Oh my God. That really says it all.

I think the first step is to remove the titles which they are shamelessly using to promote their “ brand”. They have both made it clear how much trauma the RF caused them ; accusations of racism etc and how dangerous the U.K. is so maybe it would be best for their mental health to drop any connection ?
I also agree with a pp who said that the Palace should if make it clear that H and M’s pretend Royal tours are absolutely nothing to do with the RF or U.K. Government.

I believe it's for the government to intervene if they believe what Harry and Meghan are doing affects the political influence of the country. When they visited Nigeria a statement was released to emphasise that they were there as private citizens. Releasing something everytime they visit another country is elevating their status. They are not important enough for the government to need to keep reminding people they don't represent the UK. In addition it's unnecessary, those who have power know exactly what status Harry and Meghan have these days, that's why they weren't invited to meet the King of Jordan. Slipping them into a reception is meaningless, meeting the King would have been.

Whilst I think it would benefit them to stop using the titles I don't think it is a good use of parliamentary time to do so. No one thinks Beatrice or Eugenie represent the UK I see no reason to worry that Harry is giving a mixed message. Harry is downgrading his title everytime he does something like this. Removing it is pointless.

The press try to create conflict by calling their trips "quasi royal" but it's pretty clear that the only people who think they have status is themselves. Everyone else treats them like the minor celebrities they are. If I were the palace or the government my biggest response would be to shrug and get on with what I was doing.

I'm guessing H and M are happy to be out of that area now. Harry- waaaah! This is why I need security. I would have been alerted. As usual world events take over the news !

Questions raised about what on earth was the purpose of the trip in US tabloids.

They paid for the trip themselves seemingly.

That will be why Meg only stretched to Zara items of clothing and was only a two day trip.

It was also obvious she was doing her own hair and makeup- unlike other trips

I'm not so sure, Iremember; try, and they'll just work even harder to position themselves as victims, pretending to understand the real exclusion some others suffer

Just shows you how naive they are, to go meddling into situations they don’t understand…for the sake of a bit of PR.

Can you imagine how they would feel, if they couldn’t fly home to their kids because of this situation.

Was reading that and thinking of his current court case - I wonder if what he'll accuse the DM of doing to find out the details of the rooms and flights?

They are very lucky with the timing to have got home before this kicked off. Dubai airport is now shut down and I doubt there are any flights in or out of Jordan. I’ve been watching Flight radar all morning and the skies are clear of commercial carriers all around.

£100,000 for a two day trip. They would have been better donating that money to the hospital. It defies belief.

I didn’t initially read it as a clap back as it was so repeatedly over explained that I wondered if they had been forced by BRF, WHO, JRF etc to clarify…..but then:

Wonder what that ‘visible international weight’ was - some sort of diplomatic ME crisis?

So that poor kid who’s just a 14 year old girl from Gaza with blast burn injuries, and likely speaks only Arabic, might find herself in Harry & Meghan’s next documentary? And the other younger girl with the prosthetic leg too?

This stinks of the rumoured ‘Diana Documentary’ which will in fact be the story of MM rising up to carry on her work!

He won’t sue ! One because they print exactly what he and Meghan tell them to and two because the law in the US works differently when I comes to news articles.

You're right about the different approach in the US, jeff, but I wouldn't want to assume they'll never print something which isn't to H&M's taste

As my old mum used to say, "Never's a long time", and if it gets to the point where they perceive there's more $$$$ to be made with another angle things could easily change
