I hope it's OK to start a new thread after the last one filled up

Every little thing he does is self promotion. It’s pitiful. His PR team are obviously trying really hard to rehabilitate him. All these ‘sources’ are more than likely to be his PR team.

Harry's comms team looks to me as though it's now going in the wrong direction. The meeting in London to pave the way to a reconciliation with Charles worked. The reconciliation appeared to go well. H was sensibly following the advice of the PR team. M kept out of the limelight. No more pregnant twerking or equivalent.

Then the comms team secured coverage in The Guardian of H's visit to Ukraine under the Invictus banner, an unexpected but clever choice. Harry then went rogue. I think he was briefed by Meredith to focus exclusively on veterans, building on the charitable visits he had just done in England, but he couldn't resist lobbing in comments about his father.

The briefings about a public reconciliation with KCIII and him attending some royal events bears the hallmark of M getting involved and giving orders to Meredith. Soon, Meredith will get frustrated and leave. I give it six months.

If he'd focussed on Invictus and the veterans it might have worked, at least for a while. He had to bring up his father and family, and then pull the Zelensky stunt.

That makes sense

Yup. Totally agree.

Charlotte Griffiths, who wrote that article, is one of the DM writers sympathetic to the Sussexes who regularly runs items sourced directly from them (the other is Bryony Gordon).

18 months ago (Feb 2024) the DM ran an article saying that the King had advised Prince William to spend time with his family now, as he had plenty of time in the future to do all the 'royal' stuff. Now they are criticising William. They say what they think will get them readers. I've no idea if either story is true.

I would love to hear what some of our resident PR people think of what is going on.

Edit to say: I haven't seen @GivemeSpanakopita for a while - is she still about? And I think @IdaGlossop has PR knowledge too

Yes I was wondering where @givemespanakopita had gone too.

It was reported at the weekend that Harry had put down Archie’s name for Eton however his spokesperson has swiftly denied that.
Of all the stuff flying around why does that need an official statement ?

Eton doesn't want to p*ss off William?

Also old-Etonian Harry was a bit of an embarrassment with the A-level coursework cheating scandal.

Also is Harry intending to have Archie tutored for school entrance? As Archie turns 7 in the current academic year and he would have to take the entrance exam at 10.

Needspaceforlego · 25/09/2025 19:08

Probably more than just William they are frightened of pissing off.
Keeping in mind H has told all sorts of stuff about all sorts of people including the staff member at Eton with sore knees who struggled on stairs.
Yes kids do stupid stuff but you don't tell the world that you and your mates were wee arses. His mates probably need to actually use their education and earn their own money.

Me too!

Harry did a few charity events which weren't exactly well publicised. The thing hyped by the papers was the Charles meeting which he came out of looking like thunder. The Daily Mail is like Harry's Cheer team at the moment. Are they the paper he still has a court case with? All the time whining that W&C are "boring" which is laughable.

The Guardian are also championing Harry's cause.

The Daily Express by contrast is providing a bit of balance.

Givemespanokopita was right. The HIHO PR at least for Harry is ramping up.

What is HIHO?

What is HIHO?

Half in, half out

They wanted to just pick and choose what they did and be able to fuck off and be glam and earn money and promote whatever they wanted, whilst keeping the privilege and prestige if being a working royal.
