful, their patron is very unpopular and lots of questions being raised.

Apparently there will be a 'one year to go' (until the Invictus Games) ceremony in Birmingham.

It just seems so OTT for a tournament which basically takes place in a single stadium and attracts few spectators outside the competitors and their families. It's hardly the Olympics.

Yeah OK then. Even if I was interested in going, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't benefit from a pointless ceremony a year beforehand. Who is going to these things?

I have never understood it. It didn't happen with the World Cup or the Olympics?
It's literally just to give Harry and Meghan something to do, and to get publicity.

A year is too far in advance to drum up interest in the games anyway.

I really think Invictus has run its course and needs to be wound down or subsumed into other charities doing similar work. But of course it's the only thing linking Harry to his old life, so the show must go on.

It's like a massively premature "Save the Date" card.
Maybe they're coming over to arrange for the real Games to be held a few days earlier in their backyard so they can be private and special before the spectacle for the masses in Brum.

As far as I know, they've had to give away tickets for free at the last few IG.

Of course that doesn't mean the games are not significant and valuable for the competitors and their families, but it's not the sort of event which generates much public interest. The hype and spectacle around it is totally out of proportion with the scale of the event itself.

I’ve told this story before but bear with me! Sophie Wessex-now-Edinburgh has been the royal patron of the National Autism Society since 2003. Some years ago she came to spend half a day at a regional branch that I was involved with (she was very nice and knowledgeable), and drove herself there.

This is a DM article - I'd be interested in what US posters think . I do think they've squandered a great deal of good will though in a relatively short time. I suspect M was good at selling - not so good on the follow up.

I've seen several things on the internet that says that Meghan has parted company with her dropshipping partner - Snow Commerce - and from now on Shopify will ship As Ever Products.
