Yet more damaging revelations for the Yorks. How did the Daily Mail manage to get hold of the email I wonder?

Apparently TDOY wrote that email under duress, she was being threatened with the prospect of being sued by an incredibly wealthy and influential man.

According to 'Entitled' she's no stranger to the threat of being sued and has always brazened it out so I'm not buying her cowering under the bedclothes on this one.

Duchess Disingenuous is well past her sell-by date.

She got herself into that position. She overspent so much that she needed a dodgy benefactor. No one hands over the amounts he did to her without expecting big favours in return. What did he want from her I wonder?

CathyorClaire · 22/09/2025 20:22

Contacts and schmoozing he couldn't have hoped to access otherwise. IMO, obvs.

Letmeoutodhere · 22/09/2025 20:25

Yes I agree

ThePinkSwans · 22/09/2025 21:01

How did Ferguson get into $5 million debt when she lives in a grace and favour house? 😮

I’ve always been neutral about Ferguson, even Andrew, as I don’t believe the one sided story we heard.

But what on earth was she playing at to send him those awful, grovellling emails. I think it was simply about money. I noticed she use the word “generous” when thanking him for being her friend. You think she’d had learned her lesson after The Sun sting where she tried to get £1/2 a million in return for access to her husband; what’s wrong with these people?

What am I missing with this?

Apparently TDOY wrote that email under duress, she was being threatened with the prospect of being sued by an incredibly wealthy and influential man. The email is written in an overly frilly prose, so does sound like an attempt to placate.

I don't know what else she was supposed to do? Had she been sued for defamation, the press would have had an absolute field day and that would have also gone down very badly indeed and exposed both her and Andrew and by extension the RF, to a great deal more scandal, surely?

for now that is her claim. There is no evidence. Plus she is from a rich family she could afford to go to battle. Duchess again paedophile. Great story. What is in evidence though is that she and her husband like to cosy up to rich people for personal gain.

Greed. Money doesnt buy satisfaction

ThePinkSwans · 22/09/2025 21:15

I know. But her and her family can/could have such an amazing life, plenty of money even if not super rich, never have to worry about money for the rest of their lives - without ever needing to degrade herself in this way.

Now she’s lost her reputation, and that’s not so easily regained, no matter how much money you have.

Letmeoutodhere · 22/09/2025 21:20

Did she ever really have a reputation though?

NautilusLionfish · 22/09/2025 21:23

ColgateTotal · 22/09/2025 10:32

She did a lot in her reign and had a lot of duties in her role as Queen. I would like to see you do better. She was cherished by the nation and that was witnessed on her departure.

She cannot be blamed for what Andrew did anymore that Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwel’s mothers can be blamed for what they did.

The blame lies at the door of the perpetrators. It’s for the law to intervene and investigate and the same applies to Andrew.

@jumpingthehighjump would like to try and she would make an amazing queen who would abolish this outdated institution that holds family members hostage and takes the public for fools. Sadly, she cant because this is not a democratic institution. It ensures that power stays in one family no matter how demented its individuals are.
QE2 was admired because much of her rule was under a world that doffed its caps to their betters. By the time people started to be a bit critical she was old and it was like oh sweet old lady. She wasnt. She was a woman who would dodge tax while her "subjects" increasingly lived in cold houses. She would rather see her son and his wife unhappy that let his son marry his choice of woman because of some outdated rule. Yes she smiled and waved and wore colourful hats and curated the image of a perfect Queen but she should also have dealt with Andrew firmly - as much as his mistakes are his choices. Instead she kicked all cans down the road for Charles to deal with then didnt give up her crown giving him very little time to deal with things and ensuring he cannot build a legacy to rival hers. She wasnt a nasty woman. But one wonders...

ThePinkSwans · 22/09/2025 21:27

Letmeoutodhere · 22/09/2025 21:20

Did she ever really have a reputation though?

Well, she came across as “human” and somewhat relatable. Quite a warm person? Her two daughters came across as maybe a bit odd but heh. But these begging letters to Epstein 😮.

PS. I remember the only other woman Prince Andrew allegedly wanted to marry was a soft porn actress, Koo Stark. What’s it all about, Alfie?

ThePinkSwans · 22/09/2025 21:34

PS. In India - Maharjas - royal regional royals - were allowed to choose their heirs. It’s not automatic to their firstborn. They can choose a non-relative to be their heir too. It involves a formal adoption I believe even as an adult.

Thats something I learned on my trip to India, at least that’s how it was explained to me. I thought it was quite a good idea. A way of avoiding totally unsuitable offspring becoming heirs. Plus in previous centuries, such a system for the English royal family may have also avoided various trips to the Tower of London.

That said, didn’t “the men in grey suits” help push Edward the VII and Simpson off the royal stage?!!

suburberphobe · 22/09/2025 21:35

How much more are you willing to pay for these thieves from your tax?

Yet Charles seems to have no issue with distancing his own son Harry. It is bizarre to me how monarchists equate the behaviour of Harry with that of Andrew; all Harry is guilty of is choosing a separate path and stepping away from the monarchy. That seems to be the one unforgivable thing to monarchy's supporters; despite the fact that the right to choose one's own career is something that they and the rest of us would take for granted when it comes to ourselves.

Andrew otoh has maintained a close friendship with a sex trafficker and allegedly abused one of the victims - yet remains in the Royal fold. I just don't believe that an immensely privileged man like Charles couldn't distance himself from A if he wanted to; he had no difficulty distancing his son, or his first wife.

The difference between their treatment and the kid gloves approach to Andrew is striking. The Sussexes seem to make their own living; I suppose it is meant to be better to be grifters like the Yorks.

And it isn't working in making A 'toe the line'; he has just embarrassed them yet again through his behaviour at the DofK's funeral. And leaks about Epstein are going to continue to come out.

Thank you, I was going to voice similar.

It amazes me how much vitriol there is against Harry and Meghan when all they have done is stand up for themselves and want to seperate from lead royal life. Yet you have the rest, Prrince Phillip a known sexist, rasist aoganb philander, but it was ok because he was just “joking”. The Queen spoilt Andrew rotten indulging his life’s choices, nothing was ever done about his behaviour, she also stood by after finding out about her first cousins being dumbed in homes, dying with the Queen or anyone else giving a shit. Add to that her intentionally ruining her sisters life by refusing to allow Margaret to marry the man she wanted, she also stood by letting her oldest son suffer at that boarding school and be bullied by his dad. Her cruelty to Diana who was practically a child forced into a marriage of a middle aged man, granted Diana was smitten but she was too young and naive to fully grasp her future life imo. Then there is poor Diana’s life, married to a man that cheated on her, neglected her, was jealous of her, flaunting his mistress for all too see laughing in his wife’s face.

Ann we’ve already heard about and Edward and Sophie aren’t exactly squeaky clean, didn’t there have some dodgy business affairs years ago.

Add the constant take take take from the British public, it’s exhausting. I just don’t get the loyalty to people purely based on what family they happen to be born into when they show nothing but contempt for the lowly public.

They are quiet literally the epitome of toxic narcissistic family as what do toxic and abusive families do when anyone dares to stand up to them, they alienate them, turn the world against them and tell them they are the ones with the problem!

ThePinkSwans · 22/09/2025 21:39

What did the Yorks do that was embarrassing at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral? I’m sorry I missed that?

Pollqueen · 22/09/2025 21:47

NoelFurlong · 21/09/2025 10:40

Just when I thought Fergie couldn’t be any more reprehensible.

Princess Margaret was so right when she wrote to her and stated, ‘You have done more to bring shame on this family than could ever have been imagined.’

Charles needs to properly cut off both her and Andrew. Neither of their faces should be seen at any public events regarding the RF.

Remember Margarent and Roddy Lewellyn? 1979/80 pictured together in Mustique whilst she was still married to Snowdon? Pot, kettle

Not defending Ferguson but Margaret was in no position to throw stones

Yes, there’s no evidence as far as I’m aware. Also, what did she actually say to the Evening Standard that Epstein could have sued her for? His reputation was basically trash by that point anyway…

You're right. Anne's ex husband having a child whilst still married to Anne. That wasn't a huge news story at the time and it died down very quickly
They're all at it!

It is wild! Apparently common in aristocratic circles. We just really have little idea how they live or how they think.

I think the Wall Street Journal has a pile. And maybe the New York Times. I’ve already forgotten who released Epstein’s Birthday Book - there so much of it that it’s chaotic (chaos is apparently the MO of the Trump administration).

Oh Charles schmoozes. Didn't some benefactor of his youth charity turn up with two bags of cash? And they said thank you and banked it.

I agree, and if Epstein’s victims do ever manage to get the list of perpetrators read on the house (or senate) floor by a member then it will be 👀 👀 👀

Interestingly, despite all the distractions, the interest in Epstein papers isn’t going away. People are being tenacious about this.

yes he does. I try to give him benefit of doubt as I understood that his assistant took it and it went straight to the youth charity. I could be wrong. But I always wonder when his skeletons will start tumbling out of the closet. Power corrupts. Inherited power truly corrupts
