Meghan has just popped a video clip of herself in the back of a limo with her feet up travelling through the streets of Paris. Is this rather insensitive given the way her MIL died or is it perfectly normal to post such stuff?

I just saw the date night video....hmmmm.

There is a disconnect in the way that Meghan pulls the hat down or looks away from camera as if she is being modest/not wanting to be on camera - in direct contrast to having the Instagram account and chasing publicity.

Harry's teeth - mine are far from perfect too but I am surprised he hasn't gone all- American and had them bleached like Simon Cowell.

HeddaGarbled · 30/10/2025 17:16

It wasn’t really date night though, was it? It was PR. As was the pumpkin shenanigans and all her other nonsense.

StrawberryWasp · 30/10/2025 17:56

Spectre8 · 30/10/2025 16:40

Because not everyone is the same and what you want for a date night isn't what someone else would want 💁‍♀️ why does date night have to be dinner and drinks and chatting why can't it be going and doing something fun together

Well of course.
If their idea of a fun night is videoing each other eating snacks and then posting it on social media, they are free to do so.

And once it's on social media for clicks and content I'm free to comment.

Nobody is saying they can't do any cringey self promoting thing they want, but why you think we shouldn't comment is just odd.

I don’t understand someone with all that money who is in the public eye having such awful teeth.

For all the newspaper snobs out there, even The Times has reported on the couple being booed at the game, along with commenting on their tenth publicist in five years quitting (speculating on whether they’ve joined the “Sussex Survivors Club”), the hypocrisy of sharing their children’s faces online, and the fact that Meghan has been voted the most disliked celebrity on LA based polling site Ranker (with 38,000 negative votes out of 48,000), with Harry coming in third.

It’s an interesting read.

“It seems that whatever love affair America once had with the couple is well and truly over”.

Edit: Sorry for quoting you @BigWillyLittleTodger i must have caught a button 😊

The Times

It’s not about ‘newspaper snobbery’ it’s about the heavily concentrated ownership of news media that makes people like Murdoch (who also owns the Times btw), far too powerful.

We have to be able to believe our news media are a responsible media. I heard yesterday that Murdoch’s news on Australia is being sued by a politician because it published an article about he and his wife which made no claims for which there was no source.

The press and news media play an integral part in the checks and balances on government. As we are finding out concentrated media ownership by small group of billionaires is not good for healthy democracy, or healthy societies in general.

BeeWitchy · 30/10/2025 20:23

My 3rd paragraph should not read ‘no claims’ but just ‘claims’)

Btw, is anyone having problems with this site lately? It’s acting slow too loud and ‘sticks, sometimes it doesn’t respond?

Fear of the dentist. I would never put myself through cosmetic dental work.

There was a thread about it the other day. It’s because of the ads not loading properly. I’ve had to give up using it online and use the stupid app instead which has much worse functionality 🙄

I dont care if they were booed. It’s good if the source was correct. My concern is about the ‘sources’ news media are saying they’ve used. An ‘unnamed source’ used to have some weight to it. Because journalist would go to prison to protect their unnamed source. Nowadays, unnamed gossips are being call unnamed sources and they aren’t being called to account for it. It’s not serious journalism. And should concern us all.

In fact, reporting on some royals who live in another country being booed at an LA dodgers game is hardly Times worthy.

Now, I’m off to read about the now simply Andrew and what is being called the biggest crisis for the monarchy since the abdication.

Why would you destroy perfectly okay teeth and get veneers or whatever so they looked perfect and white. Or even just bleaching alone...why? Its not natural.

What? You think I’m more concerned about Harry & Meghan being booed than by the state of the news media?

I was surprised when David Bowie caved and had his done, he always said he wouldn't. It affected his singing and speech for quite some time. Have to say his natural teeth were bad, so the effect was startling and looked like dentures.

MrsLeonFarrell · 31/10/2025 06:57

The Mail are comparing Meghan's products to Highgrove's. It makes Highgrove look affordable which I have never thought before. I she with the PP who said Meghan would have been better advised to produce items which reflected California rather than the UK because she always gets them slightly wrong.

Not2identifying · 31/10/2025 07:43

@StrawberryWasp Ken's job is 'Beach' and Harry's job is 'Helping' is hilarious. You're so right, although Harry lacks Ken's appeal and keen insight/self-awareness.
