He is not innocent of the two sentences in my post.

Yes and I agree those words were at best misjudge, ill advised and crass, however we aren't fully aware of PA's communications with others. That does not my view warrant the vilification in the press and the vitriolic comments the have surfaced in the last 24 hours. Society has to be above that.

agree , but for some reason posters don't see this.

Just because Andrew has done much worse doesn’t exonerate Harry!

I just want to point out that Diana was a teenager when 33-y-o Charles was courting her.

My mother was a teenager over 60 years ago when my 36 year old father was courting her. They had a loving happy marriage and were only separated by death.

I don't agree. You may not like the press in the last couple of days. But given he had been behaving in the most awful way for decades, at some point, the chickens come home to roost. Call it karma if you like.
He has treated people abysmally, as has his wife... should that all be forgotten? And you may call lying to the british public misjudged, ill advised and crass... it is still lying. He knew he was lying. He was happy to lie. He thought he could get away with it.
It is interesting to converse with someone on here who defends him. I don't understand it, but we are all entitled to our opinions.

I didn’t realise this book is a rewrite of a book Virginia Guiffre previously wrote, there is another book coming out by another one of Epsteins victims which sounds even more harrowing and things I had never heard of.

How the hell did he manage to ensnare so many people into his web.

There's always gullible people and people who look for an easy way in life.

Pity about your limited comprehension!

And people who have such shit lives that they will try and find their way out in whatever way they can.

That is why very young vulnerable girls were ensnared. They were promised modelling contracts, money for education courses, openings with influential people... this is how sex trafficking happens. They don't at the time recognise themselves as victims because they have been expertly groomed. That is what Maxwell did. The victims may well feel it isn't right, they may want to leave but they feel scared.

They also have nowhere to go if they are able to leave.

What a terrible mess the whole thing is - I can't help but think how upset the late Queen would have been about these latest revelations. I know most people on here hate Fergie, but she was a beautiful bride in that gorgeous dress. What a terrible shame.

I think it will be very interesting to see if Beatrice and Eugenie (the blood princesses!) do the Christmas walk. With husbands, with Beatrice's stepson like last year.

There is absolutely NO reason why they can't bow out. Surely that would be the sensible thing to do. That is what I would do, given the circs. But if they parade themselves with the rest of the royals, to me, that means they have as much brass neck as their parents.

Nice attitude! Here again pushing the sins of the parents onto the children.

I think I already asked if the Sussexes' children should be held up to inspection because of their parents' lies?

I don’t think anyone would minimise the human cost of the crimes that are being discussed. The point is as it stands PA has not been charged or convicted of anything, non of us know what the truth is and I believe that innocent until proven guilty is an absolute right whatever your social standing. As it stands I believe PA deserves that right just as much as the next person, whilst I understand the strength of feeling I do not think some of the vitriolic commentary is appropriate.

I’ve always believed that very strongly too and have got myself into arguments making that very point,

However, following the Lownie revelations, I’ve changed my viewpoint in this case. Based on the new allegations I now think that,on the balance of probability and in the face of all his other lies, I think he is guilty.

Of course he is! How could there be any doubt at all?

It's a start and I'm sure the people of York, Inverness and all other places soiled by association with this fat creep are mightily pleased about him losing those titles. He and the entire ex-York clan are a bunch of wastrels, his ex wife is a money grabbing grifter, but he is the worst; he's an obnoxious, thick, over protected, entitled creep if ever I saw one. Next stop CPS to scrutinise his and his ex wife's finances I hope.

If my parents had been all over the press as much as they have been lately, I would gracefully not attend the Christmas walkabout out of respect for the rest of the Royal Family.
That is not 'pushing the sins of the parents onto the children'. That is showing some sensible respect for the royal family who would probably like to do that Christmas walk without wall to wall coverage that I was there.

You can attack me all you like for that view, your opinion means nothing to me.

Yes. It’s believed he still has some support primarily his security is funded by KC. So it’s possible KC could threaten to reduce that somewhat, to apply further financial pressure.

That was removed.

ozarina · 18/10/2025 17:54

Yet here you are having to tell me that 😂😂😂😂as for" attack " I'm allowed to pick anyone up on what they say as are you. As you say it's my opinion. @jumping.

By bailing Andrew out, the late Queen is as bad imo.

Don't be ridiculous . You have NO idea what she knew.

Skater78 · 18/10/2025 17:56

What are the royal family bothered by ? The abuse of under age girls and their suffering or simply that Andrew conducted himself in a way that makes them look bad and damages their brand.
pretty sure it’s the latter.

RobG · 18/10/2025 17:57

Next time you get caught by the Police doing something serious and illegal, simply tell the Police that you will 'no longer refer to yourself as the Duke of York' and then walk out of the Police Station, scot free. 😉

Itwasallyellow2 · 18/10/2025 15:52

This has taken too long and the timing makes me wonder what else is going to come out over the coming weeks.

I have no doubt that he continues to get significant financial support from the Royal Family which will enable him to either stay in his current property or move to an alternative, luxury, pad. He has been enabled throughout his life and will no doubt continue to be so. Removal of titles doesn’t go far enough. Sickening. But am I surprised? No. There are few consequences for the Royal Family and they continue to exist regardless of behaviour or work output. If they were employed by a public body, most would be sacked.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that. I work in the public sector. It’s toxic and corrupt!

I agree. QE2 was told time and time again there was a problem with what Andrew was doing and the company he was keeping.
She showed 'concern' but did absolutely nothing about it. She enabled her son and left her other son, Charles, with a poisoned chalice to pick up.

She was absolutely complicit in this whole thing. She indulged and defended him all his life, let him get away with whatever he wanted, defended him against all complaints by staff, paid off his accusers to the tune of millions and then as soon as her husband was dead, invited his ex wife back into the fold and gave her her dogs. Demonstrating that both of them were fully endorsed and favoured by her.

Quite obviously the latter. In his carcrash interview he was given every opportunity to show sympathy for the victims of Epstein. He said nothing.

Then when the shit hit the fan he put out a statement saying the right thing. It was not in him at the time to think of this... his statement was damage limitation.
