As per the DM, we are told Meg is using Fairwinds Estate winery for her rose. Sounds nice.
But a Reddit user has discovered, that Fairwinds winery is just a brand under the umbrella of Wine gift shop. They do corporate gifts and print on demand. Oh Meg, as ever

Are The Mail taking articles directly from the comments here now?

I've never heard of any commercial outfit trading in such a ramshackle way.

This comment from the article was a lot.

"One wrote: 'I know most people will be sad getting this message but this makes me so happy! Meghan is selling out and I couldn’t be happier for her!!

'I don’t even want my refund, I just genuinely want Meghan to know she is so loved!'"

?????
they know she is rich in comparison to them ?
sounds very cult like “ how much she is loved “

This is what I mean. It's a cult. Saint worship. The 'products' almost have the status of holy relics, not something so mundane as watery gloop to put on bread.

As I keep saying, 'As Ever' isn't a business. It's an ego trip. It's basically exploiting all those adoring fans, not genuinely trying to appeal to a broader public.

I wouldn't buy anything from any celebrity, no matter how much i liked them. It comes down to the product for me every time.

It’s wine day. Just over an hour and thirty minutes to go.

It will be interesting to see if everyone’s orders turn up 🤷‍♀️

RandyRedHumpback · 01/07/2025 14:38

Hmm, had a poke around the selling on eBay. Even more suspicious now.

I do agree.

Once was bad enough, a repeat during the second drop is careless. Extremely frustrating.

I’m taking my chances still.

I thought that was photoshopped, is there a link?

Maybe there's a gap in the market now Keith Ranieri is in jail.

Do you know how to use the internet? It's called eBay.

StrawberryWasp · 01/07/2025 14:47

I just don't understand cults.

I mean I like the Princess of Wales or Kate Bush but I wouldn't their wine.
I'd think: what are thedoing flogging random wine?

To buy something because a celebrity is selling it seems like actual madness to me.
I'd only do this if I'd heard multiple times the product was great.

I did years ago buy Britney Spears perfume which obviously I was able to try first after itwasrecommend. I still wear it and often get asked what it is as people like it. It's very embarrassing to admit what it is 🤣

I'd feel the same about Ms wine. If I heard it was like a cheaper Villa Maria I might try it to see if it was true. But I'd be embarrassed when I admitted to my guests it was Meghan Markle wine!

Instead I suspect it's going to be a worse but more expensive version of the wines I like. So why bother?

Are there enough cult members who'll buy anything with her name on to sustain a business ?
It's a fascinating phenomenon.
Who are these people? Why do they love her to an insane level that they'll just give her their money?

Maybe next time our Megs can create Steak Diana á la Paris Ritz to celebrate 1st July.

Steak Diana but elevated with a dash of As Ever rosè over the steak .... and a few flower sprinkles

I admit to being a stick in the mud but I don’t really condone day drinking unless there’s a reason.

Profhilodisaster · 01/07/2025 14:48

She can't be in this to genuinely make money, it's so shoddy.

She was originally going to sell in farmers markets before Netflix joined up. It has been a messy roll out for sure.

Sell what in Farmers Markets? Her products are not artisanal 🤷‍♀️

Definitely a cult, absolutely unhinged.

That was a bistro classic wasn’t it? Red gingham table cloth and a bottle of Mateus Rosé with the drips of many candles cascading down the sides. No wonder we are side eyeing the Megeus Rosé. I appreciate things have moved on.

Edited to add I’m now thinking there might be a market for macramé pot hangers.

Edited

I've been trying to embrace 70's decor since I moved a couple of years ago to a house built in 1969. I'd LOVE macrame pot holders and many Mateus Rose bottles (not necessarily empty ones) to throw about the place :)

Didn't Meghan say her and the kids sold vegetables at a farmers market . I think it was proved to be another fib as they didn't have the necessary license (someone checked)

RandyRedHumpback · 01/07/2025 14:57

Plenty of vintage Mateus bottles on eBay @Wundy !
