As per the DM, we are told Meg is using Fairwinds Estate winery for her rose. Sounds nice.
But a Reddit user has discovered, that Fairwinds winery is just a brand under the umbrella of Wine gift shop. They do corporate gifts and print on demand. Oh Meg, as ever

Ah memories . Prawn cocktail , sole Veronique and Black Forest gateau !
Those were the days .

It was always steak Diane for me . I did have a picture of Sole Veronique on the front of my school cookery folder though- I think it had grapes on it .

onehorserace · 01/07/2025 11:58

If anyone wants a REAL SUSSEX rose then this is one of several outstanding ones https://bolneywineestate.com/product-category/english-wine/english-rose-wine

Yes , served with grapes and washed down with Blue Nun or Black Tower wine .

Puzzledandpissedoff · 01/07/2025 12:14

Amazingly they still make Blue Nun, though I'm not sure if it's available in the UK: bluenun.wine/

Black Tower and Mateus Rose are still sold too, though they've changed the Mateus bottle, dammit, so there goes the terribly stylish candle stuck in it Grin

BasiliskStare · 01/07/2025 12:22

Mylovelygreendress · 01/07/2025 10:54

Did anyone else use an empty Mateus Rose bottle to hold a candle ?

For use in a power cut when the lamps made from chianti bottles in raffia baskets were out of action.

RandyRedHumpback · 01/07/2025 12:29

I assume there's not a lot of cheap, white label orange wine available. Also Meghan has to attach a story to everything. Pancakes are about her school trip to France, shortbread about her time in England etc. She had her "Tig" wine story already. She'd have to make up something new to suggest she's wanted to produce orange wine since she was 11.

Hoolahoophop · 01/07/2025 12:33

My Nan used to buy Mum and Dad blue Nun every year for their wedding anniversary. I thought it was very posh.

Mylovelygreendress · 01/07/2025 11:27

We served this at our wedding.

MaturingCheeseball · 01/07/2025 12:49

@RandyRedHumpback backpacking in France, no less ! Has anyone debunked this backpacking business because I for one think it is complete and utter bollocks.

Profhilodisaster · 01/07/2025 13:07

Not sure if this has been mentioned already but is the reason Meghan hasn't restocked because the jam, honey , sprinkles didn't sell very well and is going to keep releasing new stuff until she finds something that is popular.

IIRC, she travelled in the UK and parts of Europe with childhood friend, Ninaki Priddy, and the latter's parents. I'm pretty sure I have seen some home video/photos. Not backpacking (I don't think). But who knows whether any of this stuff is true or guff?

Maybe next time our Megs can create Steak Diana á la Paris Ritz to celebrate 1st July.

myrtleWilson · 01/07/2025 13:43

there is a lovely Gizzi Erskine recipe of chicken cooked in orange wine

And Irish coffee, peach Melba and chicken in a basket……those were the days!
The Berni Inn meal was a real treat for me 😋 @Puzzledandpissedoff

Profhilodisaster · 01/07/2025 13:58

It was always melon with twisted orange slice and cherry on a cocktail stick , prawn cocktail or fruit cocktail as starters when we went out for a meal.

Seems even her cult leader number one fan didn't manage to get her paws on any 'spread'.

Does it even exist? Have any wonkily labelled jars been spotted in the wild?

I’ve seen a few items on eBay. The spread is $81

Interesting. The cynic in me wonders if they have been put straight on eBay as a response to “they can’t be that popular because nothing has appeared on eBay” 🤔

Smilesy, you read my mind. This is a clap back, I reckon.

Any takers?

That's a crazy amount to spend on generic 'spread' which probably has an intrinsic worth of a few quid tops.

It’s been up for a couple of days, so no

But a couple have been added for $ 15, $20

Are The Mail taking articles directly from the comments here now?

I've never heard of any commercial outfit trading in such a ramshackle way.

This comment from the article was a lot.

"One wrote: 'I know most people will be sad getting this message but this makes me so happy! Meghan is selling out and I couldn’t be happier for her!!

'I don’t even want my refund, I just genuinely want Meghan to know she is so loved!'"
