Yet more damaging revelations for the Yorks. How did the Daily Mail manage to get hold of the email I wonder?

Charles is acting very strangely over Andrew/Ferguson and Harry/Meghan.

Very strangely indeed.

He's an old guy with cancer desperately trying to leave a half decent legacy as king in the relatively short time he'll hold the title having waited a ludicrously long time for it.
He's weary of family issues and has bigger fish to fry.

She did a lot in her reign and had a lot of duties in her role as Queen. I would like to see you do better. She was cherished by the nation and that was witnessed on her departure.

She cannot be blamed for what Andrew did anymore that Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwel’s mothers can be blamed for what they did.

The blame lies at the door of the perpetrators. It’s for the law to intervene and investigate and the same applies to Andrew.

Dear oh dear. Saying "I would like to see you do better" is a ridiculous statement. I am a mere mortal, not born into an Institution like the Monarchy and I will never have the chance to prove myself!

Epstein and Maxwell's mothers weren't the Queen of Great Britain with ultimate power in reining him in!

Saying she cannot be blamed for what her son did is absolutely tosh. No, she didn't go out and act like him, but she enabled him by turning a blind eye when she was advised time and time again what he was doing. She enabled her son to live a money grasping life of debauchery mixing with the worst wealthy people imaginable.. everyone from convicted sex offenders and traffickers, to Libyan gun smuggler and middle Eastern oligarchs.
She was weak as far as he was concerned. And we don't know the half of it given his TE records have conveniently been sealed for about 40 years.

Yet Charles seems to have no issue with distancing his own son Harry. It is bizarre to me how monarchists equate the behaviour of Harry with that of Andrew; all Harry is guilty of is choosing a separate path and stepping away from the monarchy. That seems to be the one unforgivable thing to monarchy's supporters; despite the fact that the right to choose one's own career is something that they and the rest of us would take for granted when it comes to ourselves.

Andrew otoh has maintained a close friendship with a sex trafficker and allegedly abused one of the victims - yet remains in the Royal fold. I just don't believe that an immensely privileged man like Charles couldn't distance himself from A if he wanted to; he had no difficulty distancing his son, or his first wife.

The difference between their treatment and the kid gloves approach to Andrew is striking. The Sussexes seem to make their own living; I suppose it is meant to be better to be grifters like the Yorks.

And it isn't working in making A 'toe the line'; he has just embarrassed them yet again through his behaviour at the DofK's funeral. And leaks about Epstein are going to continue to come out.

but how much is that Charles distancing himself from Harry and how much is Harry distancing himself from Charles.

and I take a lot of what Harry has ever said about getting back into the fold with a pinch of salt.

The late Queen (a human being) was elderly, grieving for her husband and physically declining; and you think she should have dealt with Harry and Andrew (two despicable adult men) more effectively. 🙄

Well yes I do and if she was too elderly to do her role properly she should have abdicated. It is ridiculous for anyone to be 'working' at that age.

There were also his friendships with disgraced bishop Peter Ball and Laurens Van der Post, one of Prince William’s godfathers.

If William wasn't protecting Catherine and the children at the moment from extra stress I'd suggest Charles takes a step back. But there's no-one else to pick up the slack.

padronpepper · 22/09/2025 16:23

So the charities are beginning to drop her now. That was always going to be inevitable.

Absolutely, her behaviour beggars belief.

The duchess - Prince Andrew's ex-wife - has been dropped as a patron of children's hospice Julia's House, food allergy charity The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, the Children's Literacy Charity and the organisation Prevent Breast Cancer

Edward and Sophie? Anne? Why not them?

Edward & Sophie seem to be doing a lot more recently. Anne also already does a lot and is no spring chicken herself.

i was thinking this last night, if it had all happened 10/15 later than George, Charlotte, Louis could start doing things. However as it is they are two young and the older generations aren’t getting any younger. Zara and Her brother have never done much. Louise and her brother are also too young but give it a few years they can be given patronages. Then Beatrice and Eugenie have been tarnished with their dad’s brush.

I feel they need someone uncontroversial to plug a few gaps.

Edward and Sophie have been working a lot for years. One of the positive things in more recent times is that their work is finally getting some recognition.

Vitriolinsanity · 22/09/2025 18:39

Is anyone actually surprised that Mrs Grifter York would have written such an email. No.

The latest unedifying spectacle of them outside the Duchess of Kent’s funeral was risible.

I do think the the King, possibly because of his love for his mother, possibly his diagnosis, possibly he’s an old softy is driving his own attempts at conciliation with the York’s and Harry too.

Say what you will about William, I believe this shady lot will be feeling the business end of a huge fuck right off when he’s in the hot seat. Quite right too.

Theunamedcat · 22/09/2025 18:43

stillavid · 21/09/2025 10:35

I think it is quite obvious that Charles is not going to deal with the Andrew situation. I mean he seems to have backed down over where Andrew lives - I would love to know how Andrew suddenly found the means to maintain that.

The Yorks clearly can not be relied upon to behave with discretion or dignity at RF events like funerals and yet I would bet money that they will be there on Christmas Day smiling and leading the way at the church service.

Quite astonishing really.

He has a very rich son in law and Charles hands are legally tied provided he adheres to the agreement

Sarah was bought in more publicly to control andrew and his situation I believe and it has backfired

NautilusLionfish · 22/09/2025 19:32

She is being dropped by charities like she is yesterday's poo. And one charity said she had not been active for years (yet they kept her, and I bet she still dined on her position of patron).
Epshite, the sh*t that keeps shitting. Dead or alive. He just shits on everyone who crossed/crosses his path.

What am I missing with this?

Apparently TDOY wrote that email under duress, she was being threatened with the prospect of being sued by an incredibly wealthy and influential man. The email is written in an overly frilly prose, so does sound like an attempt to placate.

I don't know what else she was supposed to do? Had she been sued for defamation, the press would have had an absolute field day and that would have also gone down very badly indeed and exposed both her and Andrew and by extension the RF, to a great deal more scandal, surely?

jumpingthehighjump · 21/09/2025 10:06

This is what I posted on the Andrew 100 emails to Epstein thread

They are a couple of grifting lying fools. Andrew was a barefaced liar on film to the public in his carcrash interview saying he had completely cut contact with Epstein, when he hadn't.

Now Sarah.
And what ridiculous language she uses. I made a gigantic error of judgement, I am so contrite I cannot say blah blah.
Followed by a grovelling apology to him. "I know you feel hellaciously let down by me. I deeply apologise to you and your heart. I write this from the truth of my heart. You are a supreme friend"
She wouldn't know the truth if it hit her on the head with a hammer. She's a bad liar.
The pathetic excuse she is using is beyond comprehension. She didn't want to lose her childrens book income stream. She obviously thinks the public are stupid to believe this guff.
I just do not get why Charles and the rest of them indulge him, like recently at the DoK's funeral. Of course he should attend anything to do with the family.
But why in god's name can't Charles say...
No, you will NOT walk in with us. You will be seated in the Church when we arrive.
No, you will not leave the Church with us, you will leave by a seperate door
No, your ex wife of 30 years need not attend.

Neither of you will ever be on camera again.

Am sure the Queen (previous one) made Charles promise that Andrew would be well looked after, along the lines of, 'it is my wish...' as it's fairly obvious that Charles would probably love to cut him loose...

Tubestrike · 22/09/2025 19:37

Andrew and Sarah are a huge embarrassment to the RF , Charles could easily get one of his staff to tell them that they are no longer welcome at any public appearances , if he can't face doing it himself.

Maybe that should have happened?

It was just an excuse

Money from him. Andrew took contacts and more from him, they should be exposed.

So, everything should be covered up????

You think she knew everything that her adult son was doing? I doubt it. He is and was an adult who made his own decisions and choices in life. Let him be accountable for his actions instead of blaming it on the late Queen.

This is what’s wrong with society. No accountability. People always find someone else to blame!

She knew exactly how awful he was. People were telling her all the time. Andrew would not do anything to moderate his behaviour as he said he only answered to The Queen. She backed him up all the time, and coughed up to pay for his misdemeanours. She was his enabler extraordinaire. He got away with everything including treating her staff like dirt. She is absolutely complicit in turning him into who he was.

Thank you. Yes

He did say, as you've posted...I am only answerable to the Queen

This is on record when he was strongly advised to stay in the Consulate when visiting Epstein
He refused, quoting Mummy
