Hello I thought I'd start a thread where we can build up the excitement for tomorrow 😂

I'm enjoying the English Country/ family vibe I'm getting from the setting and wedding prep.

I'm looking forward to seeing Harriet's dress, she's a very attractive women, but the flowers are always of special interst to me.

Who do we think will be bridesmaids? Peters P's and Harriet's daughters presumably? Zara's kids?

I read that Philip and Zara have a half sister who will be attending, I didn't kow about her!

I also read that Peters first wedding to Autumn was sold to Hello and criticised for this. Very tacky. It looks like he's learned and is not cashing in this time, so hopefully we'll get a good look at evryone.

An NHS nurse, in her 40's, been divorced a decade. Meeting him 'naturally' at their daughters' school.

There is hope for us all!! I know I'm no upper class, but still. One can hope!

I always think Sophie wears clothes that are too 'fussy'. She's not overweight but isn't sylph like and often her clothes make her look chubby because there's too much material or too many fussy things going on - maybe large prints, bows, big sleeves, frills etc. She'd suit a much more streamlined look.

Her dress today has puff sleeves, a gathered bodice, a full skirt, lots of buttons and frills on the sleeaves.

Al together it's not a great style. It makes her look bigger than she is.

We all know he's not a royal.

Thank goodness we’re not all attending an event to be subject to this level of going over!

They do get plenty of perks though to compensate for photos in the Mail.

have no idea who Isabelle de La Bruyere is but her outfit is stunning. my DM's warning about wearing heavy earrings often looks like it was correct.

That's quite a nice idea but the high neckline isn't flattering IMO.

I simply can't understand why people feel it's OK to be supervigilant and critical. I wish the happy couple a long and happy future together.
Irrespective of outfits /body types /perception of individual demeanor /possibility of repeat outfits etc etc etc etc etc

And one who has to go to the effort of clicking the thread and typing out the comment to let everyone else know just how much they don't care.

I’m appalled anyone thinks someone who calls out women attacking women for their appearance and slagging them off, is someone in a halo, like it’s the norm for women to attack other women over their appearance and slag them off on their wedding day,

I agree, that Sophie looks better in more tailored and less fussy clothing .

I doubt it - I read he was a personal trainer

However I do believe there is/was money in her family as she is distantly related to Richard Duke of Gloucester, a stockbroking firm and a brewery empire. However, her father died in 2023 so it is possible she inherited as well.

Has anyone here wished the couple anything but happiness?

Why did you take the trouble to click on this thread and comment? What were you expecting when you saw a thread entitled 'Peter Phillips Wedding'?

So why didn't you respond to that comment instead of getting bitchy about the entire thread? The discussion has been on the whole very good natured. Or at least it was until you came along.

For someone who's supposedly against 'attacking other women' you seem to quite enjoy being aggressive towards other women yourself.

They're both divorced and in their forties after long marriages and have families with their first spouses. Seems a bit silly to have a big white wedding, as if they're a young couple in love embarking on building a lifelong marriage and family together. Muttons trying to be lambs! 🤣 I'd have expected them to have a wedding more like Charles and Camilla's.

MN is a public forum. people are bound to have different takes on the outfits
Some will love the outfits and others won’t
Fashion is subjective and not every comment that isn’t glowing is necessarily being ‘negative’ or overly critical

The bride looked lovely and it was refreshing to see her respecting her church wedding with covered shoulders and sleeves in her dress.

The bridesmaids looked very classy.

Your view of good natured and mine are very different indeed. I think some of the comments are awful,

I agree that all the critique must be clothes and style related and we are not here to criticise other women’s bodies. I think the majority of posters have stuck to that.

The bride and groom do look very happy which is the main thing.

The bridesmaids dresses are interesting. A sort of vintage 70s Laura Ashley vibe
