Ok. Hmm... trying to respond to "not sure where people are getting they went to the Queen and she refused to help" by posting links, but apparently that's not allowed. Even without my opinion. So just google "queen refused help mm mh", there are loads of links. She said it in the OW interview.

MN Please don't delete me again - I've never been deleted before and you're making me look like I'm posting horribly offensive abuse, and I'm really not - I'm just answering a question with an entirely relevant answer!

AlwaysRightISwear · 11/02/2026 00:37

Maybe they asked the Q to pay for it.

You do know there's a load of shite on Google? 😬 oh and yeah Meghan told several lies in the OW INTERVIEW.

Seriously? It was in her interview. The first posts that come up are BBC, Guardian, Cosmopolitan, People, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Town & County Magazine - and that's just the first posts on the first page. All made up?!

K 👍🤡

As far as I was aware she went to the staff hr and requested help not the queen anyway and Harry didn’t bother mentioning it to his family as he was “ashamed “ 🤷‍♀️ so not sure how the late queen is to blame here!
and mn often delete unverified google links!
It is in the guidelines that apparently no one reads.

No disrespect but I’m not sure what the relevance is to this thread ?
unless you are using the Oprah interview as an example of bad pr ? In which case I can get on board!
complete fantasy, constant lies and misdirection that was obvious to many including the media .. very bad pr for Harry and Meghan both.

It was first posted in direct response to GoldThumb's post: "Also, not sure where people are getting they went to the Queen and she refused to help". At that point it was relevant! It was an explanation of where people were getting it from - they were getting it directly from Meghan. Although maybe not the Queen herself, sounds more like she said the 'institution' and I am far too tired and uninterested to do more than google headlines. But the institution tends to mean the regent, otherwise when H was told no by the men in suits, he could have just called granny. Or maybe he didn't think it worth the bother. But the point being, they gave two different accounts - one that H was too ashamed to ask, and another that he did ask but was refused, and so didn't take it further. Either way, it doesn't make H sound great.

That's it. My whole point, minus the links. Goodnight!

Yet here we are now discussing a topic totally unconnected to what was previously discussed, a light hearted thread now derailed by discussion of “ suicide” which frankly is triggering to many people who are only interested in discussing clothing.

4 well known long term posters on this topic objected to the AI link depicting violence against MM - perfectly reasonable - seems MNHQ agree and have deleted it. Nothing light hearted about VAWG.

Well no , she never said she went to the queen! , you think it sounded like the institution? No , most of us were here discussing this as it happened and we know exactly what was said before Oprah tried to scrub it from the internet.
she went to staff hr to ask for help, they obviously couldn’t help because she wasn’t staff she was part of the royal family, apparently her own husband who in partnership with his brother William and sil Catherine as part of heads together were already involved with mental health , was too embarrassed to mention it to his family and also couldn’t be bothered to give Meghan his own therapist’s number despite him having it on speed dial ( according to his own interviews ) , so how exactly is that the fault of anyone but Harry ?

And ? Those same posters didn’t believe or link it to Meghan feeling suicidal!
I have no idea what was in the picture and I don’t care , I didn’t look because I’m not interested but I don’t want to discuss “ suicide” on a thread I thought was light hearted.

Andylion · 11/02/2026 01:34

Baital · 10/02/2026 18:23

True. She went to HR, but had a private health care team that could have brought in mental health specialists. She was suicidal but her husband, who then took her to a public engagement, had his own therapist on speed dial? And her pregnancy was known, and provided a reason for pulling out at short notice?

It doesn't add up.

Unlike the info we have about PoW and cancer - which she was forced to put out, unlike the Oprah interview.

The whole calling HR thing when she was having a mental health crisis was bizarre. The RF is a job, so you call HR. Just because she said it on Oprah doesn’t mean it isn’t gibberish.

Harry should have called his therapist or her doctor. This is yet another other case when Harry is at fault.

I can't imagine where you're getting the impression I'm trying to absolve Harry? Nobody said it was anyone else's fault but Harry. Either he didn't ask for help because he was ashamed, or he did ask for help but once he was told no by 'the institution', he just dropped it. Rather than contact his own medical team, her medical team, his mental health contacts from the mental health organisations he was apparently working closely with, his friends, 999, the general public etc. Or - if the institution was not supposed to mean the Queen herself - taking it to the Queen herself as she was the only person that mattered in said institution, so it's ridiculous to suppose that if a mere member of her staff told him he could not access medical care for his wife that he would have no further recourse. I think it's safe to say one would expect most husbands to do rather more than he - by his own admission - did. I don't personally believe they were ever told they couldn't access mental health support by the 'institution', the Queen, or anyone else. Partly because they've given entirely contradictory accounts themselves of what happened, but mostly because it doesn't make the slightest bit of sense.

VAWG is not light hearted either, any more than suicide is - as it often has the same catastrophic end - so you will be pleased then that that depiction of violence against MM was objected to by 4 well known long term posters and ultimately removed by MNHQ - so maybe focus your efforts on that poster who posted the offensive link that raised the issue and derailed from your light hearted expectations. I feel really concerned that anybody’s expression of ideation isn’t respected and taken at face value - makes me worry for those at fragile and vulnerable moments in their lives that others would mock and dismiss them.

garlicandsapphires · 10/02/2026 15:29

I mean, you kind of ARE critiquing her body…? As are others on this thread.
If you enjoy doing that then go ahead I guess, freedom of speech and all.
The only point I’m trying to make is that I wish we could stick to critiquing behaviour, and not body.
Pointing out if a dress has been altered or hemmed is just a bit unnecessary.

Fashion is a multi billion dollar industry that Megan actively participates in. You can't just dismiss us criticising a shoddily made, ill-fitting and unflattering dress as "unnecessary".

bluedancingtwiglet · 10/02/2026 20:45

Omg the things that were said on here - everything from a BBL to William beating her black and blue to laziness to having been divorced. It was truly shocking that people could be like that. They were like a mass of flies attracted to shit. Oh yes but it was " complicated" . Awful!

So grateful I didn't know there was a royal board then. The glee that MM & SS had in Pow cancer diagnosis is truly sickening. So much for mm banging on about feminism and sisterhood! She is a deeply jealous woman.

AlwaysRightISwear · 11/02/2026 07:37

The trouble with relying on something said in that Oprah interview is that other things were said which were definitively false, eg the wedding before the wedding, so most people will treat other unproven allegations with some scepticism.

TheAutumnCrow · 11/02/2026 07:53

Btw the transcript of the Oprah interview still exists online, and it has been archived too. So that’s not going anywhere.

See, I very much doubt that Meghan was gleeful about Kate's cancer because it's made her infinitely harder to attack.

I don't follow the SS so I don't know how they reacted.
