Meghan and Harry the grift that keeps on grifting. Long may they continue. Better than any soap opera on the telly.

Exactly. Rude, arrogant and entitled.
I think as her father in law was paying for bespoke Dior, Givenchy and Stella McCartney, the least she could do was check what's normally worn.

The other issue with the trooping dress was that it wasn’t supposed to be off the shoulder to that extent, it was supposed to be like her wedding dress, if you look at the pictures of them in the car before hand , it’s painfully obvious that she pulled it down her shoulders.

Wow, really? Imagine seeing Trooping as an opportunity to be sexy 😬

Why is H touching Spike Lee on his stomach / chest?? Hugely inappropriate. Lee seems to be quite unhappy with it

I’ll never not be amused and bemused by how that stock footage wasn’t caught by the documentary makers on final edit.

A researcher has clearly put the words Harry and Sussex and photographers into an archive footage search and grabbed the Harry Potter film premiere and Katie Price at Sussex crown court without noticing it had nothing to do with Harry and Meghan.

Another thing about H&M that'll never not be funny.

Katie effing Price.

Harry just loves touching the boys, doesn't he? Nipple tweaking, buttock touching, face slapping, stomach palming, he's got all the moves ... while his paid goons are with him.

The only one of these that I think was actively offensive was the shorts at Invictus. The others were just choices.

Also, we don't actually know that there was a dress code either for the christening or the Commonwealth service. Plenty of Commonwealth countries have that bright darkish green in their flags - it shouldn't be all about the red white and blue.

I can't get too excited, either about no hat or about off the shoulder (and IMO it was actually a very pretty outfit). It's the 21st century, FFS.

You mean everyone just so happened to wear the same colours by coincidence to the christening? Even similar shades of blue?
Really? 😂

For the Commonwealth service that year - I was watching the TV coverage and they announced just before the senior royals arrived - that there was a red, white and blue theme that year (obviously briefed by the palace although the dress code changes from year to year). But dressing like a leprechaun certainly stood out and grabbed the headlines! Even Harry got the memo and didn't coordinate with her (blue suit/blue tie)

Actually @Lunde I think the inside of his suit was the same green.
She is either really unlucky to have made so many misteps, or did it on purpose to cock a snook at the fusty old royals.

SqueakyDinosaur · 14/06/2026 17:10

I think it's probably her total inability to seek or act on advice. She was always adamant that Harry was the only one she needed advice from, and I don't think he's much of an expert on women's dress codes, which are much more complicated than men's.

jeffgoldblum · 14/06/2026 17:12

@noonames and @FenellaFeldman, ho,ho,ho ! 😁

Why not just look at some of the pictures from previous years?
Why not ask someone?
Extraordinary.

It looks so much prettier when it’s worn as intended!

wordler · 14/06/2026 17:27

That’s the sort of thing that all the women around her would have clocked immediately - and found very bizarre in the context of an official engagement.

I know it will never happen but I really wish someone like Sophie would write a behind the scenes book about all the things they saw that wasn’t made public.

Yes, much nicer for day wear

jeffgoldblum · 14/06/2026 17:29

Indeed! Obviously Meghan felt it wasn’t “flattering “ enough 🤷‍♀️

Mylovelygreendress · 14/06/2026 17:34

She loves her shoulders almost as much as she loves her title.

There was very obviously a blue and cream colour code for Louis' christening, to match the decor of the room. You can see it right down to Charlotte's hairband. Otherwise we're meant to think that every man in the room, across several different households, all just happened to choose a blue tie?

wordler · 14/06/2026 17:56

The weirdest thing about the pink 2-piece is that it was apparently bespoke - so if she’d wanted the fit to be lower she could have requested it at the fitting.

You see it in pieces Kate wears - she has adjustments made to necklines or sleeves all the time to her preference.

I wonder what the designer thought when she saw her beautifully fitted top all wrinkled.

Carolina Herrara - a designer also used by Queen Letizia of Spain. However, Letizia always looks elegant and well put together. Very different.

Did Harry stop smiling in photos before he met Meghan or after? I'm sure he used to smile at events.

These days Harry mostly looks like he's holding in a wet fart. See the christening photo above for an example.
