Hello I thought I'd start a thread where we can build up the excitement for tomorrow 😂

I'm enjoying the English Country/ family vibe I'm getting from the setting and wedding prep.

Fox Gloves in the flowers 💕

I'm looking forward to seeing Harriet's dress, she's a very attractive women, but the flowers are always of special interst to me.

Who do we think will be bridesmaids? Peters P's and Harriet's daughters presumably? Zara's kids?

I read that Philip and Zara have a half sister who will be attending, I didn't kow about her!

I also read that Peters first wedding to Autumn was sold to Hello and criticised for this. Very tacky. It looks like he's learned and is not cashing in this time, so hopefully we'll get a good look at evryone.

I thought the dress was really striking although for some reason I was really surprised at how white it was and just how long the veil was.
I don't think it's wrong for a second wedding but I don't know if I would of done the same given his ex-wfe also had the white dress, the veil etc...

Also since so much has been made of Harriet as an NHS nurse, whilst we’ve established she clearly has other money than her NHS income to fund her daughter’s education and her stylish wardrobe - I’d like to know how she gets time off for all the big events. She attends Badminton every year, Wimbledon, photographed at some sporting event in Dubai and other society events plus Easter with the Royals. Though I know she has specialised and probably works an 8-5 weekday pattern rather than ward shifts. Still, she does seem to manage her off duty rather well.

My guess is she WAS an NHS nurse (although why they always have say NHS I don't know. Surely 'a nurse' is good enough? )

I also suspect that since meeting Peter P he has helped fund her wardrobe so she appears well dressed at public functions.

It's like Keir's wife- 'works in the NHS'- but she can't possibly be doing it regularly with all the overseas trips etc she accompanies him on.

Perhaps B and E can’t afford stylists anymore now their parents aren’t bankrolling them so they have returned to their previous frumpy style.

It’s nothing to do with stylists they have never had good taste and let’s face it they’ve been living rent free in mansions and their husbands have good jobs so plenty of money to spend. They have never got it right then again neither did their mother

I do think a lot of people here have no idea how other demographics behave. Generally, for events like weddings, funerals, black tie, white tie and christenings, most people I know already have appropriate clothes to wear, so they are not going to be rushing out to the high street for the latest, immodest fast-fashion offering in polyester or viscose.

Maybe they should. I haven't seen such a drab looking bunch of people for some time.

Good Luck to them all. I thought Anne looked an absolute fright. Something relatively plain and new would have been better.

TaoJing · Today 08:27

Can anyone shed light on her tiara?Does it belong to her family or is on loan from Princess Anne? The name is mentioned as if we all know where it's from.

PlentifulPeoniesPlease · Today 08:27

Ahah. I’ve found it. I love the second from right at the bottom. My favourite. Don’t know whose wedding that was.

Charles has put on a lot of weight? I thought the opposite!

I agree, I saw a photo of his recent wedding the other day and he’s lost a lot of weight!

Just looked up India Hicks' wedding. Elegant? Noooooo! It's probably the frumpiest wedding dress I've ever seen! It has a polo neck 🤣, sleeves down to her hands, skirt almost ankle-length but not a beautiful bridal length, and all in thick, solid, curtain-like fabric. What was she thinking? She looks like a nun attending a tea party! For reference, one of the wedding dresses I've liked best was Kate Middleton's. Appropriate with just the slightest hint of sexy, and nothing frumpy about it at all!

India: Omg.

Well, we can all have different views but I still think it was elegant and I like the covered up arms and neck - she was married in church, so bare arms and shoulders would have been awful. Her dress was also right for her age - not trying to look like a young girl.

I felt embarrassed for her son.
Goodness knows what his wife thought.

Well said. Do they not have full length mirrors? Less is more. Stylish, good quality clothes. British if you want to go down that route.

Well I’m guessing she gets 25 days a year off like everyone else and also bank holidays which she can work and use in lieu. Working for the nhs doesn’t mean you don’t get holiday time.

how odd.

and yes she still works as a nurse, but clearly has other income, likely family money,

It was loaned by the jewellers that made her engagement ring.

Some of these comments are abhorrent, Anne’s is 75 years old and looked lovely and bright and summery, she’s not there as some fashion icon,

of course her son and his wife were not embarassed, what’s wrong with you you’d even think that.

@PlentifulPeoniesPlease I’m with you! Im
surprised they still do the passing of the cup, I think that’s quite unusual now

The number of days goes up with long service. I think it’s 32 days for over ten years. And if she’s in a weekday only pattern she will have all the significant weekends and bank holidays off so I suppose she is able to make it work.

She probably didn't give it a second thought. I don't remember what my MIL wore to my wedding, the fact that she was there, being her usual lovely self was all that mattered.

Princess Anne was very stylish in her youth and has plenty of nice outfits to choose from in her wardrobe.
Someone posted a roundup of all her past royal wedding outfits on X but I can’t find it now. She wore a lovely purple one to one wedding.
I like what she wore to Harry’s wedding though perhaps a rewear of that to her son’s wedding might be a bit tainted. 😉

Hideous, Sorry.

She should have given it a second thought. I don't like women as glorified clothes horses but really it was a shocker.

It signalled to me " I don't give a stuff"

We can all agree to differ.
No one says she has to be a fashion icon.

You might think she look 'bright and summery' but other people think she looked a mess.

She was there as the mother of the groom and also as a senior Royal.

75 is not old these days.
Joanna Lumley, Helen Mirren, Lulu, Twiggy- all older than she is and look elegant and appropriately dressed for occasions..

I don’t like women hurling abuse at other women for their style choices, it really is a shocker.

As it’s a private wedding and not contracted to Hello I don’t suppose we’ll see anymore photos but I’d love to see the dress after the lace top (and veil) have been removed. I expect it looks lovely.

I do hate seeing bare shoulders, especially strapless dresses in Church which seems popular these days. It’s easy enough to have some form of cover up.
The lace top did have a rather high church/catholic vibe but overall I liked it and it’s great to have a totally different look without having a second dress for later.
