What even is that item?

A cardboard sign to hang on your door? Like a Do Not Disturb sign, except there's no message on it?

Surely nobody would buy that. I'm at a loss as to why anyone would even make it in the first place. It has no function. Even if you wanted to hang decorative things from your doorhandles, would you pick a cardboard label with a brand name?

Could be a smelly thing !

Given Harry's 'role' as a mental health ambassador and Invictus's statement about the need to recognise invisible disorders, I'm surprised more criticism has not been levelled at the 'deranged' comment directed at Tom Bowers. Most mental health charities ask people to avoid using stigmatising language so its use in an official statement shows a worrying disregard for the harm this can cause.

BasiliskStare · 16/03/2026 10:22

@AtIusvue and @RicketySplit

Or maybe she is branching out into brass door furniture. 😂

Occam's Razor , it's a weird post with a gift tag to remind people of the brand.

Very true but yet again it's not do as I do but do as I say. Maybe they've let go of that now that Archewell is defunct.

BasiliskStare · 16/03/2026 11:26

@AtIusvue - I picked out this from your post ( thank you for that BTW ) "a woman whose fame was entirely based on her marriage." To a chap whose fame was entirely based on being the 2nd son. . Just because you are famous doesn't make you talented or indeed , increasingly , popular. But some crave fame and public approbation. That is for them to live with. If they get some criticism along the way , I reckon that comes with the territory.

Except Harry is supposed to be a keynote speaker at a workplace mental health summit during the Australian shindig. I really think it is inappropriate for his spokesperson to using this language.

Thedom · 16/03/2026 12:00

It’s interesting to read the background to the One Young World attendance, I remember all the criticism ( and humor) of her speech and the perma-grin as she gave that speech, and now to read how even the organisers felt they got screwed and the control she exerted over her appearance.. Was it a photo from that event which Misan Harriman claimed was going to be hung in the national portrait gallery ?

Indeeed, SaltyTea, and even more so since he was reportedly quick to claim "psychological damage" when Sophie Chandauka told him a few home truths

However as we've seen so often, minding what's said is for other people, and Harry considers himself entitled not only to spout whatever enters his addled mind but to have it regarded as the truth as well

noonames · 16/03/2026 12:22

Another one surprised that two self-styled mental health advocates would issue a statement using the word deranged.

It’s almost as though they don’t know the first thing about mental health advocacy and are more interested in clapping back at their enemies 😬

Isn’t it just?

how ridiculous also that Harry claims he had to “risk assassination” in order to attend. He’s got such an overinflated sense of his own importance.

canklesmctacotits · 16/03/2026 13:04

The more failures they rack up/less success they have, the more hypocritical they will appear and the more extreme the gap between their words and their actions. They can't accept that any of the things that Chandauka or any of their advisors or any independent audits or any of the critics have said might be true - they need money. So it'll be terminal circling the drain of relevance with increasing arrogance and anger at the world for doing this to them, and at everyone else for bringing them down.

IdaGlossop · 16/03/2026 13:42

I wonder if Meghan has already given up on A Sever. Last week, I saw a post (sorry, can't recall the source) in which her spokesperson said no decisions had been made about timescales or target countries for going global. She just isn't serious. Building a global brand involves having a plan. The is brand is just going to wither on the Californian vine.

Not2identifying · 14/03/2026 22:30

That latest excerpt was a good read. How the other half live, eh?

Harry didn't adjust his approach to the Japanese billionaire (e.g. show humility) because he is only used to other people bending to him. He's totally unsuited to charming potential donors because he has the emotional intelligence and charisma of a potato.

His reported behaviour in Japan shows how dim he is. Creating about speaking in front of groups of 250 and 2,000 when he's the charity's co founder at the same time as saying how great he is. What precisely does he think he's there to do?

AtIusvue · 16/03/2026 13:52

No she isn’t serious at all about As ever. I recommend listening to the Emma Grede podcast…which was 8 months ago.

The gist was….

  • It’s all so much hard work. So I’m giving up the podcast.
  • All the female founders gave her advice to not regret not being there for your kids growing up. Which is an obvious set up for why she won’t be fully committing to As ever.
  • That her priority is her family. Which for a business podcast, is an odd topic to harp on about.
  • When asked what’s her goal for the next ten years…she doesn’t know. Surely if you’re a girl boss female founder….you’d know?

It’s clear she thought that all she needed to do was be the face and phone it in. But with NF gone- there’s no staff….No money….No business expertise. It’s just a matter of time before it goes the way of everything else…..40x40, Meet me at the lake movie, Shopmy page, Parent Network, Archewell Foundation, WLM, the two podcasts, ARO…..never spoke of again! Like it never happened.

Edited

I listened to that podcast when it first came out. She has a very particular way of speaking when she's making things up as she goes along which involves adding a distinctive rhythm to her speech.

Yes, she does. It’s off. She also manages to not say anything for someone who likes the sound of her own voice.

Along with her eye contact ( she can be quite avoidant) it just makes watching her really uncomfortable.

There's no wonder the royal family were onto her pretty much straight away. The insistence of her voice, language that feels confected, and lack of eye contact must combine to create an odd experience if you have a conversation with her.

I always remember Bob Geldof was on the stage in the background and he had that skeptical, quizzical look and didn’t applaud her.

ShamedBySiri · 16/03/2026 15:13

I’d forgotten about that. Good old Bob.
But really, do these people live in a bubble? How could they have expected anything different. I’ve no idea why anyone would book her.

Did she also recount the washing up liquid advertisement story?

BigWillyLittleTodger · 16/03/2026 15:15

It’s the rapid eye blinking when she’s even slightly annoyed, you can read Meghan like a book.

It's one of those airfreshers you used to hang off the rear view mirror in cars.

She has uncanny valley vibes for me.
