Speaking of bizarre. Dan wootton now discussing that PH pulled down his trousers and exposed his arse to David Walliams (of all people 🙄)PH proceeded to rub his arse in front of Walliams

Tell me that isn't true.

Starryfifty · 10/06/2026 13:34

Well, if the Irish star said it's true 😊

Starryfifty · 10/06/2026 13:41

Ralph Mankoo brought up the arse exposing incident with Dan wootton as an example of how unsuitable H is as a working royal and how much he was protected by the palace

My first thought was “she’s been reading these threads!” because there was a photo of Archie for once, AND he was in shorts and a t-shirt instead of long trousers and long-sleeved top.

It was certainly a very bizarre set of photos to post on SM.

It’s very tempting to play a version of Simon Says on these threads.
I’ll go first. Why doesn’t Meghan ever post a photo of the kids choosing a Father’s Day card/present?

noonames · 10/06/2026 13:49

Gosh I’m not sure “David Walliams thinks I’m fun” is particularly helpful 😬

It’s right up there with “Tyler Perry is our child’s godfather”.

BasiliskStare · 10/06/2026 13:52

I don't know David Walliams , but I'm not sure from various reports you'd want DW saying you're the weird creepy one in public.

ETA I have paraphrased - not quoting DW directly. To be clear.

Ooh good idea. Why are there never any cultural references - do they never read a book / go to the theatre / watch a film / go to a gig or classical concert / listen to a new album, do they engage with the arts at all?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 10/06/2026 13:54

What it shows is she has absolutely nothing left

I'm not at all sure that she had that much to start with, @Atlusvue, since most of it was based on SM silliness ("She's a humanitarian ..."), the jobs the palace were prepared to dole out to her, and expectations about Hollywood which were never going to be realised

For me it boils down, and always has, to simple inadequacy with the rest following from that, and while in fairness many of us wouldn't be able to hack the job either, at least we'd have the sense to steer well clear of it

Because then it wouldn't be about her.

Both very let's say, problematic men to be associated with

H has said he has never read a book. They both seem to have very little interest in the arts

HoldMyWine · 10/06/2026 14:33

Neither seem to have any hinterland.

Starryfifty · 10/06/2026 14:39

Another one. Why has Meg never publicly defended h? Especially after he was accused of misogyny and racism by dr Chandauka

The late Queen gave Meghan the Patronage of the National Theatre, which was a very thoughtful gesture. However, I think the Queen believed that M was a different kind of actress completely.

Anyone any clue when this case is likely to be scheduled? Also when the ANL judgement is due?

bluegreygreen · 10/06/2026 16:16

No idea re Sentebale.

Re ANL, all we know is that it concluded on 31st March, and Mr Justice Nicklin said in closing that he would be working on it full-time from the next legal term.
I have seen people suggest dates ranging from May to September.

Regarding Hazbeen's sekuridee I don't know if I've misunderstood the situation, but I thought that he does get protection if he visits the UK, BUT the problem according to him, is that it won't be by armed officers, which he seems to feel is absolutely essential. Apparently only Met police are allowed to carry weapons and he doesn't qualify for that, have I got that wrong?

Marmaladeaddict · 10/06/2026 16:46

IcedPurple · 10/06/2026 07:42

Yup. Totally bizarre. Random photos, none of them very good or interesting, thrown together for no apparent reason. No theme, no occasion. nothing.

Why?

I imagine she was desperate to get something out there following the wedding coverage of PP’s wedding and grabbed whatever came to hand. She’s a complete idiot.

SqueakyDinosaur · 10/06/2026 16:47

There's a rather lovely Joyce Grenfell song, Picture Postcard, which contains the line "But they don't marry actresses in the Blues [regiment], so that was that for me". PH was a Captain in the Blues...

I think that's part of the problem, however, he wants complete and limitless security in the UK, armed and whatever and wherever he decides to go without giving any notice to the Home Office/Met Police .
Therefore having people on standby, I'm guessing?

RPO's are armed at least some of the time.

The main 'problem' seems to be that Harry has to inform RAVEC 28 days in advance of any trip to Britain so that they can assess the situation and make any necessary arrangements. Which is of course perfectly fair and reasonable, unless of course you think you're so special that armed police need to be on standby to rush to 'protect' you at a moment's notice, even though you're a private citizen living on the other side of the world.

Harry is never going to get that because he simply isn't important enough, and all the whining in the world won't change that.

Yes, bit of a cross post, but he resents being required to give notice.

I think it was unkind of her Lord Chamberlain, her close family, her other staff, and indeed her Prime Minister, let the Queen walk into that mistake. Did anyone check with the Board of the National Theatre at the time? It was cringe-making when the clips of her in Beverly Hills 90120, ‘suitcase girl’ and the rest came out; and M’s lack of interest in actual theatre and the arts was always pretty obvious.

Surely to god someone in The Firm knew what a cable show was? Was capable of understanding M’s specific niche? She could have instead been made a sustainable fashion ambassador within her Commonwealth role instead, for example, dovetailing with SmartWorks & the ‘excel in your job interview’ vibe.

Which is hilarious because he's basically unemployed! And we know from his travels that he's not overly devoted to his parenting duties either. Absolutely no reason he couldn't give the required notice. But this isn't about logic. It's about spite and resentment because of his wounded ego.
