I thought I’d start a new thread as the previous one is full!

Here’s the first thread: https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/the_royal_family/5429027-andrew-to-lose-duke-of-york-title?page=1

Interesting - had been discussing her outfit on the Royal Style thread - hadn't occurred to me the leaves on the headpiece might have been intended for laurel (didn't look that shape).

I thought her overall outfit was great but she would have been better with a more traditional lace mantilla. Her brooch was lovely.

I’m pretty sure that’s what they represent. The young women wear laurel crowns for graduation ceremonies in Italy. My DD had one when she graduated in Rome,

Quite possible then - though the shape seems strange. I wondered if the leaves related to the theme of the service - KC3's environmental work

Maybe I am wrong? It just seemed to make sense to me?

You're probably right.

Thought it looked like part of a Halloween costume

I loved the head dress! I'm probably the only person but i thought it was really dramatic and big enough not to get lost in the Sistine Chapel (did anyone scream there i wonder!).

I liked it too. I really don’t understand why people feel the need to be so bitchy.
