If (unlikely if) this has been a set up by the royal family to make it look like a Harry leak and Harry unable to not clap back with his sources, making him look guilty with every press relief, then it's been a stroke of genius.

Charles will understandably want to be reconciled with his son. The King as Head of State has a duty to keep threats to the monarchy at bay. Someone is going to have to negotiate very delicately to manage those two conflicting interests.

This may have been mentioned- I haven’t RTFT- but could it be BP who have set up the pap, knowing that everyone will presume it was team Sussex? So they can say to Charles “look we tried to start talks with Harry like you asked but you just can’t trust him”?

If it was team Sussex organising it and the Royal guy was surprised then I’d really question if he was up to the job. I think for both parties to sit outside they knew there’d be photos and wanted there to be.

Thanks. That A.N Wilson article was sort of saying the same as Givemespanakopita. I think they were most dangerous just after they had left and that they have become a bit of a joke since. I think the media treats the estrangement like a soap opera source of drama which they'll enjoy reporting on for years to come (Harry has done his kids no favours by using the Prince/ss titles because it makes legitimate 'public interest' arguments in the future). But I don't think any of this will hurt the monarchy.

Saying let them be part time royals. Well they tried that and the press commenting on her writing affirmations on bananas being sent out to sex workers and other such issues, left Meg feeling suicidal and they had to flee.

Just how the fuck would they cope with the public and the press if they came back, after all they’ve done. It wasn’t just attacking the RF. They attacked the British public, repeatedly.

They wouldn’t release pics of Archie until they were in SA- because why would they reveal pics to racists in the UK. They wouldn’t send their kids to British schools because it’s so dangerous with the public and paps. Harry claiming he can never return to the UK with his family- because the place is so god damn dangerous. Complaining about the British tabloids….which they know is read by the British public etc

Thank you @BigWillyLittleTodger and @TheAutumnCrow . I read the AN Wilson article. He gets much wrong but especially I think that the feud between the brothers is festering and furious. I don't get that impression from W's side, more so from H's. By all accounts W has stopped thinking about his brother, not worth the effort.
There is no need at all to bring H&M back into the RF fold in the sense of working Royals. Too unpopular to step back into it & any half , quarter whatever in is surely off any table. Let Charles privately reconcile with Harry and his grandchildren. Anything which is not private I honestly think would be a mistake.

The palace PR machine managed to turn people's opinion of Camilla around but I think it would take a whole lot more to ingratiate H&M back into the affection of the British public and I don't think either of them are capable of taking advice on how to behave in order for this to happen.
