Andrew to lose Duke of York title

News banner from the Torygraph saying Andrew and Sarah are losing their titles. They will be ‘put into Abeyance’ Andrew also to lose the Order of the Garter. Sarah will be known as Sarah Ferguson, he retains ‘Prince’ as he is the son of HM QE2.

I'd agree with a PP that he should be banished to Russia but I suspect they would be only too happy to laud him and give him a nice big house in exchange for his knowledge.

PA has clearly been given a choice. Put the titles in abeyance or face the humiliation of an act of parliament to formally remove them - the King can’t strip him of them any other way. So the poster is factually correct in that no other member of the RF can use them because technically they belong to PA.

Charles cut off PA’s civil list funding in 2024. His income is now reportedly an armed forces pension and any funds he receives from personal assets - he’s in the process of selling a chalet in Switzerland.

I agree on the broke and idiot bit. But not on the rest. I can't remember where I read it, it might have been the Lownie book but it is absolutely untrue she was left a pittance by the Royal family when she divorced. It's a myth. A convenient one for sure. She was left very comfortably off.

However she spent all her money like water. Her extravagance knew no bounds

We don't know the full story, all we see is what is reported in the press, Some of the contents of the emails show poor judgment. The fact still remains that PA has not been charged or convicted of anything, yes he has shown poor judgement in his choice of friends , is that really a reason to vilify. We do not know the full story, some of the reporting is inaccurate, underage in this country is 16 not 18 and that is continually misreported. I have no feelings regarding PA, I do not know him, but if this was an "ordinary" member of the public or my relative or friend I would feel that the treatment in press was excessive and the vilification uncalled for. I would be worried about the impact on their mental health of such relentless attention.

Totally disagree. And bringing up the age of whoever he slept with is irrelevant because all these girls were deemed as sex trafficking victims and age knows no limit.
And it isn't only what is reported in the press, when the US justice system was trying to serve him papers there was plenty to read that were sworn court papers
He is also proven to be a complete liar.

No he's not. That has been sold after a court case where him and Sarah were being sued.

His money quite obviously is coming from the middle East funnelled through by his daughters who are spending a huge amount of time there

How would this affect their daughters? Don't they have York as their last names (although maybe not, as both married). They are known as Princess of York though, I believe.
