Meghan and Harry the grift that keeps on grifting. Long may they continue. Better than any soap opera on the telly.

Lowest!

Ha, good spot on the lowering of the shoulder straps @jeffgoldblum . Trying to be sexy indeed! Hoist by her own petard in that South Park gave her the full off the shoulder look she desired, immortalised in cartoon form.

Harry just loves touching the boys, doesn't he? Nipple tweaking, buttock touching, face slapping, stomach palming, he's got all the moves ... while his paid goons are with him.

No wonder Prince Handsy is on the scrounge for extra security.

Papercompany · 14/06/2026 19:16

I never noticed that photo of Louise's Christening.... can't believe she wore a different colour to the theme. I bet Catherine was raging. I've never been to a colour themed event but I can imagine my difficult sister in law not abiding by it just to annoy us all!

The weirdest thing about the pink 2-piece is that it was apparently bespoke - so if she’d wanted the fit to be lower she could have requested it at the fitting.

You see it in pieces Kate wears - she has adjustments made to necklines or sleeves all the time to her preference.

I wonder what the designer thought when she saw her beautifully fitted top all wrinkled.

Yes, bespoke Carolina Herrera. I think it's actually a very pretty outfit, just not appropriate for the occasion, at least the way she's wearing it, and that salmon pink colour does nothing for her. I wonder if the shoulders slipped due to (yet another) poor fit or did she deliberately push them down?

Serenster · 14/06/2026 19:31

Speaking of dress codes, Kate has been criticised for years for the pale yellow outfit she wore to Meghan's wedding. It even came up a few days ago as Hello accompanied their post about the beige dress she wore to Peter Phillips’ wedding by saying “Kate Middleton's controversial cream royal wedding guest dress gave us déjà vu”. The criticism has been particularly vitriolic amongst Sussex supporters on social media.

The thing is, if you look at the formal photos of the wedding, it is quite clear that this was a carefully planned colour scheme. The bride and the bridesmaid are in white. The groom and grooms’ party are in black, Charles is in grey, and QEII in a fresh pale green. The other ladies in the party - Doria, Camilla and Kate- are in very pale shades of pink, yellow and green. Everything coordinates beautifully for the photos with the white and yellowish-cream flowers in the bouquets against the emerald green wallpaper of the Windsor Palace room where the photos were taken.

The chances that this wasn’t a beautifully harmonised colour scheme chosen by the bride herself are negligible. And so Kate would have been wearing exactly what she was asked to wear - a new version of an outfit she already owned in cream, but in paleyellow, with a marching pale yellow hat. Meghan could have called off her flying monkeys at any time on this issue. She even spoke at length about the wedding on Oprah. But then, she seems to have a positive agenda to denigrate Kate, so why would she?

I must say, they (or their team of stylists) are so good at coordinating group outfits that will look great in photos. Except for when someone goes rogue of course 😱

I guess it’s meant to draw the eye and focus attention in a certain direction, but it just looks a bit gauche, like someone doesn’t really get it.

I’ll never not be amused and bemused by how that stock footage wasn’t caught by the documentary makers on final edit.

A researcher has clearly put the words Harry and Sussex and photographers into an archive footage search and grabbed the Harry Potter film premiere and Katie Price at Sussex crown court without noticing it had nothing to do with Harry and Meghan.

Because the mythical "intrusive media chasing M" does not exist, I suspect either H&M or Netflix deliberately added false information to sell the "intrusive media" narrative.

Bearing in mind Netflix quite happily had a ghost Diana in several episodes of The Crown, falsified John Major visiting Diana at Balmoral (we have this from John Major himself) and edited QE2's commonwealth speech to support the "racism" narrative.

IMHO, misrepresentation is core to H&M's narrative as the truth doesn't support their narrative.

It's a funny thing and really not that important in the grand scheme of things. But it does show a lack of interest in fitting in with everyone else.

And if Meghan hasn't made a point of insisting she tried to fade into the background by wearing beige all the time none of these outfits would be remembered. I've never come across a celebrity couple who make such a mess of presenting a consistent narrative.

Serenster · 14/06/2026 20:07

The actual quote was:

“"Most of the time that I was in the UK, I rarely wore colour …To my understanding, you can't ever wear the same colour as Her Majesty if there's a group event, but then you also shouldn't be wearing the same colour as one of the other, more senior members of the family. So I was like, well what's a colour that they'll probably never wear? Camel? Beige? White? So, I wore a lot of muted tones, but it also was so I could just blend in. Like, I'm not trying to stand out here. So there's no version of me joining this family and trying to not do everything I could to fit in. I don't want to embarrass the family."

It’s hard to see how Meghan could have decided that senior royal family members never wear camel beige or white. She clearly never googled… QEII and Camilla wear white to most evening engagements, and Camilla wears a lot of white for day as well. Kate has always worn them loads and loads.

When in fact she wore bright yellow, bright blue, purple, green and red.

Also, even supposing her theory were true (it's not) what does she mean by 'most of the time'? The vast majority of her appearances in her short time as a royal were either solo or with Harry. She would only have appeared in public with the more senior royals on formal events such as Trooping or Commonwealth Day - so just a few times a year. And she certainly didn't dress so as to fade into the background on those events.

You have to ask, what's more likely

A) That multiple high profile, skilled, world renowned design teams keep getting it wrong with MM so that the fit of the custom made garment is off
B) That the problem stems from the common factor, ie the person wearing these outfits

🤔

'Tis truly a puzzlement...

The only time l have ever thought she looked nice was in the outfit she wore for the Buckingham Palace garden party a few days after they got married, or when she wears jeans and a white shirt,
Everything else is too small, too big, badly fitted (which is so odd for made to measure clothes), too long (hello trousers), or simply does not suit her shape.
My mum said before they got married “she’s a very odd shape isn’t she- and those stringy legs, where’s the shape?. I thought she was being a bit mean but with hindsight she was bang in right.
I suppose it’s not helped by Harry thinking she’s like Diana when she’s nothing like her - physically or otherwise- at all.
I too wonder how the designers of her clothes feel when they see her in their outfits that rarely fit properly. No wonder she doesn’t seem to have ‘favourite design houses’ like Catherine does. They must be horrified.
I suppose the fake boobs can’t help either! Wonder if she wears them when she’s going for fittings- maybe that’s the issue!

SqueakyDinosaur · 14/06/2026 21:40

It’s so bizarre what Harry sees compared to reality, he is indeed, just like the film character, Shallow Hal.

PullTheBricksDown · 14/06/2026 22:00

She has on occasion worn outfit I've really liked on her, @DaisyDooley

Went and looked and here's two. The skirt was criticised for being see through but that was only at certain angles, and I really liked it

No idea about fake boobs but I do think she needs to invest in better underwear especially bras .
It’s not her fault she isn’t a great shape but she really doesn’t dress to suit her body.

Vivid colours too for her best looks. No boring beige.

BasiliskStare · 14/06/2026 22:07

I think M can look lovely - let me make that absolutely clear. I thought the boat neck navy Dior dress on the balcony was pushing shoulders as far as was possible , without being over the top.
I think ( and maybe this is more Style and Beauty than for here ) , and it is only my impression , she loved the labels / designers she could not hitherto afford more than letting them work out what suited her figure / body shape. An example , the ( again Caroline Herrera ) red dress she wore with the optional ball gown type skirt and has worn the dress on its own subsequently I think wore her , rather than she wearing it. I think she's got a decent figure , I am no one to cast aspersions , but with the budget she had from KC wouldn't you think she could have done better to have bespoke outfits which suited her. It doesn't surprise me a major fashion house hasn't taken her on as an ambassador. I don't think that's entirely owing to her wearing ill fitting outfits either - I don't think she has the cachet they want any longer. Once , maybe , but I think that time has gone.

& reining my point back to PR disasters - why that D&G outfit when you are not model tall and you've invited yourself. It did look a little over the top. But she likes a drapy cape ( cf commonwealth green outfit) . Also , she was quite happy to have a colour scheme for her wedding (which Catherine adhered to ) but didn't think she should join in suggested colour schemes for other events.

But hey - she wanted to "hit the ground running" and between her and H they could "change the world. " Doesn't look so likely now M does it. 😉

bluegreygreen · 14/06/2026 22:17

Just looked up that navy Dior dress, Basilisk. It's lovely - and, as you say, just at the limit of what is acceptable for the balcony.

This is another navy dress she wore that I thought was lovely on her (though usually I thought bright colours worked better for her)

I have always wondered why the press have never picked it up.
There’s definitely some fake boobage going on somewhere as she has none in Nigeria, yet at the Commonwealth service her outfit looked like it was straining to contain her boobs!
