Usually there are rooms or areas set aside for non-Muslims to eat and drink in.

It shows that the tour was half-assed and not properly organised or briefed.

I saw that James Holt (former CEO of Archewell) was with them despite his much publicized departure in December - shows that "spending time with his family in London" was just more distortion!

I lived in the ME and the ‘done thing’ was to not drink or eat in front of people fasting. It’s not about making the people feel more thirsty or hungry, it’s respecting that it’s a special time of year. This is why they look so frigging ignorant in not respecting that.

It’s great to be able to digitally improve the hairline though. Whoever did that bit of photoshopping ought to get a special award of their own.

Harry stumbling around looking scruffy and angry while Meghan poses up a storm with the minefield of Middle Eastern politics as a backdrop . It's not a good look.

Yes whilst it’s a well deserved response one has to hope he doesn’t accept the invitation to go to Israel.

I doubt Harry could find Gaza, Israel, the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Jordan on a map without assistance.

Why isn’t this being reported in the mainstream media? This is headline news yet its tumbleweed.

So many breaches of etiquette - holding hands in public, drinking water ( requested a new cold bottle after each sip) and plonking her ass on a table. At least she wasn't throwing her hands around the men and rubbing their backs I suppose.

It’s shocking he is invited to discuss anything, never mind a politically charged situation. Harry is not an intellect, he is not articulate, he is terrible in front of a camera, and it’s clear he is uneducated in general and especially about this situation from any side, he is useless at cosplaying a humanitarian.

He brought nothing to this situation for the Palestinians, that’s for sure, no one is talking about the Palestinians , it’s all about Harry and Meghan. It was a cozy 5 star trip to Amman, they didn’t even visit a tent refugee camp and went no where near the Gaza border.

This trip has been a disaster for the WHO, the British foreign office, and the RF by default. Harry and Meghan won’t care, Meghan got her posed photos in the paper, so job done !

Makes me wonder how a day can close “with a renewed sense of urgency and resolve”. Is it perhaps the way the sun set? Kind of more urgent and resolute than usual?

I don’t think they realise that this situation has been ongoing for years, not just since the day they rocked up to ‘help’ in some type of humanitarian haze.

Somewhat separately, I wonder if Harry understands that Jordan doesn’t have a land border with Gaza. H&M would need to go to Israel or Egypt for that, the consequence of a shitshow of geopolitics that goes back to 1967, 1947-48, 1918-1919, take your pick.

I don't think this tour reflects anything on anyone except the WHO who invited them and Harry and Meghan, who made choices about how to behave and what to say.

How do the palace or the foreign office stop autonomous individuals who live in another country visiting a third country at the invitation of an autonomous organisation? Was the embassy supposed to throw them out when they arrived at the reception as the guest of a guest? If Charles was an absolute monarch he would still not be able to stop these tours. Ignoring them is probably the best way to go and causes the least amount of fuss.

Jordan ensured they didn't meet the King, the embassy didn't invite them to the reception, little signs like this are all those with power need to signal that Harry and Meghan are celebrities not political figures. They might not see it but I can guarantee that those who count do and will act accordingly.

Exactly, the Rafah crossing is the sole crossing from Gaza to a country that is not Israel, it’s where Angelina Jolie visited in January, she stayed in ARISH city, no 5 star luxury hotels there nor Ambassadors residences for a nice slap up buffet at sunset.
