Yet more damaging revelations for the Yorks. How did the Daily Mail manage to get hold of the email I wonder?

And yet, it’s very clear that there might be all manner of embarrassing revelations to come in a number of different areas. A lot of known unknowns, and a lot of unknown unknowns. Quite the bind for Charles and William. However richly deserved it would be, I suspect part of them fears that booting Andrew out of the tent is a slippery slope toward there being no tent at all.

Marina Hyde has it in a nutshell. And that echoes what Andrew Lownie has said - the RF would be toast if all the revelations were to come out, especially when it comes to taxpayers' money.

I don't. They don't have to live in a 100 acre Royal Estate with 30 rooms, a chapel and multiple cottages. Other residences have been offered. They are all in it together I would imagine. Andrew is desperate to pass on the lease to the daughters.

OH cottages I wonder if they get the rent from them.

I read that the daughters had sold the house that they bought in London for mummy

Yes I think I read that somewhere too. And I think they made a loss on it or something. Given it's all smoke and mirrors I can't be bothered to check up on it!

padronpepper · 17/10/2025 16:19

She sold it last month for £3.8m - dropping £400000 in the 3 years since she bought it.

jumpingthehighjump · 17/10/2025 16:24

I can only presume she/they needed the money. It sounds very odd. Why would they do that otherwise?

padronpepper · 17/10/2025 16:27

Seemingly she had it rented out for 4k a week and the tenant asked to buy it. I'd say they need the money to fund the pile in Windsor Great Park.

It’s weird. If they’re so desperate for money then why not ask for market value?

justasking111 · 17/10/2025 16:33

I'd say that they maybe pulling assets out of the UK with Reeves budget coming up. Portugal would be a good place to invest, their tax laws for family and inheritance Etc are much better. And one of them live there.

jumpingthehighjump · 17/10/2025 16:54

It's the reverse of SouthYork which was sold for millions more than the asking price! Then left to rack and ruin, then bulldozed. Money laundering plain and simple with a nice little earner for Andy

Maybe Sarah sold the Mayfair gaff for less but took the rest in cash or something. Nothing would surprise me. I'd love to know how HMRC keep track of her.

Yes that was my thoughts too. Money laundering by their dodgy acqaintances, knowing nothing can touch them.

jumpingthehighjump · 17/10/2025 17:36

It's all so pathetic. He was awarded Order of the Garter in 2006, at least seven years after he met Epstein. QE2 continually awarded him with this that and the other even when his behaviour was dodgy.

So Charles now considering removing KG from Andrew means little. What is it anyway, just a pile of tripe to make someone like Andrew feel important, and get to dress up. It's a DM story so might well be fiction

meercat23 · 17/10/2025 18:15

In practical terms it would make little difference but it would be an important statement from the King. Let's hope there is truth in it.

TheAutumnalCrow · 17/10/2025 18:36

Express saying that Andrew is to give up his Duke of York title.

Hope that means the ghastly ‘York’ family all have to relinquish it.

meercat23 · 17/10/2025 18:37

Telegraph and Sun now reporting that he is to 'relinqish his Dukedom and Garter Knighthood' If this is true it is about time.

ThePoshUns · 17/10/2025 18:45

Great news, although it’s only symbolic. I’d love to see him cut off financially and thrown off the Windsor estate.

Lalgarh · 17/10/2025 19:01

Will he be Andrew Windsor from now on

SynysterGates · 17/10/2025 19:03

Saw that on the news , he will still be Prince though

padronpepper · 17/10/2025 19:14

So Sarah now reverts to Sarah Ferguson. No more Duchess for her.

Hopefully we wont have to hear about him any more whatever he is called and please no more gurning photographs on church steps.

Don’t hold your breath. The Chinese spy scandal has a lot of life left in it yet.

justasking111 · 17/10/2025 19:16

Well it's a start.

I’m wondering if his involvement is why the trial was halted?

Yes! I feel like the significance of this is extremely important yet being understated.
