Actually I’ve reread her email to Epstein. There is a pleading tone. Maybe it wasn’t just about money - perhaps she was really trying to defend herself against legal action by him. Nevertheless it was completely ill advised and is only concerned with herself plus the whole tone of it is pretty strange, childish.

She’s sounds like she’s grovelling. It’s nauseating.

Had she been sued for defamation, the press would have had an absolute field day and that would have also gone down very badly indeed and exposed both her and Andrew and by extension the RF, to a great deal more scandal, surely?

I don’t think Meghan is a grifter, more of a hustler. She’s made of steel and will succeed despite all the hate she gets. I don’t actually like her very much but I do admire her ability to pivot and keep herself in the spotlight, making money that isn’t off the back of a convicted criminal.

It always saddens me on this section that there is thread after thread on M/H but H's father who actively supported a paedophile gets excuse after excuse for his behaviour. All children should be protected whether 7 or 16 / 17, regardless.

I’ve flip flopped a lot on MM, loved her at first, didn’t appreciate the documentary and Oprah interview and her tendency towards lying but now I’m thinking who in their right mind would stay in that awful family and subject their children to their skewed values. It's all about not being seen to do extreme wrong. It's the public knowing the truth that threatens the longevity of the RF. All the bad relationship and family infighting stories are mostly a panacea for the public.

You can argue she shouldn't have become compromised in the first place, but being so, what better action could she have taken to avoid it all potentially coming out? If Epstein had resentfully revealed how much money she had received?

I think she should have taken the consequences of her actions rather than pander to an evil man ‘s ego. Because he truly was evil.
