So Meghan lost her fathers number but is ringing round hospitals and will send a handwritten note, as per Sussex sources speaking through the Sun, the Telegraph and the Times.

I mean I have no idea, how it works with PR for very famous people, but surely there are scenarios they prep for?

Her dad is in his 80s, severely obese and has suffered ill health for years. You would think, there would be protocol in what to do should the worst happen.

That would include having up to date contact info. This isn’t something Meg would need to have/get involved with if she’s estranged, but surely ‘The Office of the DDOS’ would. Then engage in their set plan- whether that’s a public statement that this is a private affair or that contact has been made through the proper channels.

Whatever this is, it isn’t professional-it’s complete chaos.

You think that what Thomas has done is on a par with what H and M did to the Royal Family while continuing to advertise their part of it with their titles? 🥸

I simply changed criticism for support! , perhaps so you would see that your opinion is yours alone and what those posters you feel free to judge think when they read your comments.

I’m not posting support - although actually I see no issue with her not wanting to send a letter to her father given that a journalist is his carer 🙄.

For clarity:
Thomas Markle is currently in hospital (on a ward, previously in ICU).
His son is his carer.
The journalist is a friend, not his carer.
His daughter has sent a letter, via the US embassy, and ensured the delivery was recorded on video.

I’m calling out the blatant hypocrisy. I’m also calling out the behaviour of people which I find appalling.

If I have concerns about the vitriolic behaviour of other human beings I absolutely MUST BE a supporter.

And? He constantly sells stories about her? Her family make money from attacking her. And she should go running? Why??!

Please tell me you go onto the board with posters are NC and call them awful people. If you don’t, why?

Selling stories about your child to the press when you know she is already attacked constantly. Yes I think that is pretty fucking bad actually.

harry and Meghan have done the very same thing for longer, more publicly and for much more money! Seriously!

I posted to correct some inaccuracies, including his daughter 'not wanting to send a letter'.

I did not say she should go running. I have already said on this thread that I thought he and she would do better to deal with the situation privately, and that I hoped they could find a way forward.

I have called neither other posters nor the Duchess of Sussex 'awful'. That does not make me blind to unpleasant behaviour.

Thomas and Meghan Markle are both cut from the same cloth, undignified users and nasty vulgar people. Meghan just has more power now.

I have sympathy for him because of his ill health, but other than that, they both deserve whatever criticism they get. Meghan gets more of it because she plays with the media on a daily basis.

I agree @Thedom, it’s an absolute shit show, all of their own making.

Not entirely sure. I’ve not seen that on the celeb threads, might be different on the influencer threads though. Think those ones get bad.

It’s just no holds barred, with the only moderation being no hateful/illegal rhetoric allowed.

But at least there’s no buns fights between posters. Everyone is very nice and supportive of each other….theres just no mercy for who ever the thread is about.

I think directly contacting people is against Tattle T&Cs @jeffgoldblum so if it does happens it's not supposed to.

I joined it years ago (at the time the Jack Monroe threads were being deleted here, as I wanted to understand what was going on) and have recently followed the H&M threads.

The H&M threads have personal (physical) criticism and all the conspiracy theories that are thankfully mostly avoided here. What they do have are friendly posters, as @AtIusvuesays, and a great Wiki resource of media that includes links to all the Sussexes' previous outputs.

I think both Thomas and Meghan wish this to be played out in the media for the same reason. The biggest love of their lives is money.

I will repeat the following for those who defend Meghan to the hilt.
I would have nothing to do with Thomas Markle if I was Meghan. Equally if I were the RF I would have nothing to do with the Sussexes.

The Markles and the Sussexes are as bad as each other. How Sussex supporters cannot see that, is beyond me.

The ongoing briefing and counter-briefing by both father and daughter is typical Markle attention seeking for the nearest cameras and microphones to broadcast everything.

It makes it hard for M to sell her "tradwife" brand centered on "family" and "joy" with this fiasco soaking up media time and attention.

Meghan must be gutted that her Embassy stunt doesn’t appear to be gaining much traction in the media, it’s a bit like the big reveal of the so called royal racists, all a bit of a damp squib.

And as an aside what a waste of the Embassy’s time and money.

Am I right in saying that someone actually flew over from the US to deliver the letter ?
