Yes but I don’t tell others what they should or shouldn’t be posting/ talking about. 🤷‍♀️

hepsitemiz · 20/02/2026 10:27

This is a thread about H&M's PR disasters. It's the fourth in a series - previous iterations were clearer in the thread title, to be fair, but everyone who's been following this series of threads knows we are talking about H&M and how they are handling their PR.

An understandable mistake, though, @Shakeastick432

bluegreygreen · 20/02/2026 10:33

Perhaps, given the influx of new posters to the board with everything going on, it would be best to ask MNet to alter the title, @AtIusvue?

MrsLeonFarrell · 20/02/2026 10:57

CurlewKate · 20/02/2026 09:02

Possibly. Or, also possibly, they have been advised, as presumably the rest of the family have been, not to do anything that might prejudice further investigations.

That is definitely the case now. I do find it interesting though that in Spare Harry didn't write a word about Andrew and when Entitled claimed they had had a fist fight Harry was quick to deny the story. I assume this is because he was close to Beatrice and Eugenie but it is striking that he holds a grudge about sausages and not allegations of sex crimes.

It's not in the thread title, but on the other hand it is in the OP. Which is only one sentence and (I would have thought) fairly easy to read. Bit strange to post on a thread without even looking at the OP, but I guess it takes all sorts...

God no!

I love it….. It means they’re rattled!

OP posts:
AtIusvue · 20/02/2026 11:15

Also, I deliberately didn’t include H&M in the title….because it just attracts a certain type of poster. Those that know what the PR thread is, are regulars, who can share their thoughts without being jumped on.

So no, not changing the title.

@MrsLeonFarrellI fully expected H and M to say something about Andrew when they left the RF. I could just imagine how an entitled prick like him would have looked down on a mixed race American actress. Instead we heard about K and W not being huggers. Slagging off Andrew would have been an easy way to get the public onside as people despise him.

It was strange. Maybe Harry thought it better to leave the whole can of worms alone?

JSMill · 20/02/2026 13:07

Also why deny punching Andrew? I don’t like violence but I am happy to make an exception for someone like him. H would have gone up in people’s estimations!

bluegreygreen · 20/02/2026 13:48

Their silence about Andrew has always been strange, given that historically both William and Harry were said to 'detest' Andrew. The story about Harry punching him therefore wasn't particularly surprising, though the denial (to the extent of 'legal letters') was.

Things I have considered unusual/unexplained
-the denial of the punch, as above
-no complaints about Andrew in Spare (given the pettiness of what he does complain about).
-Meghan not knowing who Andrew was when she met him with the Queen (despite being friendly with Eugenie for years)
-Meghan thinking that Andrew was the Queen's secretary because he was holding her handbag. Andrew? From everything I've heard, he's an extremely arrogant and pompous man - can you imagine him acting as if he's a staff member?

I wouldn't expect them to say anything now - first because there's a live case, and secondly because it can't be helpful to them from a PR perspective.

Sorry but I find it utterly ludicrous and hilarious, in the light of yesterday’s events, that a thread titled “PR disasters” keeps popping up on the RF board, and you are all still wanging on about H and M!

Did you miss that photo of Andrew being driven back home after being interrogated by police last night?

😂😂😂

I find it ludicrous that you seek this thread out and come on it to tell people off 👏

Atlanti · 20/02/2026 14:08

H&M (along with the rest of the BRF) silence on AMW is As Ever self serving. That’s one thing H&M and BRF have in common - to preserve the monarchy as it butters their bread. It’s just a matter of time before it comes out that the institution / family were enablers and complicit - whether that was ‘just’ turning a blind eye or funding millions to silence the testimony of a raped, trafficked teenager. A whole security system was facilitating his sexual violation of women and girls - at tax payers expense. This rot goes to the top.

I will be very surprised if the BRF survives this - I predict manoeuvres of KC3 taking a hit in order to abdicate and attempt a brand refresh with W&K. None of this will help the Dook and Dutchess in the US flog UPFs and tat.

Also the punch denial I can also see as self serving - there are many photos of a drunk PH flailing punches outside clubs - he has tried to cultivate a more refined image from his violent past.

Did you not even bother reading the short opening post, @Shakeastick432? It’s only 12 little words.

I knew they would not be able to STFU - "sources" close to Harry have briefed People Magazine that Harry is the true victim in all of this - not the Epstein victims obviously 🙄🙄🙄

Same here. I went through a phase of thinking that M&H left to get away from the Andrew situation in 2020, and waited for them to say something. Tumbleweed.

What they did do was stay close to Eugenie.

I now wonder if they were watching to see how the dice landed. And the game has left them far behind, looking just a tad compromised.

@MrsLeonFarrell Harry does mention Andrew once in Spare, in a self-pitying passage about how he (H) doesn’t have enough secoority, and how even a family member who had been accused of being a sex offender had more secoority than him. H doesn’t name Andrew though, I don’t think (will check) which I imagine H thought was a jolly clever thing to do.

Poor little Harry, I don't know how he keeps going with such unfairness.

bluegreygreen · 20/02/2026 17:27

I don't have Spare, but I looked it up once before when it was being discussed on a thread:

From an interview in iNews (archive link below - I have also linked Newsweek) - italics are quotes from Spare:

'When Meghan asked if the security would ever be removed, he writes that he “never” imagined they would “after what happened to my mother”, adding: “Also, not in the wake of my Uncle Andrew. Despite being embroiled in a shameful scandal, accused of sexually assaulting a young girl, no one had even suggested removing his security.”'

https://archive.is/zGA1Q

Edit to add: I had understood Andrew's security to be on the basis of him being a working royal, so removed for events once his status as working royal was removed.

TheAutumnCrow · 20/02/2026 18:00

That differs from the wording in this except in the Huff Post, @bluegreygreen, which is interesting. Anyone still got a copy of the book?

QUOTE
“Meg asked me one night: You don’t think they’d ever pull our security, do you?” Harry wrote.
“Never,” Harry said he replied. “Not in this climate of hate. And not after what happened to my mother.”
He added: “Also, not in the wake of my Uncle Andrew. He was embroiled in a shameful scandal, accused of the sexual assault of a young woman, and no one had so much as suggested that he lose his security. Whatever grievances people had against us, sex crimes weren’t on the list.”

Do you think the American presidency will survive this?

Because at the moment there doesn't seem to be much difference between elected heads of state and constitutional monarchies right now- if anything the monarchies seem to be more accountable?

I absolutely hope not. Just listened to the reporter from The NY Times on Newscast and he made an interesting point that the arrest of AMW was an opportunity to shine a light / some self reflection amongst Americans as to why the US are unable to bring anyone to justice. Also that arguably Trump won his election on a key plank by whipping up his MAGA base to demand release of the Epstein files - which he has effectively reneged on. But Trump will likely now start a war with Iran to distract.
