She's a beautiful woman but i can't understand why she just doesn't drop the titles and be herself. And it's odd how she talks about how much 'H' loves her but not how much she loves him.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, Meets Her Moment

After years of being subsumed by other people’s narratives, she's ready to author her own next chapter

Why does she insist on being known by the style of a divorced Duchess ?

Because she doesn't know any better.

BillyBites · 25/11/2025 19:06

"she kept the dress with the full knowledge of the stylists."

Knowledge? Or permission?

Dollymylove · 25/11/2025 15:56

Who in the name of God almighty needs 16 bathrooms ?

No family of four does, that's for sure. I assume: 9 x en suites for main house bedrooms, 2 x for resident staff accommodation, 2 x ground floor of main house, 1 x pool house, 2 x guest accommodation.

9 isn't really enough, is it? What about non-resident domestic staff? What about the gardeners? What about children's bathroom? A bathroom or two for the home cinema? Where do trans men and trans women go - in special bathrooms or can they choose the bathroom that best aligns with the sex in which they identify?

H is said to have written to the new Home Secretary asking for the RAVEC decision to be reviewed because of what he deems to be a missing risk assessment that everyone else gets. Bespoke isn't good enough for a Prince of the Realm. In a battle of wits between Shabana Mahmood and H, my money's on Shabana. She must have replied by now yet there has been no mention in the Daily Mail....

ThePoshUns · 25/11/2025 19:37

I can’t see Shabana having any time for petulant Prince Harry.

Why does Harry warrant a RAVEC assessment at all? He’s not a working royal so is it just because he’s the King’s son? What are the actual (as opposed to imagined) risks to him as a member of the public visiting from overseas who happens to be related to the King but is only allowed to see him for less than an hour per visit?

I took this with a pinch of salt, I really thought it was made up nonsense, shocked to realise it is true.

Sounds a bit like ‘the queen approved of them using her nickname for their daughter’ when she never agreed at all. Collaborating with the Ballenciaga designer, best friends with Jane Goodall, the list goes on and on and on…….

I don’t think I know of anyone in the public eye who embellish/ lie as much as they do.

The problem is that this sort of story crops up at all. The spokesperson says the stylist or their respective team members knew what she was keeping and it was all done per her contract: that could mean anything from a conversation was had with whoever was in charge with specific items discussed and agreed on, to Meghan telling an intern on her way out the door that her contract allowed her to keep two dresses so she’s taking this one and that one, quite possibly in a bullying ‘don’t even think of questioning me, you can call me Ma’am’ way (we all know I’m going to be your boss one day etc).

The thing is this isn’t the first time this has been said about Meghan Markle. Undoubtedly this sort of stuff goes on all the time - but you only ever hear about it with MM.

She should really have paid better attention to who she stepped on on her way up, because she’s going to need all those people on her way back down. She’s every salutary tale ever.

In my opinion this is all about having the same as William . Yes he is the King’s son but Edward and Anne didn’t have 24/7 security whilst QE2 was alive . He simply seems unable to grasp that he is not as important.

Batoutofhellish · 25/11/2025 20:08

I think M has said to him ‘H, I’m never going to allow the children to go to the UK with or without me unless we have full Palace funded security at all times’. She knows full well this won’t happen but he’s stupid enough to keep trying to get it so that she will come to the UK with him and the kids to see his family. What he fails to appreciate is that his family have no interest in seeing him and never will.

Well I do hope the Home Secretary has filed this in the (laughing - thanks @jeffgoldblum ) bin. If he's any sense he won't have written. He had his ( unwarranted and wasteful in my view ) days in court and he didn't get his way. He got more than a lot of people thought he deserved but never enough for him. Spraggish. He'd be better off letting it be known he's paid the court costs. In a sliding doors way - he could have had the royalty and the security ( for when he was royalling ) and financial security for the rest of his life. He chose not to. I think he would be better off concentrating on eg African Parks ( of which he is a director so has some responsibility ) and actually showing up and doing some good given service is his thing. But that seems to have gone by the wayside. He just needs to realise of how little importance he is to the WRF , in my opinion.

Personally I think he was high watching sesame street and it was actually Oscar the grouch talking to him from the bin , and he just saw the bin!! 😉🤣

The official clap-back from People re the stolen dresses

https://people.com/meghan-markle-spokesperson-reacts-claims-she-took-dress-from-photo-shoot-11856683

A spokesperson for the Duchess of Sussex tells PEOPLE, "The insinuation that any items were taken without the full knowledge and agreement of the on-set stylists or their respective teams is not only categorically false, but also highly defamatory. Any items kept were done so in total transparency and in accordance with contractual arrangements."

and so confirms…..she didn’t pay for them 😂

Least we know it’s getting to them. But….they still won’t sue. Says it all.

She’s also kept the items for ‘securataaaaay’ reasons 😂

‘According to a source familiar with industry practices, it’s standard for talent to retain select items from photo shoots — sometimes for security reasons, including to prevent potential resale or unauthorized auction. Clothing worn by members of the royal family and other public figures has been targeted for resale in the past, making the practice both common and precautionary.’

Meghan Markle's Spokesperson Reacts to Claims She Took $1,700 Dress from Photo Shoot (Exclusive)

After Meghan Markle appeared in a dress she had previously worn in 2022 photo shoot, reports claimed that she took the outfit from the set without permission. Here's what her spokesperson said on the claims.

MrsLeonFarrell · 25/11/2025 21:22

Why on earth would reselling a frock she once wore be a security risk?

Maybe if someone else wore it Harry wouldn't know the difference?

AtIusvue · 25/11/2025 21:23

I posted a link to a cosmo article if anyone is wondering

NewAgeNewMe · 25/11/2025 21:31

Well Mary of Teck liked to be ‘gifted’ things she liked the look of, so Meghan is taking a leaf out of her book 🤣

ThePoshUns · 25/11/2025 21:34

The Harkles really are the gift that keeps on giving

gishgalloping · 25/11/2025 21:35

The late Queen sometimes gave away unwanted clothing to her dressers to either wear themseves or sell, but Meghan can't leave behind a dress from a photoshoot for "security reasons"? Ridiculous. They're only going to make this story even bigger with that explanation. Harry and Meghan are both so bad at PR.

AtIusvue · 25/11/2025 21:41

Agree. The story is becoming bigger.

The cosmo article was about the controversy over the dress. It didn’t add any info but interesting that they are reporting on the scandal of it all.

Lunde · 25/11/2025 21:43

The Royal Family buy their clothing - I believe the late Queen and Kate have donated clothing in the past.

I wonder what happened to all the clothes Charles paid almost £750K for during her year as a royal?

ThePoshUns · 25/11/2025 21:44

This is what happens when the Harkles always have to have the last word. If they let things lie they disappear. They would be wise to listen to rhe TF, never complain never explain.
