Prince Harry's Wreath

So apparently Prince Harry has asked someone to lay a wreath on his behalf to honour the 80th anniversary of VJ Day.
I know the military meant a lot to him but he's being called out on it as he mentions his grandfather. I'd like to think he did this with the best intentions but the cynic in me wonders if he did it as a dig at William for only posting a message on social media.

Yes, all the while "but Andrew.." then there's a thread on Andrew which turned into a William and Kate bashing 😂

Lownie has alluded to something about the possibility of KC allegedly having a shared offshore account with PA

This is an interesting snippet. A has long been linked with offshore accounts, shell companies and nominees but there was uproar when the Paradise Papers revealed E2 was holding funds offshore.

If C3 is doing similar especially with disgraced A, it would seem to be yet another example of his questionable judgement.

My theory about Harold's silence on A is that the Yorks have given him tips on how best to maximise his Delaware registered operations and he's laid off them in return.

To be scrupulously fair to KC3, Lownie has been at pains to point out that he didn’t want PA appointed as trade envoy, as he thought it would lead to trouble!

Ahh but you see …”but Andrew..” is only reserved for Harry threads! 🙄

And as you know , I recently had two threads dedicated to discussing the new book and Andrew , it was surprising how many posters were not interested considering how often we are told “ but Andrew” !

Both of those threads filled up pretty fast and closed.

Tbh all this proves is that there are more posters who are royal supporters, than those of a republican persuasion, posting on these boards and starting threads. (Sorry for the crude labelling of groups for the sake of speed, I know the reality is much more nuanced than that.)

I agree that more republicans, or at least those who are critical of PA, ought to start more threads! I’ve seen one or two started today and I am sure more will filter through once the contents of Andrew Lownie’s book become more well known and widespread.

I'm glad you mentioned nuance, @Ploachedplorridge , because royalist or republican are very crude labels, and people have a variety of opinions and don't necessarily fall into one camp or another.
Also, you're wrong to say that "Republicans" are the ones most critical of Prince Andrew. When there were threads about him, those who appeared most hostile to royalty veered off to criticise W&K. Which was a shame.

Yes I mentioned nuance deliberately and I wasn’t one of the republicans who criticised K&W, in fact I’ve defended their right to take as much time off as they need for Catherine’s recovery, so I agree it’s best not to generalise.

Mildorado · 22/08/2025 12:35

Yes, I think criticism for the sake of it - either way - just limits the argument. We all had plenty to say about Andy and Fergie, I've no idea why that got so derailed.

I don't understand. The first thread filled up quickly, and a thread was started for those who have actually read the book and it is active, and ongoing, I've just posted on it!

Lots of posters are interested

Hardly! The thread for those who have read the book is nearly halfway through

@Ploachedplorridge "Prince Andrew was allegedly making pots of private cash for himself in side deals while representing the UK as a trade envoy. A better example of HIHO I cannot imagine!"

I've skipped many posts to post this so sorry if already discussed.

I had previously , probably naively , thought that the no HIHO was to do with E & Sophie , Ardent / fake sheik etc. But I wonder if it was in fact because of PA. Let me be clear I think the RF should allow access to documents which would she'd light on Andrew's shenanigans If they learned that lesson from PA and SF then a tiny baby step forward. But bigger steps need to be taken IMHO.
