What to make of this??

They're racking up expenses with that crazy lifestyle, and they've got to think about school fees, so the Bank of Pa is needed.

The kids are already at school I presume. She’s mentioned school a few times. God forbid they should go to free schools like the common people!

The only evidence I can see for the Sussexes being the leakers is that royal family have been busy with a State visit this week and it's Wimbledon plus the King has been lots of visits. I don't think they would like the clash of comms so soon plus the State visit gave them cover for a private meeting whilst the media was looking elsewhere. But that is supposition not fact.

I'm thinking it gets more pricey beyond the infants age.

I hope this isn’t true. I can’t bear the thought of H and M reconciling with the RF and returning to the UK in any capacity.

I doubt it’s true. There’s no going back after what they’ve done and the trust which is absolutely essential is gone for ever.

Please stay in the US, Harry and Meghan, and be happy with your lives there.

I think @BemusedAmerican's take on this makes sense - including the 10 minutes on the balcony giving the chance for Harry to prove whether he could be trusted not to leak (otherwise I can see no point for being on the balcony at all).

To me it does show that the King would like reconciliation (agreeing to the meeting at all in a busy week) but isn't stupid enough to believe that it's likely to happen - or at least not at the first time of asking.

I do think the leak is most likely to have come from the Sussex camp - for the reason above; because there's no benefit to the RF from the leak and there is to the Sussexes (headlines, distraction); and because the photographer credited is a DM New York photographer (mentioned by poster upthread, sorry can't remember who)

I don’t see how H&M or even just Harry could make a triumphant return. They detested doing the grunt work - the Tuesday opening of a community centre in Newport Pagnell: I think the public would be throwing rotten tomatoes. And no way can they ponce along to state dinners or wave from the balcony.

They’ve either run out of money (their idea of running out, that is) or Harry needs to be parachuted back to a remote location to save face for all concerned.

It’s just been announced that the Prince and Princess of Wales will attend the men’s Wimbledon final today. This story already looking like old news. I agree with you @CoffeeCantata. They need to stay in the US and continue to “live their best lives”.

I cannot imagine William is onboard . No way would he allow Catherine to be close to the poisonous duo .
And Meghan won’t tolerate walking behind Catherine .

Montecito has an excellent school system paid for by local property taxes. If they send the kids to the local schools, they just have to give them lunch money and some cash for school trips. If the kids do sports, then team jerseys. It will do the kids good to meet more of a diverse student population.

And you think the same about the Wales kids...God forbid they go to free schools like common people.

I don’t think that Meghan wants a return to the UK or will ever want a return so the leak is by Harry. I think that Meghan will prefer living in the US and focusing on her business and other future plans while her moody husband could do with a purpose to his life and may be easier to deal with if he’s out of her hair.

The Montecito Community isn't very diverse, if The Telegraph journalist who reported from there is to be believed. White people living in mansions served by black people working in shops, restaurants and their homes.

They can't afford the lifestyle they have. They need bank of Pa and a long term arrangement.

This meeting is probably just another version of Harry making sure the Queen 'has the right people around her' ie. anyone around who could potentially put a spanner in the works or prevent him from getting what he feels he is entitled to financially in the future (only now it's not the grey suits he is concerned about its the keeper of the purse strings once pa is no longer around, William).

Totally different situation. H and M wanted to be free of their shackles, free to make their own money and live on luxury in another country. It hasn’t quite turned out like that.

It's the threat of even being in the presence of Harry. Take the royal racist, but not racist, but maybe unconscious bias story. There is no way of proving or disproving a conversation unless it's recorded and even then you can't prove a negative. But this story is stated as fact, even though there was no context given and still appears frequently if not weekly. Mainly towards Catherine, rarely about Charles. That's the danger for William even if his family never privately speak to Harry again. Should Charles and William decide to make some sort of connection then they do so knowing Catherine will be collateral damage. Even if they stories are made up press releases or disgruntled supporters.

I highly doubt this was a secret meeting regarding any form of reconciliation with Harry. For one thing, if it involved secret talks, it wouldn't take place on a balcony where it could be photographed by the press, having been tipped off by H & M, no doubt. The RF are much smarter than that.

In addition, what would the RF gain from this reconciliation? H & M are very unpopular in the UK, one of the reasons being they're regarded as untrustworthy and anti RF.
They happily burnt their bridges, it's too late now for a "reconciliation."

Well they are free, they are living where they want to. They are making money how they choose to. They are living on luxury judging by the house they have etc. So what hasnt turned out for them then? Your version of what that all means?

Excellent ratings, very low teacher to student ratio, surprisingly diverse student population. The proficiency levels are double my local elementary schools.

Well @Spectre8 , the meeting must have been about something. I doubt Meredith wotsit flew over from the US to tell a palace aide that Meghan and Harry are living their best life…
