“Harry expected to at least get an invite,”

At least? Was that the absolute minimum required?

What else did he expect?

To be best man with Meghan as MoH and the children as bridesmaid and page boy. Oh and the dog (If they have currently have one) as ring bearer at the very least!

Shauna Kay has a thought-provoking video up on her YouTube channel ‘The Vintage Read’, if you’ve some time free to watch or listen.

I find her pretty measured. She provides evidence and sane assessments.

I’ve been through this place today with a few fine combs and I can tell you the blinds are all shut and the servants have been told not to answer the doorbell just in case it’s Meghan at the door.

Balmoral castle

Someone filmed this at the polo - IIRC it was 2017 before they married- but she looks really guilty when challenged

Edited

Exactly. If she’d driven there with Harry and it was Harry’s car she wouldn’t have acted like a naughty child caught with their fingers in the sweety tin.

I’d love to know who filmed it - she went back three times so that person stayed in the spot focused on that car. One would expect even a professional royal watcher would have been more focused on the polo in case they got a shot of the heir to the throne falling off his horse. Not sure of the overall timescale but it’s rather odd to just stay watching the car. And I wonder why they didn’t shut the boot after the first time or at least the second. Actually it’s odd just leaving the boot open anyway unless it was going to be watched at all times and fully secure.

Just one of those odd episodes. But I bet William knows a thing or two about it.

As a MINIMUM I'd say for PP/RF to pay for:

  • 1st class flights to UK
  • Cecuridee
  • 5 star hotel for the duration of their stay
  • Clothing allowance for him and Megs
  • Front row seats in the chapel
  • Seats at the top table during the reception
  • Pics with the happy couple
  • Shout out during the speeches, "Thanks so much to PH for coming to celebrate with us"
  • Lots of fawning and apologies from the RF
  • ££ donation to Archiwell

Your peeps can talk to my peeps and I'll consider your offer.

So that's all her target audience is?

Does Meghan have any PR instincts at all? What a short sighted thing to do.

Seems like the successful Italy trip, William’s nice comments the other day and being denied the opportunity to turn down an invitation to Peter’s wedding have set her off. I wonder what this means for the Invictus events this summer.

Changedmyname123456 · Yesterday 18:18

I always wondered, ever since their mother died, which of these 2 would go off the rails and when. It only surprised me how long it took. When they found out / realised the shitty way that their mother was treated by their father there can never have been a happy family life. PH is a very damaged person. Obviously he is a very damaged person who is likely, given his genetics a wee bit daft, but his father has a case to answer when he is the one who agreed to marry a very young girl that he did not love and treated her appallingly. Meanwhile William has obviously much more reasons to stay onboard including the money that he can bleach from us.

Seems like this whole thread is about trashing Meghan (and harry). I’m not defending her but that must make life very difficult for her. Maybe just leave her alone and don’t give her the ‘oxygen of publicity’.

Is that the Scottish housing unit?

Yes, it’s Balmoral Castle. Absolutely gorgeous and set in the most wonderful acres of countryside. I very much doubt that anyone would have anything to fear, security-wise, once there.

The gift shop was an eye-opener, and I can see where Meghan copied the idea for the matches. They also sell honey, but fruit spreads were conspicuous by their absence.

The shop stocked items in the higher price range and, whilst I was browsing one display area, three customers spent £189, £286, and £354 respectively. There were some souvenir-trinket-type items to buy, but I came away empty-handed, even though I very much liked the bone china mugs commemorating the late Queen’s reign.

They were done very nicely, but I’m determined to go home in six weeks with the one suitcase I arrived with.

Also, regarding Peter Phillips’s wedding to Harriet Sperling - apparently the reception is being held at Gatcombe Park which is Princess Anne’s private home, so all the more reason not to have known privacy-invaders there.

Especially not privacy-invaders feeling under pressure to produce Netflix content, who have also been known to lie.

I’m an absolute sucker for buying cards, to add to my blank card collection for birthdays etc.

Your photos do show how generic and derivative the A Server ‘range’ is.

MrsFinkelstein · Yesterday 19:34

NormalAuntFanny · Yesterday 13:00

Well continuing my drive to bring news from the worst of the internet here's the Daily Express reporting meghan sending Asever parcels with a gift card to someone who is apparently one of her chief sugars.

Might be true although I haven't looked the guy up, maybe both all the customers get a card and he's just another liar on the internet.

archive.ph/RDIWc

He occasionally floats across my TikTok algorithm.

He absolutely is a full fledged SS leader - he regularly posts very hateful, derogatory, untrue comments about (mainly) William and Catherine. He tries to cover it with a veneer of "whaaat? I'm just asking/reposting something someone else said". But he is just a gutter gossip spreading the worst negativity about the Royals.

bluegreygreen · Yesterday 19:35

I have the Pam the Jam book @Jellybelly80 - it's great.

She's the person who ran the jam/preserve section of River Cottage, and a lot of well-known cooks/chefs give credit to her.

(I should say I bought it elsewhere, not Balmoral.)

It's a series of threads about the PR disasters of the Sussexes.

that must make life very difficult for her

I don't imagine she reads them.

I sometimes pop into the Highgrove shop when I am passing that way. Similar stock to Balmoral shop I would think. Plenty of (gorgeous) expensive stuff. Cashmere scarves, silk scarves by Burberry, some with pictures of Highgrove garden (I really love those ones, just my colours but alas about £300 + ), some more affordable stuff - MiL was very pleased with the gardening gloves I gave her at Christmas (not branded Highgrove which was good as she’s not a royal fan!). I sometimes buy a bottle of the Atlantic wine which is somewhere around £12, I had a glass with lunch when we visited the garden (won tickets in a local fete raffle) and I think a very nice wine so reasonably priced - compare to MM rosé at $30 plus you have to buy three at a time🙄.

There are cheaper items suitable for small gifts and souvenirs - I gave some tea towels to visitors from Australia, easy to pack and not very expensive.

Thing is the shop is in Tetbury which has loads of tourists, I think quite a few American. There’s a hotel hard on the Main Street that I hadn’t taken much notice of til I stumbled upon the trip advisor reviews, it looks lovely inside and a gorgeous garden at the back. There’s a clothes shop, I’ve forgotten the name, Catherine has worn their stuff in the past, I’ve never bought anything there as it’s too expensive but go in to look sometimes. One time I was there it was busy with Americans, all spending big.

In short they know their market, there’s a range with something for everyone. Meghan just can’t match that. Plus she’s got a ridiculously limited and overpriced range and most of it is unappealing eg pancake mix. She missed collaborations on her show for eg a cookery book, china, table linen. I don’t even know why she is bothering at this point.

If you were OW.

And had had your reputation (such as was) trashed by swallowing M&H's tales of woe about the BRF without question.

That were - some immediately, some with the passage of time - shown to be egregious lies.

So that your outraged Whatt!- face became a meme for stupidity

And the BRF weathered it and you had to do a reparation interview the day after QE2 died.

If you got MM to do a post-divorce interview, how would you - OW - play it? Straight? Sympathy again? Revenge?
