Meghan has just popped a video clip of herself in the back of a limo with her feet up travelling through the streets of Paris. Is this rather insensitive given the way her MIL died or is it perfectly normal to post such stuff?

Im not defending them per se. Im defending the fact that teeth don't need to be destroyed in order to have perfect white teeth cos people like you judge on it.

Well what is looking clean? White teeth? Teeth arent that white naturally. Any dentist will tell you that.

You are relentless aren’t you. Yes I know the natural state of teeth isn’t whitey white but H’s teeth still look terrible. It actually annoys me because it reinforces the American stereotype that British people have bad teeth.

thenightsky · 31/10/2025 22:20

Harry's teeth look ok to me. He has no gaps/missing teeth. If they ain't broke, don't fix em.

Better late than never!

It was quite the choice to allow Andrew to issue the initial statement...I mean KC3 is King so he needs to do the job including censuring family members when needed. To be so behind public opinion shows how insular KC3's team is and I do hope he shakes up his advisory team. IMHO, since Andrew insists on his innocence, he should co-operate with the justice system...if a trial was ok for KC1 then it is more than ok for Andrew, if it comes to that.

As for H&M, they are nowhere near A&S but they are a generation younger and as @BemusedAmerican has pointed out, they have already garnered a track record. Similar to A&S, H&M are willing to glom onto billionaires for money...see Tyler Perry who is facing a $260 million sexual harassment lawsuit.

I still wonder if the statement by A was issued with BP approval, or was A going rogue. Trying to take contol a bit. Which then precipitated the need for BP to unleash the ensuing nuclear option.

I just don't see BP being behind a soft divestment of honours one week, then all Strrp Jack Naked the next.

Caveat: I've had a few glasses of wine, and a dose of Slow Horses, but it looks more and more likely to me ATM that A's statement was premature and a desperate dare on A's part to hold onto something.

BemusedAmerican · 31/10/2025 23:39

Most American health plans don't include dental. I don't know how Harry is paying for his health plan, but perhaps dental isn't included and he doesn't want to fork out the dental payments.

StartupRepair · 01/11/2025 00:37

The first statement was so much Andrew - entitled patronising tone, no mention of the victims, etc- that I agree it went out unchecked and caused a commotion in the king's camp

drivinmecrazy · 01/11/2025 01:23

i think it would be relatively easy for William to remove the dukedom from his brother as a non working royal. Obviously he would leave Harry with his title of prince because he’s not done anything to justify taking that away from him.

he obviously won’t like it, but until he married that’s just what he was.

simple.

they really have done nothing, nor are they likely to, to hold a royal dukedom.

I don’t see any issue here.

Branster · 01/11/2025 06:59

Does Harry have an actual dukedom as in physical lands to manage? Or is it a title with no tangible assets?

FancyBiscuitsLevel · 01/11/2025 07:22

I don’t think William would remove the title from Harry unless he did something terrible. (And just talking about his own experiences with his family wouldn’t count as something terrible.)

Apart from anything else, then he would just be Prince Henry of Wales. And Meghan would be Princess Henry of Wales. For a lot of people, her being known as “Princess”, even with her husband’s name, would be seen as an upgrade, not the downgrade it is.

Many people did think Princess Michael of Kent just had a usual first name.

Branster · 01/11/2025 07:34

Well you are the one making a big deal about his natural teeth being so terrible and he should sort them out just because it'll make ppl think British ppl have awful teeth. Seriously wtf. Whats so terrible? The colour? Lets stop adding to this pressure people feel in society to have perfecr teeth and bodies.

If the reports I read are true, it was Charles decision to remove Andrew’s titles. Anne and Edward weren’t that keen. And William is the one who is worried about Andrew’s mental health. Andrew’s alleged wrongdoings are actually extremely serious.

I doubt he’d do it to his brother Harry for telling tales on his family members.

FancyBiscuitsLevel · 01/11/2025 08:20

@BeeWitchy- I would take all those reports with a massive pinch of salt until a member of the family confirms what actually happened. There’s a lot of spin around Andrew in an attempt to make the King look less like he’s been ignoring it for years and to frame William as a progressive future King. So throwing Anne and Edward under the bus seems about right.

AtIusvue · 01/11/2025 08:26

William is ferociously protective of his wife. Meg n Harry through Kate under a bus. Harry revealed private text messages of Kate in his book and didn’t publicly come to her defence when Scobie named her as the racist that commented on Archie’s skin colour. Even though they are more than happy to correct the press when they’ve printed something they don’t like.

Harry is done. Every title he has, will go. But it won’t be done as punishment, it will be under the guise of the new monarchy only uses titles for those that serve the British public.

That easily sorts out his security issues- as a commoner he won’t need police protection in the UK. His visa status will change, so he could apply for American citizenship to sort any issues.

It brings everything to a conclusion and finally everyone can move on.

Before Thursday, I would never have believed that but now I think anything is possible. I think there’s an argument to be made for removing the Sussex title. This was given by the Queen on their wedding day with the expectation they would be working royals. They didn’t even manage two years and M has been using her title for commercial purposes. It’s an honorary title not a birthright.

Can you jog my memory? I’ve not seen Meghan use it for commercial purposes. I have watched some of her show and looked at her jams and stuff, I listened to a couple of the archetypes podcasts online and that’s it. But she’s not used the DoS that I could see?

I still don’t think William will take their titles. Those brother might heartily dislike each other, but they do love each other I believe.

But apart from that, if they strip too many titles from people the family stops being special in any way - just very ordinary mortals. The titles are a big part of the mystique and magic. If they arent special what’s the point of having them as head of state and all the rest? May as well switch to something more utilitarian. I’m not strongly for a constitutional monarchy, but at this point in time, with much of the world in upheaval and looking pretty grim, I personally think it’s the best choice. Stripping one person’s titles, the titles of someone who is absolutely suspected of doing bad things, is one thing. Start taking more because you don’t like what they’ve said would be a mistake in my opinion.

As ever, is a line of products ‘curated by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’. Slap bang on the front of its website.

Of course she uses her title for commercial purposes

I just found that Sarah Ferguson was using her title, Duchess of York, for commercial purposes also. She wasn’t stopped. And used it for years. She’s been stripped of the title now, but while she had it she used it. Meghan using hers isn’t a big deal then.

Letmeoutodhere · 01/11/2025 09:34

A relative of ours does work for them from time to time. She is very grand and insists on being called 'the Duchess'.

EmpressSisi · 01/11/2025 09:37

It’s hilarious watching all the Sussex Squad “Republicans” suddenly panic after all that “what about Andrew?” noise. They’ve suddenly realised that a precedent’s been set and titles can actually be removed. And they all know William won’t hesitate to do the same to their faves when he’s King 🤣

Exactly !!!!

this is what everyone was saying, Meghan and Sarah are similar grifters and users, Sarah has been a laughing stock for years, and Meghan is following suit.

I bet they are already working on that now, it’s not something they can figure out at the last minute. I imagine The Yorks scenario has been in the works for quite some time.

Charles’s popularity has increased significantly in the few days since he finally implemented the removal of the Yorks.

Harry and Meghan are another thorn in his side from a public perception, it just does not make sense to have a British prince, living overseas, constantly denigrate the UK public and the Monarch, which despite what some people like to think, is still liked and wanted by a majority of the British public.

Maybe Harry and Meghan will outrun the speeding train and voluntarily put their British Royal titles, and that of their children, into abeyance, it will save them a lot of face when the time comes.

MrsLeonFarrell · 01/11/2025 10:06

I doubt they will do anything publically about the Sussex titles. But, as i said earlier, i do believe this is a warning shot to any royal that using titles for commercial purposes isn't necessarily going to be ignored going forward.

I think William will probably take the Danish approach of removing princely titles from everyone except his own children and George’s future children. Honestly, if it hadn’t been for the ‘racist’ comment made about the Archie, it might’ve just been Archie and Lili losing their titles. But now it would look bad to strip titles from the only mixed race children in the family, so he may feel pressured to go further and include Harry, Beatrice, and Eugenie too. I’m not sure he’d extend it to Anne and Edward, but it’s not impossible. Time will tell I guess.

I’m not so sure about the Sussex title though.
