What’s hurtful, is that Harry has behaved so badly that Charles feels this way. I think many of us would draw the same conclusion and feel exactly the same. It’s shameful but not on Charles’ part, this is on Harry.

They’re dead ducks as far as the important RF members are concerned. They’ve attacked all 4 of them cruelly and irrevocably.

But it’s the security issue which as really slammed the door for H&M. The certainly cannot be trusted in an official capacity again and not within the family either because of their nasty, spiteful blabbering to anyone who would pay them.

A Head of State isn't going to send a high-level aide to meet with those working on behalf of his notoriously indiscreet estranged son without having a very clear idea of what the meeting would entail.

The security issue.
If they came back as working royals, or even as non-working royals, from the fuss H has made over the pat 5 years, they'd expect 24/7/365 security. Of the sort that even DoE and Princess Anne don't get.
I don't want to pay for a fleet of Met officers to guard H down at the pub, M at Soho House, and the children at school 24/7365.

I find it interesting that H and M have apparently said they are frustrated about those photos being released. They are basically inferring it’s the palace so we are back to the old allegations of leaking and planting. It’s interesting that the woman who had flown in from the US had her back to the camera, while the man from BP looks like he’s spotted the camera and isn’t very happy about it.

The senior royals have had a pretty good week. Successful French state visit with lots of glamour and ceremony. Catherine looking great at Wimbledon. George's birthday and Balmoral coming up. What reason would they have to bring Harry and all his mess back into the picture?

On the other hand, the Sussexes and Harry in particular have very little going on, and I suspect money - or the lack thereof - is a pressing issue. So I could easily see why they'd want to hint at a 'reconciliation'.

If Meredith Maines really is in the UK to meet a variety of Harry-adjacent people, the agenda for her meeting with KCIII's aide could be quite long: return to UK - sounding out and private H-only trip to Balmoral; Invictus 2027 - UK-based Royal attendance; access to funds in trust; use of HRH and possible removal of titles; KCIII funeral planning; H future publishing plan; H&M future Netflix

A lot of H&M fans like them because they perceive them to have 'broken free' and believe this to be because of their poor treatment by the RF. Reconciling would surely switch a lot of those people off and make them realise how disingenuous the whole freedom flight and subsequent campaign of 'truth' has been if they are keen to make amends- they've backed themselves into a corner imo. Royalists wont welcome them back, but their fans will also be critical of a reconciliation.

The statement saying H&M arent happy about this leak shows very much which party ensured it made the papers...and it isnt the RF.
