Is Meghan a narcissist?

I keep seeing these reels and social media smears on Meghan being a narcissist and abusive partner to Harry. She certainly doesn't seem overly popular with the royal family or understood the expectations of her as a royal when she married him.

I'm by no means a royalist or a fan of Megan's. But I'm the same age as Harry so always felt I could relate a little to him. I haven't read his book or watched the netflix docs.

The main thing that doesn't sit quite right for me is they wanted a 'private life' and then done anything but. Did Megan use Harry's desire for privacy to isolate him from his family and friends?

Agree.
It's Meghan's mother so she deserves to be attacked according to some. As do her friends or anyone who is remotely positive about Meghan.

And now social workers and those in caring roles tend to be the most 'problematic' people.
What a truly awful thing to say. You should be ashamed of that statement. I'm taken aback

Edited

You must lead an extremely sheltered life if you think that’s a dreadful thing to say to the point of being “taken aback” 🙄. No one needs to be “ashamed” of saying such a thing. Trying to control others opinions and thoughts using “shame” itself is incredibly toxic don’t you know?

It is well known that narcs and lesser attention seekers are often drawn to caring/being in charge type roles. It is not a particularly controversial point to make. Is Doria such a person? I couldn’t say but she did disappear for a large portion of her daughter’s childhood and it is clear that Meghan has struggled with that. Personality disorders are often related to abandonment or disrupted attachment to a parent.

Is Meghan a Narc? No one can really know unless a trained professional, but I have a very close relative who is borderline personality disordered in my family, and constant trouble making, obsession with what others think, triangulating their loved one’s relationships and attempts at isolating them have featured massively over the years. Total lies for dramatic affect or to get their own way leading to huge family conflict is also often the order of the day. I do see similarities in Meghan and this relative’s behaviour - the viciously angry facial expressions when people aren’t cooperating especially.

She said in words - not diagnosing ! Perhaps read the post properly?

At 19.39 last night,@YourTruthorMinesaid “I think she’s a narcissist because…” Sure sounds like a diagnosis to me.

She did. And in the next post, she diagnosed.

I can’t imagine that it would be controversial to point out that research suggests a notable percentage of CEOs exhibit psychopathic traits? Understanding the correlation between personality traits and the kind of roles they cluster in is a genuine area of study.

Intimating that Doria as a social worker and others in caring professions are mostly 'problematic' people is an unpleasant statement to make AFAIC

Interesting you should post this as it shows that the "senior care" company has

  • expired registration
  • its current standing is "forfeited" - so it is suspended for failure to comply with tax rules
  • the lawyer listed is Richard Genrow who is a Beverley Hills entertainment lawyer most known for representing Meghan in entertainment deals - an odd choice for a social care company

There have long been rumours that Doria's company is a shell company that exists only on paper

  • registered in 2019
  • no premises apart from the address at the entertainment lawyer
  • no evidence of staff
  • only method of contact via a box that you fill in on the webpage
  • single page website with generic pictures - not updated since 2020 https://www.lovingkindnessseniorcare.com/
  • don't seem to be any reviews on Trust Pilot/Yelp etc
  • not to be confused with other companies that use the name Loving Kindness

Why the hell are people barking on about diagnosis of narcissism, you don’t need a diagnosis to call someone a narcissist. She exhibits LOADS of narcissistic traits which have been brought up time and time again, and she continues to exhibit, this doesn’t need a clinician to confirm NPD when discussing her on a forum, albeit I think, as usual, it’s the Meghan fans trying to shut people down as usual. She’s a narcissist.

The website doesn't even mention what area they cover and you can buy membership to ALCA for as little as $64

I'm not sure anyone said that - only that the most problematic people they know are social workers/in caring roles.

That doesn't mean all or even many carers are problematic - only that some very problematic people are drawn to it for the wrong reasons.

YourTruthorMine · 03/10/2025 21:04

I think some people struggle with reading comprehension & critical thinking. The OP asked Is Meghan a Narcissist? Most of us respond with an opinion - I think she is due to xyz, or I don't believe she is due to xyz, it's quite simple. Responding with personal attacks is a red flag in itself. As for Doria, well she has wisely kept out of the media, so I don't have enough information to have an opinion either way. However the Loving Care outfit she's running appears to be dodgy, but perhaps she's been manipulated by her daughter? I mean aged care is a great money spinner, is it not?

You are contradicting yourself here!

Where is the contradiction here? There isn’t one, as far as I can see.

Or the third opinion-we can have absolutely no idea whether or not she is a narcissist because we have never met or interacted with her.

ozarina · 04/10/2025 10:36

Then again I know what kind of person Hitler was by his acts and speeches and I never met him. I have a pretty good idea of what Keir Starmer is all about too. You don't have to have met someone to get the gist of them as a person.

Not going to pick up the Hitler reference because it’s absurd. What mental health issues does Starmer have?

Oh dear... I didn't say Keir Starmer does . 🙄 What I said was you don't need to have met someone to get an idea of what they are like. ( for the second time) as you can judge to a certain extent by their public performances.

So you are doing exactly what you are complaining others do ? You are judging people being bitches based on their posts ? But according to you people cannot make judgements of Meghan's character based on her words and actions . Hmmm...

I criticise Meghan’s behaviour ( Harry too) . That doesn’t make me a “ bitch who hates her”. Like so many others I see her for what she is and am not impressed.

Because we can see what she does as she posts it all online!!! Also you don’t have to be diagnosed to be a narcissist, it’s pretty clear from pretty much everything she does!
