As per the DM, we are told Meg is using Fairwinds Estate winery for her rose. Sounds nice.
But a Reddit user has discovered, that Fairwinds winery is just a brand under the umbrella of Wine gift shop. They do corporate gifts and print on demand. Oh Meg, as ever

I think that members of the Sussex Squad would struggle to explain why they are so fanatical about her. I reckon some of them are now so caught up in it all that they can't back away for fear of incurring the wrath of the others.

I think that’s true - some of them have become deeply invested in the myth of Meghan and cannot give it up. They are in denial and since their image of Meghan cannot change, reality has to bend and warp to accommodate it. This is what I see on Celebitchy.

RandyRedHumpback · 01/07/2025 21:30

Ask anyone who leaves a cult how difficult the members make it for them to go peacefully. This is the sort of experience described by the former MM fans who have realised they were worshiping a false idol.

Uricon2 · 01/07/2025 21:38

@CurlewKate I would be genuinely interested too. When the engagement was announced, I thought she would be a massive asset to the RF and as long as Harry and she were in love, it was all good.

Following years have been very difficult to navigate in terms of what they've done, for many of us.

Well no, that's not the 'only difference'.

Out of curiosity I had a look at Kylie's website. There's loads of information about the provenance of the wine, tasting notes, pairing suggestions and the like. Also, you can pick up a bottle for maybe a tenner - or less if there's an offer - while getting the groceries, and knock it back that very evening. If you don't like it, no real harm done.

Quite different from having to pay above the odds to buy multiple bottles of a wine you know nothing about, pay delivery costs and wait around for several days for it to turn up, and in your case, get your relatives to use their entire luggage allowance hauling it across the Atlantic.

All this, just to 'support' a twerking duchess?

Edited

I buy Kylie's wine occasionally, when it is on offer, it's actually really nice too, but she also promotes it, I went to see her last month and you could buy it there, expensive for one small bottle, but hey I was going to see Kylie, and it's so much more affordable than what Meghan is selling.

For some reason I keep getting ads for Dolly Parton wine today! 😂

If Dolly Parton bottled flat pop, I'd still buy it. I love her and all she stands for!

My hose arrived and I have spent an enjoyable couple of hours watering my garden and testing out the different nozzle settings 🙂

I love our hose, the only problem is the dog trying to take it out of my hands 😂

Meghan and Harry employ so many people with serious indeed grandiose job titles. How can a few sales events a year bring in enough income to cover what must be a huge salary bill? They surely need money streaming in every week, not every few months.

Mourning the Mateus bottle of yore.

I don't like midcentury modern, possibly because I was brought up by "trendy" parents who embraced it. I'm an Arts and Crafts girl, loving the despised brown furniture!

I absolutely love Arts and Crafts era stuff too. My ideal home would be an eceletic mix of the two!

I enjoy the mid century aesthetic though and rescued the Ercol furniture.

I (ridiculously) turned down the mid century (not Ercol thankfully but still good) corner combo DM was clearing which led to her donating them to her church.

They were subsequently destroyed in a fire which still rankles 😡

Noooooooooo. I would be gutted as well. It does make me feel a touch better about the owls!

I really don't think they 'employ' these people full time. They are only hired on a consultancy basis. Still costly of course.

Most businesses take years to break even so I can't see how 'dropping' a few random every products every 3 months is going to make any money at all.

Yes it's sunk costs at this stage. They've invested in Meghan - emotionally and now in some cases financially through her silly products - and don't want to admit, even to themselves, that they've been sold a dud. And being part of an echo chamber 'fandom' might be a camaraderie of sorts.

If you'd told them 5 years ago that Meghan would now be selling white-labelled tat online and wiggling her bum for Instagram likes, I'm not sure they'd have invested so much emotional energy into building her up as their idol. But they have.

I’m not convinced that they have much stock at all. What happened to the honey in the initial drop? The raspberry spread. None of this turned up on any re sale sites. The apricot mush has been purchased but not dispatched to everyone who has parted with their cash and has rather randomly appeared on eBay. It will be interesting to see if the wine turns up. I reckon the units sold only run in to the few hundreds at most. And even that I feel is a generous estimate 🤷‍♀️

Theres rumours that James Holt, who has recently returned to the UK to live, will be another one who jumps ship.

It's interesting, isn't it that both the apricot spread and the limited edition orange blossom honey have appeared on eBay. All of a sudden, 5 sellers all with new listings relating to the last drop. But no empty (or full) raspberry jars or keepsake boxes being sold on, no older listings from the first drop. I think your original summation (and mine), of this being an organised clap back in answer to those critics pointing out the suspicious lack of eBay sales, was about right.

Me too! That’s the style I’ve decorated and furnished in - almost all from antique(junk!😃) shops and eBay.

It also seems to have been at the expense of actual customers receiving their (paid for) apricot spread 🤷‍♀️

Vespanest · 01/07/2025 22:44

I see the James Holt as trying to get to William through Jason to open lines of communication. If James resigns it would be for a new field as there is no way he'd be trusted in anything the royal family related. Time will tell with Archewell and therefore his future, at present the two main donors were benefiting from USAID so may not be as generous in the future. I don't know Charles health but I do think Harry is concerned that he's running out of time.

I can't see when the listings were posted on the eBay app but I agree, if people bought the stuff specifically to make a profit by selling on eBay then the first release of the raspberry spread would be on there.
Someone has been looking at the comments on SM and this is definitely a clap back.

Exactly, David Beckham had to bail out Victoria’s company, if she has had trouble keeping her business afloat without his intervention I don’t know see how Meghan’s amateur operation will ever turn a profit.

BasiliskStare · 01/07/2025 23:15

RandyRedHumpback · 01/07/2025 18:24

Oh absolutely! As also illustrated in Downton Abbey. But if Lady Elizabeth Anson's account is to be believed (and I do believe her), Meghan was as ruthless as Bertha Russell. No fortune to bring to the table, but no shortage of single minded social climbing.

I tend to believe it as well.
I can't remember which poster it was and I am going to wildly misquote here but it was along the lines of Camilla puts up with the attention and the fanfare to have the husband - Meghan puts up with the husband to have the attention and the fanfare.

Who knows.

I've tried for a green/rust decor with my beloved Doulton Lambeth pots on most surfaces 😂

Working around my DH's hospital bed but I want him to have a lovely environment.

It must be friends or squaddies selling the orange blossom honey on Ebay because wasn't it "sold out" as soon as the site went live that day? Must be someone with connections to Meghan who managed to get some but is selling it instead of reviewing it.

Vespanest · 01/07/2025 23:36

Part of the fascination of Harry and Meghan is the fan base, it feeds everything else. I much prefer the out and proud supporters than the "I'm not a Meghan fan, but she's great and Kate's a bitch and I'll defend her no matter how stupid". I may not understand why someone will willingly support someone as grown adults. Grown women on Twitter buying wine and stating they don't drink to show support to a woman who has told them she is extremely wealthy. If you honestly believe she's selling tens if not hundreds of thousands of stock then you don't need to buy everything. I however do think it's fruitless for a supporter to explain why as I don't think I and maybe others could ever comprehend the reasoning of adoration no matter what that person does.
