As per the DM, we are told Meg is using Fairwinds Estate winery for her rose. Sounds nice.
But a Reddit user has discovered, that Fairwinds winery is just a brand under the umbrella of Wine gift shop. They do corporate gifts and print on demand. Oh Meg, as ever

I may be enabling here but I picked up a couple of vintage macrame owls on eBay fairly reasonably although prices seems a bit higher now. I've no doubt vintage macrame pot holders are equally obtainable.

My vintage Mateus bottle was 20p in a jumble sale. One of my favourite bargains 😁

Just seen this post - enable away! And thank you 🙏

My hose arrived and I have spent an enjoyable couple of hours watering my garden and testing out the different nozzle settings 🙂

Living the life :). Who needs lots of money ...

America has 3 massive summer party days, Memorial Day in May, Independence Day in July and Labor Day in September. Almost everyone either hosts or attends a party, where alcohol is generally served alongside other beverages.

IMHO, this looks like the following:
-business collects money from customers
-follows up with the usual PR puffery of "sold-out" with no facts or data to support
-orders are placed for excess inventory leftover from 4th of July sales to be relabeled
-goods are then shipped on the 9th of July

It makes zero sense to ship after 4th of July. This is not a business, it is a vanity exercise.

Wundy · 02/07/2025 00:04

I don't understand either what it is about Meghan that inspires such devotion. I mean she doesn't kill kittens or mug old ladies (that we know of) but that's about the best I can do 🤷‍♀️

It surely can't be a surprise to anyone that her popularity has tanked - more and more people have caught on, there are more and more of her lies being exposed, there are more and more scathing articles in the papers and on social media.

Do her fans just think that all these people are lying and that only they, the true believers, know the truth? How do they explain away all the criticism? (Apart from saying that everyones's jealous and racist). I really don't get it.

Vespanest · 02/07/2025 01:02

If meghan did plan on creating a business to sell her supporters are doing a lousy job for her. What would be the point of buying a brand that's it's unique selling point is people will buy anything as long as you stick a label on it. Without the proceeds going to Meghan the supporter have no need to buy anything. Just as those who review everything as 1 out of 5 probably have a bias it's the same with the 5 out of 5 they offer no insight to potential investors/buyers

BemusedAmerican · 02/07/2025 01:08

Just caught up on thread. Day of hell at work.

The really devoted Megjan fan earlier mentioned that she had been active in the Supernatural fandom.

As every Supernatural fan knows, it's possible to cut a deal with a Crossroads Demon for the desire of your heart. After 10 years, the deal comes due.

Just saying...😝

Most people drink beer or cider at BBQ's. There's a reason Angry Orchard is doing so well.

StartupRepair · 02/07/2025 01:17

I can't get past 'Cheers to July 1st'. I thought it was a parody.

Er... where's Crowley when you need him, eh?

Uricon2 · 02/07/2025 01:51

What Crowley would make of the Montecito Two I can only guess. Much swearing. Much destruction.

BemusedAmerican · 02/07/2025 02:10

Do you remember the episode where Crowley turned Hell into a perpetual line where your number never comes up?

SS Hell is where you keep refreshing the As Ever website and nothing is ever in stock.

I firmly agree that beer and cider rule the Independence Day roost accounting for over 60% of all alcohol sales.

But many people also have some wine and champagne available for later in the evening as sunset approaches and the fireworks start as evidenced by $536 million sales of wine for 4th of July in 2023.

IMHO, it does not make sense to miss this key date and ship after a big holiday, if indeed the business is meant to be credible.

Wow, I had no idea that the wine sales were so high! You've convinced me.

However, I can't but believe that ICE raids are disrupting the label- applying workforce.

Weepixie · 02/07/2025 04:31

I reckon some of them are now so caught up in it all that they can't back away for fear of incurring the wrath of the others

To the extent I’m quite convinced some of them will even let another squaddie take over their posting if they’ve made a particularly bad job of trying to get an important message across and their fellow squaddies/fandom members are rather peed off with them.

Or, they tag team posting in the first place as a squaddie/fandom strategy but a mistake is made when they’re paired up/pair up together and others have learned a bit more about how these kind of groups work.

Part of the fascination of Harry and Meghan is the fan base, it feeds everything else. I much prefer the out and proud supporters than the "I'm not a Meghan fan, but she's great and Kate's a bitch and I'll defend her no matter how stupid". I may not understand why someone will willingly support someone as grown adults. Grown women on Twitter buying wine and stating they don't drink to show support to a woman who has told them she is extremely wealthy. If you honestly believe she's selling tens if not hundreds of thousands of stock then you don't need to buy everything. I however do think it's fruitless for a supporter to explain why as I don't think I and maybe others could ever comprehend the reasoning of adoration no matter what that person does.

Edited

Well you can equally say people would much prefer those who just admit they hate her and love to bitch and gossip about her instead of those hiding behind the its just criticism line. 💁‍♀️

I've tried for a green/rust decor with my beloved Doulton Lambeth pots on most surfaces 😂

Working around my DH's hospital bed but I want him to have a lovely environment.

Uricon - high five! I too have a collection (pretentious, moi?) of DL assembled over the years from charity shops and eBay etc. Not expensive because I think they’re out of fashion compared to ruddy overrated Clarice Cliffe etc, and some have chips and cracks, but I bought them because I love them, not as an investment. Anything from under a fiver to around fifty quid. They are beautiful but my children have expressed the intention of throwing them in a skip when I’m gone.

I’m i hoping to refine their taste before then…😄🧐

I buy Kylie's wine occasionally, when it is on offer, it's actually really nice too, but she also promotes it, I went to see her last month and you could buy it there, expensive for one small bottle, but hey I was going to see Kylie, and it's so much more affordable than what Meghan is selling.

I had some of Kylie’s rose Prosecco and although I started off snootily sneering at the concept….actually it was delicious. I went back for more, and I can usually take or leave Prosecco.

That’s entirely my point upthread. The most I ever get when I ask what is so marvellous about her is basically “What harm does she do?”. ( I think personally that she’s done untold harm, but hey.)

This weedy reason does not explain the blind adulation or, as pps say, the declared wish to make a multi-millionaire even more wealthy by giving her the contents of your piggy-bank. It’s a psychological phenomenon and it’s grimly fascinating.

sleetysnowflakes · 02/07/2025 07:33

I actually wonder how ironically many of these passionate devotees actually damage Meghan’s prospects in the long run. When brands and individuals have had minor run-ins with her (sometimes just an interview or anything less than gushing praise) there have been instances of online abuse, poor google reviews etc. Those who have had their fingers burned in the past have either seemed to try to smooth it over (like gwyneths pie video), grey rock (like the RF) or stand up to it and refuse to fawn (like Sophie the chair of sentebale) with varying results. I wonder if this eventually limits the brands and celebrities who are willing to work with her, whether there is just too much risk of bad PR by association. And yet she has never called out this behaviour so seems either complicit or powerless to actually control it.

and as we can see attack is the best form of defence for them.
