They are promoting her and they really shouldn't.

Blatant promotion. They are both utterly shameless.H is just as bad

Poor Archie is the new Spare.

Is this the point though ,that they are promoting the second born to make the point that the second born is just as important and not a spare . The problem being that they’ve gone too far and made it look like total favouritism .

Why are they releasing a photo on her birthday, anyway?

Because that's what the Real Royals do and Haz and Meg are so desperate to be still considered royalty, even though they are ostracized by most, if not all, of the royal family.

To Cosplay the Royals. Royal playbook 101.

Its interesting cause didn’t the birthday photo drop of royal children start becoming a thing to keep the media away from the royal kids everyday life. Its not needed here, but they are doing the tradition anyway.

I'm sure they love their daughter to bits, and it's her day, but it's a shame Archie is completely airbrushed out of the 'family' photo.
Their photos always look so amateur and unflattering too. It's all a bit tiresome really, but that's the birthdays and trips to Disneyland over so maybe there'll be a bit of respite from the 'look at us but don't look at us' nonsense for a while.

I’ve just been listening to Kinsey Schofield.
I came to these threads at about thread 9 so I’m not sure if this has been covered before but does anybody know why the Invictus games cost so much?
According to Kinsey & her guest the games have been promised £29 million by our Uk government -so us. It seems that Invictus has to raise an equivalent ammount via fundraising/donations.
They currently hve £4 million.
Deloitte who (I thought)jumped in the Boeing sized hole are giving their time/expertise but no actual cash.
I have seen speculation that H&Ms ‘expenses’ are paid from the expected £65 million cost -but it seems we the taxpayer will be picking the security costs up and after bragging about his head count of Muslims in Spare the security is expected to be high alert.
I heard Kinsey say that there were 540 competitors in the last games - some countries have their own Warrior games apparently which come in at vastly reduced costs . Invictus is £65 million for 540 competitors who they don’t even cover the travel lenses for!!
So where is the money going? How can it cost this much? It works out at £120,370 per person!! If I was a competitor I would prefer the cash frankly.

It seems the American & Australian ‘Warrior games’ cost so much less.
Will it even go ahead if it’s only got £4million in the bank?

Greg Rutherford posted on Instagram today about the Olympics. I had no idea how the finances worked but let's just say Invictus isn't alone in using athletes to make money for its executives.

Archie got an old baby photo and a phone pic of him and his sis on a walk. that could have been taken at anytime posted for his bday.

Lili got her own professional photoshoot!!! With adoring mother and father included!

Appalling parenting. No one can argue that those children are treated very differently and Lili is their favourite. It’s actually upsetting how upfront they are about it.

The Sussexes and their " dream girl" Lilibet. My first thought? How sad that we never have seen them like this with Archie.

Such odd photos, as ever.

The first one is so artificial. Who poses like that?

And the other is kind of sad. Barefoot in the garden, looking away and admiring a random flower. Just like 5 years olds love doing! Kind of melancholy and lonely looking. The 'faceless' thing (although truth be told we get to see a good part of her face) just makes her seem devoid of personality. What really is the point? We don't need to see birthday photos. And Lili may be the Golden Child, but she doesn't seem to own a pair of shoes.

She had these photos ready to drop. Hence the latest pathetic clapback.

Perhaps Archie with his Leica taking the photos 😜

AtIusvue · 04/06/2026 12:21

No professional photo shoot for Archie with mum n dad looking adoringly at him like Lili, no pic of him in the garden for a solo shot like Lili.

Someone pointed out on Reddit that Lilis pics are always posted first thing on her birthday, while Archie’s are always posted late on in the day. Seemingly, it’s done that way because it will get more press attention if earlier in the day. It’s almost like they want you to forget Archie exists.

Exactly, she is so predictable.

Ohpleeeease · 04/06/2026 12:34

I’m not sure they love their children differently, I hope not. But they certainly market them differently. It’s blindingly obvious that they consider one more visually appealing than the other.

IcedPurple · 04/06/2026 12:36

HoldMyWine · 04/06/2026 12:33

Exactly, she is so predictable.

Could be worse.

At least the focus was on the child, not on her parents twerking in the delivery room.

BigElderflower · 04/06/2026 12:36

Little boys generally don't go on to become successful influencers.

And you can't go all "fEmAlE eMpOwErMeNt" with them.

ShamedBySiri · 04/06/2026 12:38

Allegedly Charles Spencer took a day out from his honeymoon to visit Montecito (wonder if took a private jet). If he did I suspect it was to pour cold water in their plans for a documentary about Diana and let them know there would be no Spencer cooperation or access to archives etc.

I wonder if Meghan made some scones for tea….

Hate to say it, but they are giving the vibe that Lili is more presentable than Archie.

I read somewhere that he wears glasses, probably also wearing a patch for a lazy eye as his early photos showed him with a strong strabismus.

I don’t know what it is, but none of the photos they release seem to capture any closeness or emotion between any of the family, they are like promo images for a family health insurance with models who only met for the first time for the photo shoot.

.

StrawberryWasp · 04/06/2026 12:53

I've said it before but I'll say it again:

Not showing children's faces does not negate the potential damage of exposing your child on social media, or of using them to build your brand.

You are still using them and their image, their childhood, their personal experiences to promote yourself, and exposing them to the scrutiny of the world.
All without their consent and all out there forever.

It's bloody ridiculous to pretend the only potential damage is from being recognised in RL. It's not. It's from your life being mined and exposed for content.

It's such a faux nod to safeguarding which allows parents to continue to exploit their children.
It actually makes me angry.

Ramburg · 04/06/2026 12:58

Can’t actually believe that MM trousers are really creased in this photo shoot - looks like they were hung up crooked on a hanger ! Or maybe it’s deliberate. Also Lili choice of clothes always seems to be consistently rocking an ‘urchin’ vibe - I doubt that crumpled, grey/white nondescript, number that looks like it was just hoiked out of the laundry bin will be flying off the shelves.

AtIusvue · 04/06/2026 12:59

I’m not sure why they would not want Archie to be photographed. He always seems presentable.

Harry at the polo the other day, im 99% sure Archie was there as you can see a red head boy of similar size to Archie in one of the pics. As usual, wandering alone ….but he seemed perfectly smart.

StrawberryWasp · 04/06/2026 13:00

And here we are speculating on whether Lili is the preferred child. Or whether Archie's not as commodifiable, and it is Meghan and Harry's fault their children are being scrutinised like this.

They had the opportunity to remove them from public life and instead they chose to use them publicly to boost their own image.

How do Archie and Lili benefit from being on social media? They don't. They only lose.

Their mother benefits.

These photos are for Meghan and Harry's interests not the children's. And that makes me quite sick.

They are being exploitative shit parents putting themselves above their children.
