Hello I thought I'd start a thread where we can build up the excitement for tomorrow 😂

I'm enjoying the English Country/ family vibe I'm getting from the setting and wedding prep.

Fox Gloves in the flowers 💕

I'm looking forward to seeing Harriet's dress, she's a very attractive women, but the flowers are always of special interst to me.

Who do we think will be bridesmaids? Peters P's and Harriet's daughters presumably? Zara's kids?

I read that Philip and Zara have a half sister who will be attending, I didn't kow about her!

I also read that Peters first wedding to Autumn was sold to Hello and criticised for this. Very tacky. It looks like he's learned and is not cashing in this time, so hopefully we'll get a good look at evryone.

The press tend to bleach out wedding guest outfits in pastel shades to make them look white or ivory to create drama about the guest trying to upstage the bride, when nothing of the sort has happened

Camilla always looks great

She wears the same outfit in different colours with a few added embellishments. She could try more midi length dresses, more flattering.

The style and beauty board must be having conniptions today. All those pale near white (as we can see them) dresses, fascinators, and OMG, Princess Anne, wait for it..... was wearing a (drum roll) - PASHMINA. The item of clothing most derided on S+B for weddings.

Good on ya Ma'am. It's a great thing for a cool day.

Some of these very ordinary dresses were probably very expensive, designer dresses, but they looked no better than those at Next, M&S, which is fine but at this kind of society wedding I’d expect exceptional outfits.

They may well have looked much better in real life. In my experience the fabrics of very expensive clothes next to cheaper high street can look so much better (as the women in high street, it was noticeable!). Also what they are paying for is for clothes to be fit to them.

Really? Bet it wouldn’t even occur to them!

Love Kate's outfit. She does look cold, and equally could have been hot, as quite a thick fabric.

But the style and hat I love. She always goes just the right side of demure.

Can't honestly imagine popping into Next and coming out with Kate's outfit ...

Are Beatrice and Eugenie even invited?

I’m interested in frocks of all varieties and the cake.

Is his wife to be from a……how do you describe it……..society family? Or ‘normal’?

Come on. Clearly she’s not your regular NHS nurse and comes from a posh family. Not aristocratic but upper middle class posh. Her daughter goes to same school as Peter ‘s children and that’s how they met. That school costs 60K a year. So easy for a single mother / NHS nurse to afford 😹

Am obviously old and grumpy (I’m same age as Peter Philips) but I’m not a fan of the full bridal regalia for second weddings.

I am also the same age as him and you, and neither old nor grumpy, and my second wedding is going to be as celebratory and fancy as I damn well please.

Grrrr. I can't find it! But I LOVED her outfit at her wedding to Charles. It was so intelligently put together in every respect.

I would put a bet on the dress coming from The White Room in Minchinhampton….

Which is fine: you can do what you like. But people still have opinions.

Yes that was beautiful, but most of her outfits are very samey

My friend married for the second time in a church this year, it 25 years ago I wasn’t allowed to remarry in a church so maybe the CoE has relaxed its rules a bit. After all, a wedding will bring in £££ to the coffers.

It was perfect. It even coordinated with the decor in the room.

I remember watching that wedding and thinking 'Wow. That Parker Bowles lady scrubs up well!'

@Nofeckingway I think Camilla outfit at her wedding with headpiece was fabulous.

I thought Camilla’s silvery/grey long coat outfit with the feathers bending over her head was one of the most beautiful bridal outfits I’ve seen on any woman of any age.

Edited - yes, this outfit in the post above!

IcedPurple · Yesterday 14:23

No footage of anyone leaving? The service should be over by now you would think!

Maybe her ex husband pays the school fees.

She's found a formula that works for her.

The outfit for the blessing in St George's Chapel is exquisite - the long pale blue coatdress with very fine gold embroidery. It was in the V&A wedding dress exhibition some years ago and was one of my absolute favourite pieces.

MrsHeathcliff26 · Yesterday 14:25

You English ladies do wedding attire so beautifully. Hardly anyone wears a hat in Australia and I think they always look so elegant. The bride looks amazing! 🤩

All this talk of Isla Phillips being "gorgeous" etc.....she's only 13.

So what? 'Gorgeous" just means she looks nice.

TaoJing · Yesterday 14:25

I'm not keen on the bridal dress.

It looks quite 'plain' considering what else she could have chosen.
Not saying it should be all flouncy, frills and lace but it's not especially flattering IMO.

Edited to say- I don't think a full veil and train are really 'on' for a 2nd wedding. Full veils were supposed to signify 'pureness' and virginity in times gone by so I personally think 2nd weddings need something a bit more restrained. Maybe ivory instead of pure white and a lovely 'dress' rather than full-on bridal attire.
Just my opinion.

Not Next but definitely ME + EM

Are they out yet? If not, a long service. How many hymns have been sung do you think?
