My copy and paste has gone a bit awry for some reason!

Serenster · 14/07/2025 19:26

If it was team Sussex organising it and the Royal guy was surprised then I’d really question if he was up to the job. I think for both parties to sit outside they knew there’d be photos and wanted there to be.

It was a very out of the way location though! To get to where they met you walk down a narrow no-exit lane in St James, and then into a gated yard at the end of the lane. Then they were photographed having coffee at the back of the building, from the pathway that goes through Green Park. There are hedges and fences all the way down those back gardens that back onto Green Park (you can see this on Google street maps)

Clearly the photographer knew exactly they would be. There is no way a random photographer hangs out on a no thoroughfare lane on the off-chance someone of interest wanders down it, and then runs all the way round to Green Park and finds a gap in the foliage on the off-chance they walk through the building and sit out the back. And what random paparazzi would recognise communications staff for two different royals?

Oooohhh look at the rage on display right here....

Yes I am really pissed off, I own it unlike you.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 14/07/2025 19:34

And my “rage” as you like to call it is directed at Harry unlike your rage which is personal and directed at myself and other posters on here, massive difference @Spectre8

NewAgeNewMe · 14/07/2025 19:37

Perhaps Charles is more unwell than is known and wants to meet up with his son. TBH I can’t say I blame him as a parent. But he’s not just a parent, he’s head of state and his other son at some point will also be head of state, and Charles has responsibilities there.

But I’d also like to repeat what I and others have said. We only see reconciliation talks with the RF and never with the Markle side. Cynical? Moi? 🤔

Vespanest · 14/07/2025 19:38

I think for Harry, he would want further involvement with the branching out of Invictus. He would be UK funded to do engagements similar to the Nigeria visit, which was supposedly an Invictus visit but blink and you miss it. I still have no idea how a broke Birmingham won the bid. The problem is with Invictus it would be an abuse of money to fund Harry in the same way as the UK tax payer if they funded it. I seriously doubt a Harry and Meghan return to the uk. The other problem Harry has got is that he believes what he says is important instead of understanding what he says needs to be diplomatic. Surely even their supporters see that Harry is a weak link with limited talent to offer, especially without the perks of royalty.

The palace PR machine managed to turn people's opinion of Camilla around but I think it would take a whole lot more to ingratiate H&M back into the affection of the British public and I don't think either of them are capable of taking advice on how to behave in order for this to happen.

I think the make-or-break issue which will prevent re-instatement to royal life is the security angle. Harry (and definitely Meghan) can’t ever be trusted again.

Meghan clearly hated Britain and loathes her in laws. Harry has no loyalty at all, no discretion and no idea what it actually means to be a Royal.

The pair of them just use it to make money.

Absolutely. Re Camilla , we hadn't really seen her at public engagements to see how she behaved , we hadn't heard her speak either (in an official capacity) . It turns out, that she's actually quite good at public engagements etc, she knows how to behave (despite being a bit of a giggler) and she didn't go blabbing to the press.
We have however , heard an awful lot from H&M , seen their poor behaviour, heard their lies and hurtful words and they have proven to be untrustworthy .

@AtIusvue, off topic but while doing my wall leg exercises, I suddenly thought about you and the sterling job you did watching and narrating wlm for us !
it was the most entertaining and funny thing, your responses were gold !
and after inadvertently having clips shoved at me , far superior to the actual program!

LadyJaneGrey18 · 14/07/2025 17:46

All to make the point that she’s Terribly Important Don’t You Know.

As an aside, I would really like to know how the conversation around that incident went. When she told whomever ( and who was it she told?) to clear the rows... Did they just jump to and do it? Did the ticketholders not remonstrate? Did the officials decide not to invervene?
As a demonstration of the kind of royal power the royals don't ever deploy in the UK any more, that American sure showed the royals how to royal.
But also demonstrated the power of the BF to command that forelock-tugging that H&M supporters here always ascribe to W&C supporters.

Wasn’t one of my wisest decisions watching WLM, but if I was going down I was taking you all with me!

And yet Catherine managed to sit courtside no problem!

Profhilodisaster · 14/07/2025 20:34

@Mylovelygreendress it just makes Meghan look ridiculous.

Vespanest · 14/07/2025 20:36

Harry doesn't only have to change the minds of the UK public, he has to change the minds of those who support him and even more difficult those who support Meghan especially if this is him only. I haven't seen much on social media but one thread had "we don't want you back Harry" the response back "he hasn't said he wants to go back to the shithole racist country". That is not a hill that Camilla had to climb. He cannot appease both sides. People who have joined Harry team, believe what Harry has disclosed.

I don’t really like the (I think, American in origin?) use of the word ‘class’, or ‘classy’ to describe courteous or well-bred behaviour. It implies only people of a certain social class can be expected to behave well…

But! I find it impossible not to use those terms with reference to Meghan and Catherine. Cliched though it sounds, Catherine just exudes class in her public duties. She never tries to dominate or push herself forward and makes sure that attention is focused on others. Her demeanour at Wimbledon, for eg, where the SS have tried to claim she ‘makes it all about her’, couldn’t be more modest and self-effacing - even shy. As she enters Centre Court it’s clear she’s slightly embarrassed by the adulation.

Compare and contrast with Meghan, whose Wimbledon conduct was rude, crass, self-aggrandising and frankly, vulgar.

I don’t know how the SS manage to twist reality to fit their creed in view of this kind of behaviour.

Presumably the SS are similarly rude crass and vulgar if that is the behaviour they emulate and admire. They certainly seem largely illiterate.

Harry’s sources talking to VF….of all publications

https://www.vanityfair.com/style/story/inside-the-rapprochement-meeting-between-king-charles-and-prince-harrys-press-teams

  • It was Harry that asked for the meeting (no shit)
  • As predicted, he wants to change that narrative around the type of stories written about him (era of joy anyone?)

The guy is so see through. It’s just to rehabilitate his image….nothing else. He’s not apologised for his behaviour. It’s just- he wants to move on, he wants stop fighting etc. This is because he’s tired of stories about the strained relationships with the RF being the only thing people are interested in.

It’s all just part of his future commercial venture and he needs a new positive image to sell whatever crap he’s going to flog. Just like Meg pivoted to her joy era. Harry is in his forgiveness tour.

Inside the “Rapprochement” Meeting Between King Charles and Prince Harry’s Press Teams

The king and his younger son have had a rocky relationship for years, but last week, the pair’s proxies had a summit over drinks. “Harry’s hope is that there will be another meeting,” a source told Vanity Fair.

AtIusvue · 14/07/2025 21:07

Making it more obvious that the Sussex’s team called the papa. This is about Harry rehabilitating his image for commercial gain.

Mylovelygreendress · 14/07/2025 21:13

I have said it before but I am going to repeat that I am convinced Meghan leaked the story to try to scupper any return to the RF .
