She's a beautiful woman but i can't understand why she just doesn't drop the titles and be herself. And it's odd how she talks about how much 'H' loves her but not how much she loves him.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, Meets Her Moment

After years of being subsumed by other people’s narratives, she's ready to author her own next chapter

Other than the weird stuff about her mum I can only assume that her description of Harry as 'full of playfulness and wonder' and 'no one can love me like him', given that they have two kids, is short hand for saying 'he's a big baby and can have fun but isn't remotely intelligent, useful or interesting but I've kept him because he adores me in a way others won't.'

Indianrollerbird · 20/11/2025 11:48

That cover is really bad. They have given her a big head and elongated her neck. Like ET! Shame as the outfit she’s wearing looks really nice.

FenellaFeldman · 20/11/2025 11:49

EsmaCannonball · 20/11/2025 11:35

It's a typo. It was meant to be 'He loves me so baldly.'

Naughty! 😂

That’s what I thought, I read it like she said he’s a bit thick.

it is an odd thing to say and him loving her the most , I mean in reality no one loves me more than my husband and daughter, I’d not call one out over the other. But then my husband is his own person, and not totally besotted or dependent on me. And we’d both find it a bit ick if I said that, as I would if he said it about me.

part of me wonders if in her head she was boasting and fails to realise what a twat everyone thinks Harry is.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 20/11/2025 12:07

The cover is dreadful, the interview just confirms what a conceited and grandiose person she is.

“We’re in a grand brownstone on the Upper East Side that belongs to one of Meghan’s friends. When I enter, the house manager announces, “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex,” even though we appear to be the only other two people in the house.” 😅Unbelievable. What an ego.

Edited

Stop it, is that actually in the article?? 😂

I’ve seen the photos but not read the interview. Her poses, especially the ones where she’s sitting, legs spread - I think she’s trying to go for the Girl Boss look

“ she is authentically trying to be herself.”

How can you be yourself without being authentic?

In the same way as people who claim they are “mad” (as in outrageous, risqué etc) are usually anything but, the same applies to those who bang on endlessly about their authenticity. It would genuinely not occur to most normal people that this is a quality that needs emphasising.

IcedPurple · 20/11/2025 12:24

When Meghan became engaged to Prince Harry in 2017, it triggered a tectonic shift in the culture.

What? Really?

I must have missed this cultural earthquake in 2017. Just me?

OtherS · 20/11/2025 12:26

I wouldn't personally describe her as a beautiful woman, she can take a good picture from some angles but I think she's pretty average. But rich, which helps. Each to their own, though. This isn't a particularly good angle as it highlights how close her eyes are, and she has an odd, pained expression. With her legs crossed like that, it looks like she's bursting for the loo. That's probably not what she was going for.

I think at this point she's either intentionally trolling the public (and making a lot of money from it), or she has really quite severe issues that means she really can't understand where she's going wrong. No sane person would have themselves announced when walking into their own private sitting room for a prearranged meeting with one visitor - especially if that visitor was a journalist and was most likely going to tell everybody. She's presumably been watching period dramas and thought it looked classy. But even without the bizarre hypocrisy of the "I despise the whole English aristocracy nonsense, I'm just a normal girl" routine, she looks like a complete idiot. And if she can't understand that, there must be surely something seriously wrong with her. Even Harry wouldn't behave like that. Not sure even Andrew would.

FenellaFeldman · 20/11/2025 12:29

Good points, @OtherS . However, what's clear is that she doesn't despise it at all. She absolutely loves it. She loves being royal; the titles, the wealth, the status and the privilege. I always think that the Sussexes and their followers are the biggest royalists of all, because they support the notion of royalty without limits and without officially working. Just royal for being royal.

BemusedAmerican · 20/11/2025 12:32

Once again the dish soap story!

BTW, Colombo looked much better in a trench coat.

HugHog · 20/11/2025 12:33

She's copying Diana again. Picture from LocksmithFar9486 on Reddit.

Maybe she has seen the Michael McIntyre sketch where he teases William pretending that the Royal family have trumpeters every time they enter a room?

Why does she insist on being known by the style of a divorced Duchess ?

Practicing for the future?

But she isn't making a lot of money from it. Also, I think she takes herself and her image far too seriously to 'troll the public'.

I thinki it's more likely, as you suggest, that she's just entirely lacking in self awareness and has no idea of how she comes across. Jammering on about that same old Procter & Gamble story which wasn't terribly interesting the first time round, way back in the mists of time. And insisting on having herself 'announced' as a Duchess is pure cringe! She's in New York. Not Downton Abbey!

chunkyBoo · 20/11/2025 12:37

I can’t stop laughing at the whole announced entrance thing - what a conceited, uncouth, narcissistic twat that woman really is - she’s fucking hilarious!! Please PLEASE someone on South Park or Spitting Image please take the piss!!
I wonder how many of those photographs were copies of Diana poses?!

FenellaFeldman · 20/11/2025 12:38

Catpiece · 20/11/2025 12:38

No one loves her as much as she loves herself. If they were that happy she wouldn’t keep banging on about it. People don’t. They just settle into their lives together. Those that keep saying how great it all is feel the need to convince others and themselves.

oh god, delete this quick before you give her any ideas 🤣🤣🤣

MrsLeonFarrell · 20/11/2025 12:39

If she would drop the title then none of this would draw the comment it does. Selling spread, pretending to make crackers, insisting she is authentic, exaggerating every thing she does. It's all standard celebrity Instagram hyperbole. It only looks bad if you compare The Duchess of Sussex basting a turkey to the Princess of Wales at the Royal Variety Performance.

Similarly Prince Harry talking to estate agents about his resilience looks weird next to the Prince of Wales' work with Homewards, a project with a plan and a timescale and measurable outcomes.

Ditch the titles and the noise won't go away but it will lessen over the years because there won't be the traction.

I think it's very odd to emphasise how much her husband loves her. Wouldn't we just take that to be a given? She could say they're a happy family and it's all going well, but how much he loves her?

FreebieWallopFridge · 20/11/2025 12:43

God, she’s so up her own arse. It’s all rather tiresome.

I assume she must be making something though - certainly a lot by my standards, though maybe not as much as she would like! But if people are clicking on her, she gets paid for that in fees, ads etc - plus she's asked to do more interviews, pictures etc. If she just behaved like a normal person nobody would be interested in her at all, and nobody would click, nobody would want her for interviews or photos and she'd make even less money. She's tried many, many things since going to America and has shown herself to be entirely devoid of talent. All she has is making a tit of herself. And she has to keep upping the ante to keep people clicking.
