I’ve nothing against Kate she seems lovely but I think she could have cultivated a bit more personality for her role. I know she probably just didn’t want to get anything wrong and once she got into her stride it probably wouldn’t have seemed possible to suddenly spring a personality on to the public.

Slight derail but I have just read that H and M have appointed a new Director of Communications . Earlier this year they appointed a Chief Communications Officer .
Just wondering what exactly these roles entail and how much they can expect to be paid .
I have no idea but am thinking their salary bill must be huge !

Also, why on earth do they need all these people working for them? She's a housewife/hostess and he's...well, a professional whinger. Bizarre.

They have hired a small countries worth of PR and communications people. It flies in the face of those who claim they are happy and living their best life. Things seem a bit desperate for them.

I think I read somewhere that the salary bill was £2 million a year so yes, quite substantial. Add to that a £2 million security bill and you can see how it becomes a money churning machine.

Harry is used to the Palace machine doing things for him. He didn't need to worry about PR, a diary secretary, communications, security, housekeeping, cars etc because it was all done for him, and later, them as a couple. They honestly didn't know their level of privilege in the RF.

Harry probably didn’t even realise those people needed paying, must have been a shock to learn he has to pay them all from his own pocket.

Given what we know of Emily Robson and her relationship with the truth as portrayed in the Crown we certainly have a lot to look forward to with this match. It seems to be the perfect pairing with Harry and Meghan.

Indeed. He probably didn't even notice them. His food was brought and prepared, his clothes washed and valeted, his rooms cleaned, cars and planes appeared, engagements arranged, top security was constantly in place. As if by magic. By people he didn't even look at, I would imagine..

Was wondering if possibly the Chief Communications Officer quit, so they changed the job title to Director of Communications when replacing her, so it didn't look like another employee did a runner 😁
