About Meghan?

Yes.

Two words .. African parks .

Ah ok ! This is what happens isn't it ? Meghan and Harry often draw so much negative attention to places and people then the Sussex Squad swoop in and reduce it all to a total mess.

Two words involving royal silence, jeff Confused

Strange how Harry no longer has anything to say on the subject, but then they had the temerity to cast an unflattering light on him, so it seems that was that

Without wishing to be controversial or compare and belittle anyone’s suffering but I can’t help but notice the lack of interest or concern about the women and girls ( and men ) who were raped and abused and tortured by those working for African parks , nobody mentions it anymore, nobody calling for action and statements from Harry !
apparently forgotten 🤷‍♀️
why? Or are poc victims not worthy of the same respect.

CurlewKate · 18/02/2026 17:04

Is there a connection I’ve missed between the Grenfell Community Kitchen and Africa Parks?

I'd certainly hope they're considered worthy of respect, jeff, but not for the first time Harry's main concern appears to be for himself, with others only coming into it when they're of use to him

True ! , some of us here used to bring it up often but were usually ignored or were waved aside!
now it’s forgotten about and as far as I can find out nothing has been done about it at all ! 😡

So, we are nearly a year into As ever.

For celeb brand to work, you need to have a high level of engagement- which Meg was always half hearted at....but it’s fell off a cliff since the summer.

She’s never allowed comments etc, but she was putting out social media style videos to try and get some interest.

Just think of how she launched it (when the papers ran she was launching a new brand called As ever) - she talked directly to the camera to tell us all about it.

The last social media style video for As ever, was her 4th July post where she's was making yet another board with jams, breads and fruits.

All other videos now are over produced traditional adverts for As ever (though still amateurish) I don’t get it? She’s a direct to costumer, digital first brand…you have to keep the superfans engaged and appeal to new customers. But she edging back from the little she put out.

Now everything that’s put out feels it was recorded/made months ago. She’s not linking to anything cultural and of the moment, she’s not really on social media. The few snippets of ‘real’ Meg…are on her own insta page. As ever gets nothing. She’s checked out.

Direct to consumer brands are over anyway, the only way to survive now, is to get your products in stores and to put the product on other platforms. She’s had two pop up shops….that’s it. She hasn’t got a deal to put them in any stores in the US or an online retailer.

Unless she starts properly engaging with the business and getting products into stores….I'm not sure how long As ever will last.

Not forgotten @jeffgoldblum - remembered regularly by some of us, especially when the topic of Harry's charities comes up.

My main point is usually that he bears more responsibility when it comes to African Parks than he does with something like Sentebale, given he is a director rather than just patron.

I’m glad @bluegreygreen, although if I’m being honest you and certain other posters weren’t who I was referring to when I said forgotten !

bluegreygreen · 18/02/2026 18:38

I realised that afterwards @jeffgoldblum, though too late to edit again.

The African Parks story does seem to have been forgotten generally in the media, yes.

I don't think it occurred to her that WLM wouldn't get renewed so I think she filmed some of the stuff we're seeing now at the same time as the previous advert videos in "her home" that was actually a rental property.

When she did the Harry chocolate video it looked like the WLM rental house (same kitchen units and tiles) but with some "Harry" memorabilia strewn around like the Ukrainian medals.

I think the business model was for her ‘products’ - was the standard ‘merchandising’ model. Basically that you can sell anything (white label) to fans of something - so Bridgerton, Kylie, Harry Potter etc.

The issue is MM isn’t something or anything.

What content, substance, image, brand, identity would anyone be connecting with? If she thought she could pitch herself as homemaker in one shite lightweight series WLM then her grandiosity and delusion knows no bounds.

How’s her Dad by the way? How much do we think she paid him off or threatened him for the silence?

Number of followers is decreasing . Less than 1 million which is pathetic given her fame/ infamy .
The range is uninspiring.,

Celebrity blind on X hinting that the ‘alliterate’ one is being sued by a vendor for unpaid bills. A few replies being that American Express are owed $2.3m and are suing. Hmmm

How could she owe Amex money? Did she do something with them?

Presumably it means she has paid for stuff using an Amex card and has not paid the bill allegedly 🤷‍♀️

Thedom · 19/02/2026 09:10

I am always reluctant to believe these blind gossips, but since the blind gossip about the stealing of clothes, (which most people thought was made up) was eventually confirmed by Meghan, nothing would surprise me !

That sofa for Nott Cottage must have been very expensive!

That's fine as a business model, but you need to tie it all into the series at the time, and you need a better range of products! Cookery book needs to come out same time as the series, last Mary Berry series you can link to the recipe there and then as you watch. I seem to remember Nigella having some cookware at some point, I guess that's fizzled out now, but it's all about riding the wave and probably made good sales for a time. Her efforts have been so half arsed and the main issue is it's a completely untempting range.

Jars of her pasta sauce✅Actual shortbread (as oppose to packet mix)✅Packs of (safe!) bath salts ✅Dried (or fake) flower arrangements or maybe endorsed specific arrangements through inter flora ✅Instead she offers runny spread, packet mixes, candles and teabags. And hugely overpriced wine.

Her range is utterly boring and uninspiring and hasn't been added to so of course no one is interested. (Aside of being massively overpriced and all the other issues).

Just to add: Nigella Lawson's Living Kitchen: A previous range of porcelain kitchenware, including cake stands, colanders, and storage jars, which is now generally only available on secondary markets like Etsy or eBay.

Agree, I wouldn’t repeat normally, but they were spot on before. I am assuming she hasn’t paid her bill. Fergie mk2.

MrsFinkelstein · 19/02/2026 09:55

I had a couple of pieces of Nigella's range - the measuring jar and cups - all in a lovely delicate duck egg blue (very mid 2000s).

Loved them - great quality and very usable.

I think this is why the palace haven't been making statements despite demand. They knew there was a case being built.

Didn't Nigella also sell those measuring spoons which were narrow enough to fit into spice jars?

Hard to find anything like that at the time, and a genuinely useful idea.
