I've just read that he threw himself on his big four poster bed in Royal Lodge, and is cuddling each and every teddy in turn, amidst his tears of rage.

I couldn't care less what consenting adults get up to in their sex life, but presumably certain standards of conduct are expected of the head of the church?

Well, in light of who 'invented' the CofE, so to speak, the standards are ok

In any case, the church means nothing to me, someones job role has nothing to do with their sex life. Its their private business.

He is not ceasign to be anything. Why can't people understand this!

@Peaknique you seem very wound up by this, are you Sarah Ferguson? 😀 He is technically still the Duke of York but the good news is that, against his will, he's been forced to stop using the title. Hope this causes him sleepless nights because he deserves far worse....

MrsLeonFarrell · 17/10/2025 19:53

That is Andrew's spin. The BBC are stating categorically that he gave them up. Maybe you should tell them they have got it wrong.

Straycats · 17/10/2025 19:54

About bloody time, long overdue. He’s a complete sleezebag.

MrsLeonFarrell · 17/10/2025 19:54

Expert on the BBC saying that it is known the Prince of Wales was consulted. I bet he was.

He didn't have a relationship with her, she was a victim of trafficking

And all Andrew and his former girlfriend Ghislaine have to do is give some statements if they want Epstein’s other pals to face justice.

soupyspoon · 17/10/2025 18:45

Im keen on her, she should have more of a role but then she also has had her moments, didnt she have a few speeding incidents and her dog attacked someone?

Not in the same league of course.

She did, she turned up to Court on the dog charge and was fined, had to pay compensation and keep the dog on a lead.
Unlike A who doesn't seem to want his day in Court!

His statement is literally on the Royal Family's website.

There is a big difference between not using, and giving up.

Do you really believe that Virginia was the only girl (yes girl, not woman, she was under 18) that Epstein set him up with? And that none of them were underage? And in any case, it's my understanding that Virginia was underage in the state that she was trafficked from.

What difference is there?

I am indeed wound up by the inaccurate reporting 😆 People, including the BBC, don't seem to understand what has gone on here.

Superhansrantowindsor · 17/10/2025 19:56

How have they persuaded him to do this?
what new revelations are coming?

If I give you my coat, I have given it up, I have renounced it. If I keep my coat, but don't use it, I still have my coat.

Yes, as an atheist I think the whole church thing is a joke. Maybe Charles could give up that title, too, if nobody cares anyway?

PrestonHood121 · 17/10/2025 19:57

He will still be throwing around his blood Prince status though, so let’s have Parliament go one step further and take that too from common use. Just plain old Andrew Mountbatten Windsor from here on out.

Parliament can remove a peerage but princely titles are in the gift of the sovereign. Charles could remove it at the stroke of a pen, but I very much doubt he will.

MrsLeonFarrell · 17/10/2025 19:58

In amongst the glee I feel i about I'm really really frustrated that all that is going to happen to him is a loss of titles. He should be called legally to account.

Jenny Bond said he hasn't fallen on his sword, he's been pushed on it!

notacooldad · 17/10/2025 19:41

soupyspoon I couldnt care less if someone is an 'adulterer'
Neither do I.
I dont have an interest in the Royal family on the whole, but I don't think 'her moments' as it was referred to are that bad compared to some one who was to become a King and with all the responsibilities it entails.

Seriously? How many kings can you name who weren’t adulterers? George VI probably? Most of them WHILE they were king. Charles may have been adulterous in the past but not now. He’s been faithful to all intents for well over 20 years!

Vaxtable · 17/10/2025 19:59

soupyspoon · 17/10/2025 18:40

Whats the purpose of it, what does it achieve or mean?

That basically the RF are also saying enough is enough, get gone and don’t come back

hes an absolute liability and hopefully now we will see nothing of him again

Can they remove that? It's being described as his birthright, as the son of a queen. So if it's not given legally can they remove it? I genuinely don't know the answer.

Peaknique · 17/10/2025 20:01

He is still a Prince.

Charles could remove it, simply by signing a Letters Patent to that effect. However, removing a Princely title from the son and now brother of a monarch is almost certainly not a precedent he would want to set.
